The food at Bull is now pretty good! I'm not a big fan of buying Jamaican food (unless it's home cooked lol) but this restaurant does get a pass! The service is always good. The restaurant is cute, I seen a back room where's a stage is located. So I'm interested to see what live music they have. I ordered large Oxtail rice and peas with cabbage (they had no plantains which sadden me) $13.00 and an order of large Jerk Chicken and rice and peas with cabbage $11.00. I would get thirsty so why not get some delicious ginger beers $1.87 each. The jerk chicken is cooked on a grill with jerk so it has a nice flavor on the skin. The skin had a nice char and the chicken was moist. They offer jerk sauce on the side, it has a nice heat to it. The rice and peas are cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The cabbage was overall decent. I'm still bothered by not having plantains. Now the oxtail , it was absolutely horrible. Horrible in the sense of it being rubber, it was like chewing a piece of a tire. I was not satisfied at all, I honestly think they browned it for 10 mins and served it. If the oxtail was ready I'm sure it would be better. If you know it's not ready don't serve it, the sad thing is I'm now trying to recook it. Why do I have to recook food I purchased in good faith that it will be prepared nicely. I'm not sure if I'll go back and if I do hopefully they'll redeem themselves. read more

Update*** I went back to this restaurant on Sunday, Oct 6th at about 8:20pm. The rude female with the short wig or busted hair cut, watched me approach the front register. As I was approaching, she rudely turned her back and walk to the counter behind her and ignored me with her back still turned. I'm standing there waiting for her to turn back around. And she never did, I said "hello" and the other girl working the counter came up to me rapping some music with headphones on one of her ears. If I wanted to be treated like I'm not welcomed, I would have gone to one of these racist restaurants here in West Palm Beach. UPDATE: We've gotten our feet pretty wet here in Palm Beach at this point. This is, by lengths, the BEST Jamaican restaurant in Palm Beach. By next week we'll be approaching our 100th visit. UPDATE: Dropped in today because ai had a serious craving for THEIR curry goat. Decided on the mini because my cravings only require a few spoonfuls to be satisfied. I was shocked at how filling it was. For $6.36 that little box packs a serious amount of food for one person. A small isn't even needed. Also came with a drink! ----------------------------------------------------- Judged by previous reviews, I decided to drop into this place to get my own experience. Firstly, the location is great and conveniently next to Target at the corner of 441 & Okechobee. Clean, well-maintained plaza, and this was also mimicked inside the restaurant. Not much seating for a large crowd, but enough, along with the bar area. The girl at the front was very friendly which was appreciated, while the gentleman there didn't care so much - maybe not one of his best days. Ordered the (s) jerk chicken with goat gravy and it was incredibly good. Very well seasoned and done well on the jerk grill. I couldnt get enough of the little goat gravy on the rice, so I had to return the following day for the curry goat with white rice (l). I LOVED the slaw/cabbage veggie as it had a hint of sweetness to it which reminded me that the much needed plantains were missing - on both day 1 and day 2. Jamaicans do not like to eat without plantains so please honor the menu and always have it. The goat was excellent- buttery, well seasoned and delicious. I couldnt stop eating but had to, because the large was a lot. I was able to sufficiently share with my husband. I also added the rum cake with the promise that it was "great rum cake" -- very far from it. For $4, I could and will continue to live without the rum cake. It was nothing worth mentioning- except here. The price on the remaining items weren't bad, but I was blown away to discover that their mini was $6+, and is the size of the little white styrofoam restaurant desert box. Pro: Impressed that the jerk chicken was so well flavored, not dry, and done on a real grill (take notes other J'can restaurant), Id return every single day for the curry, keep up the polite attitude as customers really don't have to accept any less. Cons: Really defeated by the absence of PLANTAINS on both days, $4 rum cake wasn't worth the price. (These were so critical that they devalued the restaurant, rendering only 4 stars) Closing: This is officially my go-to Jamaican restaurant in WPB! read more

When they first opened, the service and food quality were excellent. Now it seems as if you are imposing by ordering. The food is bad, the service is deplorable. The meat is of the cheapest quality (fatty) especially the oxtail and the one served in stew peas. The owner needs to spend more time at his place and perhaps samples the food before they are served. I really don't think the meats are marinated before cooking. If you know what good Jamaican food tastes like, you will not patronize this place. Oxtail is very fatty, not trimmed. Service is terrible. Chicken has lost a lot of its flavor in the last year or so. Even the rice and beans taste different. I didn't get my plantain the last couple of times. It seems like they just throw the food on your plate and move on to the next person. I will be looking for another restaurant. read more

Looking for a quick lunch in the area and found this spot. Great Caribbean food, felt like I was back in the islands again. Every other customer that came in while we were there was Jamaican, so you know the place is good! My husband had jerk chicken which was delicious, and I had the curry chicken. Both were excellent. The plantains were perfect, the rice and beans delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was so friendly, you almost felt like you were in someone's home. The food was great. We went with the jerk chicken because there were all kinds of people coming and thought it best not to even mention where or what the food was. I'm pretty certain that if that was announced beforehand, many wouldn't have tried it because not knowing, would have said they didn't like that type of food.
