After dealing with the insurance company for nearly 2 weeks I was just about running out of clean clothes. I contacted ARR on a Wednesday and was given an appointment the following Tuesday. I mentioned my clothing situation and asked that if something opened up I'd appreciate it. ARR said they could work me in the next day. They arrived ahead of schedule and did a thorough diagnosis of my washer. He explained the problem thoroughly. Instead of selling me some expensive fix (as I would not have known the difference) Matt told me that it likely wasn't worth fixing due to it's age but that fixing it would be expensive. He told me of an option that might work (a drip pan under the washer) that would save a lot of money. He didn't have to do that. Matt, and his assistant who's name I did not catch/remember, were very easy to work with, knowledgeable and very professional. If I have any further problems with my appliances, Appliance Rescue Repair will be the first company I will call.

They pre charge your credit card for the initial visit and they sub the work out to someone and you have no idea who or what you are inviting into your home. The repairman they chose for me were Toms Same day appliance repair out of Hernando Mississippi. A couple of days after I receive a call to schedule an appointment. We set a four hour window( which is standard) and I sit and wait. Toms same day fails to show up that day. I receive a text from them finally and we decide since they have wasted my one day off that week and we make an appointment for the next Monday. Monday rolls around and I text to make sure they are on the way and they are having car trouble, but assure me they will only be a bit late. The repairman shows up around 11:15 AM wreaking of beer. He diagnoses the problem with my dishwasher with only a glance and the info I was able to supply him with. I thought he may be a drunk but he really knows his stuff. He lets me know the remaining cost after the booking deposit and informs me he does not accept credit cards. I'm really confused because that's how I made my 85$ deposit. He informs me that if I don't pay in cash or check up front that I forfeit my 85$ and I feel a bit shaken down, it's extortion. We talk a bit and I ask why I should trust him with more money when he is already a week late and smelling of beer, he tells me he does it five times a day. I tell him I will pay the rest of the money for the part but no more until the work is finished. He takes my 100$ and promises to be back with the new part by the weeks end. An entire week goes by and I start texting him again and start getting the run around, slow mail blah blah blah. Two more weeks of texting and he finally decides to come back! He installs the part, I pay him the remaining 85$ and he leaves. I get home from work that night only to realize the dish machine is still behaving the exact same. I text him and let him know that maybe the part is faulty and he says " well you were happy when I left" and I was, i figured he was going to going to keep my money for drugs or booze and I would never hear from him again. We set up another appointment for a proper diagnosis and he stands us up a few more times. So over two months have went by, almost three hundred dollars spent and I still have no dishwasher. I decide to lawyer up and let the booking company know this "Holly spring appliance repair" and almost immediately get a call from the office people or Toms same day appliance repair. They inform me this tech has been let go and they will come right out! Thank god ! Tom himself shows up and tells my wife the motors bad sorry about you luck! Now I'm really upset because of all "Toms has put me through. I call Tom and he agrees to install a new washer for free. I say no I want a refund, I don't want you people involved any more. He says ok. Then he tells me his tech( the same one they supposedly terminated )said I never paid them! So now I'm a liar! At this point I know I was Shaken down for drug or beer money. I'm exhausted, short on cash , and have no dishwasher. This has caused me so many headaches, ruined a good part of my family's holiday season, not to mention I could have spent a few hundred more and actually have a working dishwasher.
