She does a great job of talking or not-talking, depending on what the client wants, but I also always come away with one or two pieces of sage advice for self-care. If you are considering Microblading, think again. I have spent hundreds of $ the first 2 visits with Gloria were great, shape and color of my eye brows were exactly what I hoped . The last 4 visits were all to correct shaping and color which for some reason is black/grey! Gloria says she didn't change the color , but I believe differently! The last visit was to correct color with a touch up because I was still unhappy with shaping. after the appointment I was so swollen and red and couldn't tell results till the next day when I found out she didn't correct the color and she proceeded to tell me after I paid 160 for the appointment and a $15 tip total of $175 that you can't go lighter once you are darker I would need laser procedure. she offered me 30% credit. I asked for 40% which I am totally sorry I didn't ask for complete reimbursement. I am totally upset and embarrassed always trying to hide my eyebrows with my hair. My 4 year old granddaughter told me she doesn't like my eyebrows when I asked why she said they are black ! gloria is a lovely lady but this is business and I totally don't recommend her inexperience of microblading ! read more

First of all, the massage itself was pretty good. But the experience was AWFUL. This was from the groupon for deep tissue. It ran about 15 minutes late, but that wasn't a big deal. The masseuse, Donna, talked the entire time. When she was really talking, she would lose track of what she was doing and not massage. She was going on and on about things that were a bit offensive to me. I told her I was visiting a sick family member and she talked about how I needed to pray to Jesus Christ to make her well (I am Jewish). AND then said maybe I could return back for massage if I had to come back for a funeral (WHAT?!). I just said ok ok seeing as I was in a very vulnerable position. The whole time she was trying to sell me or my family another massage. She spend a lot of time getting much-needed knots out of my back and even tried the hot stone on me which was really nice. I tipped her what I had in my bad because I wasn't super impressed with the experience ($8). When I handed it to her... she demanded that she needed to get me a water (AKA count her tip). She came out and told me that they have a MANDATORY 20% TIP. I was appalled. If it was mandatory, it should have been included. And she did not deserve it. I was annoyed, but handed her my card. She came back and charged me $15 on it and said that was 20%.... when really it was supposed to be $14. She gave herself and extra dollar and then pretended she didn't understand what I was saying. All the while, the man (maybe a manager?) sat in the office staring at me. Anyway, they got $15 dollars from me, but at least I can write about it. read more

I have never had a massage nor a masseuse better than Gloria. She is simply amazing and honestly, has set the bar for me as to what an enjoyable massage is supposed to be. No one, no where has come any where close to matching the refreshing way I feel after a massage. If I could afford it (and I still lived in Chicago) I would be there once a week AT LEAST! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went for a slimming wrap off Living Social. BIG MISTAKE! The girl who did it, Stephanie, was very nice though, I had no problems with her. This place is in a office building, in an office "converted" into a spa. The chairs in the waiting room were dirty and had no support (you would think for a spa they would have nice, clean things). The "wrap" was literally 8 Ace bandages taken out of a CROCKPOT and she wrapped 1 on each arm (only the top part), 2 on each thigh, and 2 around my belly. No wraps on the hips, calves, lower arms or chest. They they wrap you up like a baked potato in a solar blanket leave you there. Not to mention, I felt uncomfotable in their disposably underwear, I left my undies and bra on. My chest wasnt wrapped or even covered by the blanket, it was all exposed. She left for 10 minutes with the lights off and came to check on me. Everything was fine. But I did hear her through the wall talking on the phone and I think they had a washing machine going that was louder than the peaceful music they play in spas. I think I maybe stayed wrapped up for 20-30 minutes... which they dont even mention that 10 minutes or so is dedicated to wrapping/unwrapping. She took my measurements before and after the wrap, they didnt even give me a copy so I have no idea what I lost and where I lost it. Probably would never go back to this place, you look like youd get raped in there. read more

I have been going to Gloria for over ten years and she is amazing! I wont go to anyone else, ever. She will rub out any sore or tense muscle, it may hurt, but it is worth the pain. She is a savior for runners with tight ITB, and will spend time teaching you proper stretches based upon where she finds the knots in your muscles. I went here after purchasing a Living Social certificate for a facial. Gloria provided the facial. It wasn't the best, but ok for what I paid. However, she talked me into pre paying for a second facial for $50. I did and regretted doing so. My second facial was with Donna. She was very aggressive trying to talk me into 'upgrading" or buying add ons. She left the light on the whole time and talked. The facial was not relaxing at all. She kept telling me I had roscea , when in fact I have broken capilliaries on my face. She just wanted to sell me products they they have in their salon. Extremely unprofessional. Our massages were scheduled at 10:30, we got there at 10:15 and the doors were locked, a few minutes later one of the guys showed up. The second lady showed up about ten minutes later where she just started complaining about being called in. Once the massage started she continued to talk about how it was her only day off and she was pissed about being there. My massage was the most painful massage I've experienced but it was whatever. After the massage my boyfriend left his wallet in the car, but they cornered us and wouldn't stop trying to sell us another package, then told us that she only gets paid $15 for the massage and gratuity wasn't included, and who likes to work on a Sunday? By the way, that was the day they gave me, it's not like I was picky with the day. Overall, it was very uncomfortable and I won't be returning. read more

I am 29 and I have had acne prone skin my entire life and I wish I had known there were alternatives to strong products to treat problematic skin. Gloria is a true professional, very friendly and welcoming and provides excellent service. I have been back at least 5 more times for the same Microdermabrasion and LED light treatment as well as regular facials. I also took my mother there for mother's day this year for a facial and she loved it as well. Gloria has been very helpful in making recommendations for improving my skin from habits to products. However, Gloria does not push products at all and recommends sampling a product before purchasing. My skin never looked or felt better. I drove a long way to get there and told myself on the way there that I will never purchase a groupon that is far from my house. There was nothing relaxing or pleasurable about the experience and as others have mentioned, the lights were left on and the woman talked too much. The aesthetician who was assigned to me told me I had oily skin, which I do. However, my skin in the areas she targeted is STILL and flaky and dry two weeks later. I have been going to the owner of GT Massage, Gloria, for years, and her deep tissue massage has helped me tremendously with neck pain, back pain, and pain in my wrists/forearms from computer use. I favor her deep tissue work, which can be painful if you have problem areas, but the results are profound. (Of course, she will go lighter if you ask, but I'm interested in the therapeutic effects of working out knots and tight muscles, and this is not easy.) She creates a soothing ambiance with lighting and music, and often uses hot stones, which she keeps moving so they are gentle on the skin and very relaxing. She also makes time in her pre- or post-consultation to teach stretches, home massage techniques, and/or use of the foam roller or other tools to help you help yourself. She is entirely health-focused and professional. I've been to many, many massage therapists, and she is the best. I would pay full price for a massage from her instead of half-price anywhere else I've been. read more
