My family and I have been seeing Christine regularly for the past 15+ years, and she also recently did hair for my wedding day (she also did my prom hair 10 years ago!). She is AMAZING, no matter what she does. What a horrible experience!! UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. The owner, Christine, is a CROOK. Stay away unless you want to be ripped off, AND have your hair BUTCHERED all at the same time! **** She pads her google and yelp reviews by having her friends leave fake 5 star reviews (see Cindy B, right above me, or also any of the multiple google reviews immediately after mine), and reports any real client google reviews. Why? Because they have horrible experiences and call her out for lacking talent/skill and she can't handle the truth!!! **** I paid $225 total WITH my Groupon, and left without the hair color or cut that I wanted. To top it all off, she parted my hair down the middle to cut it, and my front pieces are SOOO uneven!! My right side is over an 1.5 inches longer than my left side!! Great Clips isn't even that careless! After reading all the FAKE 5 star reviews, I bought a groupon for a haircut, conditioning treatment, blow dry, and style with full highlights/lowlights. From the moment I walked in, I was very clear that I wanted very natural looking lowlights to compliment my extremely dark brown hair. I used words like "espresso colored", which you would think would be a great guide for a hairdresser who has been in the industry for 20 years. Unfortunately, Christine took this to mean I wanted blonde highlights in my dark brown/borderline black hair... Have you EVER seen blonde highlights naturally occurring in dark hair?? Me either. But Christine has. She bleached, toned, and processed my hair, and once she blew it out, I looked like a skunk. She was super happy with the job she did, and I was left sitting in her chair annoyed. She had repeated back exactly what I wanted, and then did what SHE wanted with my hair. I told her right away that I don't like it, and I don't want blonde in my hair(which I had made clear in the very beginning). AGAIN, I want brown tones for a very natural look. Right away, she said there would be an extra charge for that. So in the end, not only did I waste 5+ hours in her chair, walked out without the hair cut OR color that I wanted, walked out with unevenly cut hair so my right side is an inch longer than my left side, AND I had to pay an extra $90 for god only knows what. A quality salon doesn't make you pay for THEIR mistakes... It's one thing if I change my mind halfway thru my hair appointment and go from wanting blonde to brunette. This was Christine's fault. She didn't mix the correct toners OR leave them in long enough to achieve the look I came in requesting, and then SHE CHARGED ME FOR HER MISTAKE!!! Absolute worst experience at a supposed "higher end salon" ever. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. AVOID USING HER GROUPON TOO. Multiple times through my 5 hour visit, she felt the need to share how much she dislikes using Groupon, how cheap those clients are, and how Groupon supposedly begs her to use them. Maybe if she could actually listen to her client, mix the correct shades to tone with, and leave the toner in for long enough, there'd be no need for the redo/upcharge, and people wouldn't leave so unhappy and feeling cheated. In the end, I spent $225, and would've had a MUCH better experience at an actual high end salon for the same price. PS: she replied to my google review and wants to argue the time spent in her chair, and that I supposedly came in with a bad haircut. Pics of my hair from the day before are now up. I have been having my wild hair cut by Chris for several years now. She does such a wonderful job keeping me looking trim that I brought my husband in to have her cut his thinning hAir! She cuts it to give it a fuller look and he is very happy with it! I highly recommend Chris. She really knows how to make everyone look their best!!! read more

I found this salon on Groupon. I read yelp reviews and decided to give it a shot. Christine did a great job at making me feel like I'd been going there for years. Very personable. She listened to what I needed done and I wasn't disappointed. She talked me though what she was doing. B/C I used a groupon I knew in advance what wasn't included on the deal, so there were no surprise costs. The color looked amazing and my haircut was exactly what I wanted. One thing to make note of is, the salon does not face the main street. You need to drive to the back of the building. I'm so glad I found this place, I'll be a repeat customer for sure! read more

Christine is part of "Locks for Love". My daughter went in and had 15 inches of hair cut to send to Locks for Love. Along with Christine explaining how important this Locks for Love is, she also cut and styled my daughters hair to what my daughter wanted. Of course Christine did give her professional advice and my daughter's hair cut was adorable! When you donate your hair (12 inches or more) to Locks for Love, Christine gives you a free cut, style and blow dry! I love lotus!! The space itself is beautiful and so clean. Christine is very talented in both her craft and making people feel welcome. Sometimes seeing a new stylist can feel awkward but I honestly Felt like I was just talking to an old friend. My hair was exactly how I wanted it and even softer and healthier feeling than I could have imagined. She gave me a lot of tips and suggestions on better ways to take care of my hair too, without being pushy, which I appreciated.
