GT Optimo did fantastic work with complex job - four adjacent neighbors on steep hill had two large Norway Maples and one medium Crimson Maple taken down, and a very large oak trimmed. We interviewed 7 different tree services and Gustavo was clearly most capable and best price. His team completed the huge job in one day using a variety of tools and methods (climbing, cherry picker, crane) and they brought the trees and limbs down safely, leaving all our yards clean. They took extreme care with our fences and plantings. They even removed and replanted a small bush in order not to damage it. I contacted 12 different tree service companies (seriously! I have a spreadsheet!) to remove a 55' Norway Spruce from my teeny tiny Medford Hillside backyard. There are a lot of trees in Massachusetts, and arborists are often slammed with work and difficult to get ahold of. But not only was GT Optimo the fastest, friendliest, and most professional company I talked to, their estimate came in at around HALF the cost of the other estimates! It wasn't an easy job. My driveway is too narrow to get a large truck into, and there are neighbors and fences on all sides. The owner, Gustavo, talked to the neighbors bordering the back of my yard and got permission to use their driveway for a bucket truck, and I talked to my next door neighbor to use their larger driveway for a disposal truck. While other companies took one look and immediately thought "We're going to need cranes, city permitting..." and charged accordingly, GT Optimo looked at it as a puzzle to be solved and went out of their way (even with day-of coordination and logistical challenges) to figure out how to get the tree down as efficiently and unobtrusively as possible. They laid down protective grass covers and got massive trucks into tiny spaces with incredible skill and dexterity. Cleanup was impeccable, I noticed that they even took special care not to crush my nearby tomato plants, even though I hadn't mentioned them. I also had a huge pile of old rhododendron branches off to the side of the backyard (had just done a major post-bloom prune) and they put those through the chipper while they were at it! It was something I hadn't even thought of -- I'd been trying to figure out what to do with those old branches for the last week! Fantastic attention to detail, they really went above and beyond to take care of my property like it was their own. I'm extremely impressed with how quickly and efficiently everything was handled as well. I called on Monday to ask for an estimate, the tree was gone on Thursday. I'm sure I got a little lucky with the timing, but it was also in large part to the geographic and logistical coordination skills of Gustavo. He even stopped by on his way to another job to ask the neighbors about using their driveway because I hadn't been able to reach them yet! I'm very happy I found GT Optimo -- everything turned out fantastically. GT Optimo came by a couple of weeks back to review a job I had and to provide an estimate. I was impressed with his ability to do the whole job (porch replacement and threshold), and he seemed quite knowledgeable on the work involved. He promised an estimate within 3-4 days. After his initial visit, I never heard back from him. If you are not interested in giving an estimate then please don't waste my time to come out to look a the job in the first place and then not have the courtesy to get back to me. I provided sketches and a detailed description of the job ahead of time, so he knew what the job involved. read more

GT Optimo Construction and Tree Service removed two trees for me on 11/3 due to the storm on 10/30. The trees were beteeen my backyard and my neighbor's backyard. The tree that fell landed in my yard and my neighbor's yard to the right and the second tree was dead and very dangerous. They brought in a bucket truck, crane and chipper truck. They cut down the dangerous tree and removed the the tree that fell. They worked safely and ensured no damage was caused to my neighbor's yard from the trucks by laying down plywood as they could only access the trees from his backyard. Everything was completed in four hours. I was extremely impressed by GT Optimo from the first phone call to the completed project. I needed to have a tree removed that is very close to my septic tank, therefore, the tree could not be dropped on the ground. I met with Gustavo and he told me that would not be a problem because they would swing the tree into the driveway. I set up an appointment and confirmed for 8:00 A.M. on 9/11/21. At 9:00 A.M. I called Gustavo and asked for an estimated time of arrival. He told me that his assistant, Corrina called me multiple times the day before to confirm the appointment, but couldn't reach me, therefore he changed his schedule. I told him that was not true because I confirmed the appointment on 9/8/21 (in writing) with Corrina and, additionally, I did not have any messages or missed called from her. Gustavo then told me that he would be at my house between 11:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. At 12:30 P.M.his crew showed up and told me they could not do the job because they needed to drop the tree on the ground near the septic tank. I called Gustavo and he denied the initial conversation (despite me having it in writing) and blamed me, saying that "I wasted his time." Very unprofessional! read more
