The car I choose had a tear on the drivers side door, Richard said they would have it fixed. fast forward to March 18th my daughter took my car in to have it fixed So now we are in the Pandemic of the covid-19 on the 22 of March I called discount to see if my car was done, no answer 15 mins I called no answer. So I called Richard on his personal cell phone and he informed me they were closed due to the virus. But he went out of his way on his time to find out if my car was done and it was so Richard gave me the address to where my car was. When my car started making an awful metallic rattling noise, I tried to schedule an appointment with Vandergriff sevice department but they were days out and I needed it looked at ASAP. Hiley Acura was able to get me in the next day and provided me with a loaner car. China at Hiley is amazing!! What they found was alarming. According to the records, Vandergriff had performed a brake inspection and replaced the rear brake pads on June 9. Just over two months later, Hiley Acura determined that my vehicle was unsafe to drive. Their inspection found that the rear brake job had been done improperly, including missing clips necessary to properly secure the brake components. I offered Vandergriff video evidence and documentation from Hiley Acura showing the faulty brake work. When I contacted them the refused to help me whatsoever. I'm a single mom who works in the public school system, and I simply cannot be without a vehicle for days. I had no choice but to have the repairs completed immediately, costing me nearly $2,000. Vandergriff is now refusing to honor their workmanship or reimburse me. Apparently, their customer service philosophy is: take your money, hope nothing goes wrong, and if it does.....good luck. When it comes to something as serious as brakes and vehicle safety, I expected accountability from a dealership. Instead, Vandergriff chose to leave me with the bill. Think twice before trusting them with your vehicle and especially before expecting them to stand behind their work.
