Celebrated my daughter getting her first job. We took the Metro bus from the Friendship Hts stop to the Bethesda stop and walked the rest of the way for dinner. Place was about half-filled with customers so we were able to score a nice table. Nice menu. We ordered three entrees, a few drinks, and we provided plenty of chips and salsa. The chicken lupita was excellent! Food and service were very good and definitely visit again.

Can we return yet? Yum. Yum. Yum. Guapo's is located beside Whole Foods and across the street from the old Container Store (rip). The restaurant validates parking for two hours at the parking garage. (If you linger longer than two hours, parking is $8) The food is delicious. Our server let me try a few sauces when I was undecided about which one I wanted on my burrito. The flavors. The plating. The decor. It's all great. The place gets noisy. We visited for lunch and had such a great time that we lingered until dinner was being served. No one rushed us out. Our water was being refilled even after we paid the bill. The tiles are beautiful. The restaurant is lovely. The patio seating looks pretty. I'll be back.

Holy guacamole these portions were huge! Good Mexican overall, and not bad price. Will be getting again so I can make a few meals out of it!

Solid | Affordable | busy Solid -The restaurant offers a solid selection of traditional Mexican dishes. They provide a full menu with numerous options and above-average chips and salsa. Affordable -Considering the location and ambiance, the prices are impressively reasonable for the exceptional quality of food offered. I highly recommend checking out their happy hour specials, which feature a delightful selection of appetizers and beverages at great prices. It's also a perfect spot for a romantic date night, thanks to the cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Additionally, if you're looking for a quick yet satisfying lunch with colleagues, this restaurant is an excellent choice, providing delicious options that won't keep you away from work for long. Busy - They are located in a bustling area with numerous stores and a popular metro stop just a two-minute walk away. As a result, there is a lot of foot and car traffic if you choose to sit outside. If you plan to have an important conversation, it's better to sit inside to ensure you can hear each other clearly. Pro tip: No parking available. Please walk, use public transit, or allow an additional 10 minutes for travel time.

This review is for the private event space upstairs of guapos tenleytown. We held our baby shower here this past weekend and had a blast. Love that the space was already nicely decorated, we just added some extra floral arrangements, signage, table runners and personal touches. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The coordinator was easy to reach. The food/dessert came out on time and was cooked to expectation. The drinks at the bar were good and we could make special requests without any issues. Parking was easy at the garage behind the restaurant. You can even park in the back of the restaurant to quickly unload supplies. Pretty fair price with different tier options for patrons to choose from.

This is a fun, spacious and brightly decorated eatery in Tenleytown. We needed a quick bite before an event -- this was a little more leisurely than I'd like -- I was getting anxious, so we quickly asked for the bill as soon as our meals came. The food was good, tasty -- although my shrimp tacos were a little meagre on toppings. This would be a better choice if we had a group and were celebrating something. Still, if I find myself back in Tenleytown -- this would be great for a margarita!

The food was amazing and the music was top tier! I loved my drinks and food and the service was amazing!! Please check them out they have multiple locations that are truly a dime to check out!!!

Shrimp and chicken fajitas (exactly 3 pieces of each for 30 dollars...)
    Emily M.

The absolute worst experience with food I've ever had in DC!! Will never go back! Ordered in restaurant for an appetizer which was fine. However, as soon as we got home, excited to eat our To Go orders, we were disappointed to see the chicken and shrimp dish had exactly TWO shrimp and the Chicken and shrimp fajitas had three STRIPS OF CHICKEN (not even a full chicken breast) and exactly THREE PUNY SHRIMP! This is a disgusting excuse for food, especially in Georgetown where everything is supposedly high quality and expensive. We spent over $150 dollars for these meals which shouldn't have even been served if they cared about their customers. Don't go here.

Food Eh Service - was not served on time shoved in the back of the restaurant check was not given 1.5 hours of waiting, had to literally juggle wallets in the air and get manager for check. Almost got stabbed by a TWEAKER outside! US service member in our party was harassed outside restaurant as well. Price was egregious Bottomless chips were fire! Chat gpt makes me laugh good tvs Would come again!

This restaurant has been a staple in my family for years. The chips and salsa are always fresh and the margaritas are affordable and tasty. This visit I ordered the Chile rellenos which were massive and very filling but also very heavy (comes with the territory I suppose). My dad enjoyed his salad and my mom loved her tacos. The tortilla soup here is also perfect for a winter day! Service was good as well.

DC has incredible food from across Latin America, but when it comes to Mexican food and Tex-Mex, I have opinions. Strong ones. And I remain on my seemingly never-ending search for the perfect DC breakfast burrito. In the meantime, thank God for La Tejana. I'm incredibly lucky to live nearby, which means I can sneak over on a weekday when there's little to no line, walk in, order, and be back out ridiculously quickly. I usually bring my dog along for the adventure because the whole operation is so efficient that it really can be a quick in-and-out. The staff has also always been wonderful. My order is the Uncle P. I get three tacos, eat two for breakfast, and save the third for a little snack later. And the cilantro crema salsa? I could probably drink it. It is SO good. But we need to talk about the tortillas. Their tortillas are fantastic, and this is one of those details that makes or breaks breakfast tacos and burritos for me. I've found some decent breakfast burritos around DC, only to have the whole thing ruined by a sad store-bought tortilla. Flavor, texture--it matters! I somehow keep missing La Tejana's tortilla sales, so apparently I need to get much better at stalking their social media. I also loved when they had the bar and went a few times while it was open. Maybe it comes back someday, maybe it doesn't. Either way, I'm just happy La Tejana is here. Until DC finally delivers the breakfast burrito of my dreams, I will continue pretending three La Tejana tacos are one deconstructed miniature breakfast burrito. It's working for me.
