Due to…read moresome bad luck, our car broke down in the mountains and we decided to tow it back to Calgary rather than Canmore... the tow truck driver suggested Cochrane to minimize the distance, so I looked up this place and we decided to try it based on a good review. Normally I'm pretty cynical when it comes to mechanics, because I've had my share of issues with them, but the mechanic we dealt with deserves some kind of award for great service. Not just for a mechanic, but by any standard. He proved that he had exceptional troubleshooting ability with our car, and he was extremely patient in taking the time to explain to us (on the phone and in person) the nature of the problem, what he felt needed to be done, and why. Would I recommend this shop? Well, let me put it this way... we live in the SE of Calgary, but the next time I need major work done we'll be headed back out to Cochrane.

I've stopped in there numerous times, the shop keep has always been helpful and offered good insight, both with treating septic tanks, replacing vents, water proofing advise, batteries that will hold up in aggressive cold weather winter camping. I recently upgraded my truck camper and the fridge didn't work, they sold me a part that I could return that they used in house for their own troubleshooting - I appreciate that and the guidance as it helped me diagnose my issue. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my RV in to them for service if I needed to. In the meantime, Hobo is my goto place for everything RV as the pieces/parts I needed have always been in stock, and I've been happy to get my items ordered and pick them up later. Thanks hobo RV!

This was the most unpleasant experience we have ever had from an owner of the business. We had a…read morequestion about the hours billed for the labour on my van, the only person available to speak with was the owner. He was very unprofessional, belligerent and angry within one minute of speaking with us. He could not justify any of the labour charges on the bill as he stated he did not work on my unit. As he continued to get angrier he stated I was not welcome as a customer and to never come back to his business again. My reply was I would be back so he could warranty the work if there were any issues. I have never been treated so poorly by any business owner. I will not be recommending Wild Mountain RV to anyone I know and will let the RV repair person that did recommend them to me to stop as the whole experience was very upsetting and unpleasant.

The last straw; Their tech work wet/muddy boots in my RV, when I asked him to take his boots off or step out of the RV, he stormed off. When speaking to the front desk about it(SAM), he said I was in the wrong and I am not allowed to talk to their techs, I asked what I did wrong he said "I did not drop it". After spending almost $10,000 with them you would think there would be some customer service. I asked Sam what is going to be done about the mud on the carpet in rig and he stated "I'm am no longer welcome there." So much for warranting their work. Disappointing to say the least. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else, save yourself money, time and frustration by using a different repair shop. I know I will never go back.

We couldn't find anyone to even look at it until we were referred to Derek by Bucar's RV. In spite of being very busy Derek understood our problem and fit us in saying he would at least diagnose our issues if he wasn't able to repair it due to parts and our timeline. Well, he not only diagnosed it, he fixed it and had us up and running in an amazingly short amount of time. On top of that it was hundreds of dollars less than anticipated.
