ArrKann Trailer and RV Center - Cracked tires on delivery

    ArrKann Trailer and RV Center

    (9 reviews)

Misrepresentation, Hidden Damage, and a $30,000 Loss…read more Our experience with ArrKann Trailer & RV Center Rocky View has been nothing short of disastrous. We purchased a used motorhome from Eva Moser (Internet Sales Manager) and Brock Simmons (General Sales Manager) in May 2024 after being assured it was "like brand new," fully inspected, and in excellent condition. Those statements were blatantly untrue. In fact, Brock Simmons refused to provide items promised at the time of sale until we escalated the issue to their head office. After driving 800 km to pick up the unit, we immediately found multiple problems -- and even more surfaced within the first 24 hours of taking possession. These included a torn mattress, missing parts, cracked tires, electrical failures, a leaking hot water tank, Tv that did not work, backup camera that would come on and off even though there was no key in vehicle and a large stain above the driver's seat that staff dismissed as "soap residue." This stain was later proven to be long-term, undisclosed water damage -- damage that ArrKann Trailer & RV Center Rocky View should have known about, and that CanaDream Inc., the actual owner at the time, had already documented. None of this was disclosed during the sale. While we were filling the water tank prior to leaving the lot, when we saw the rear tires in the light of day. They were cracked all around the tire side walls and deep into the tread of the tires, initial response was how did those get missed by our inspection and also by CanaDream Inc. as they are an Alberta licensed Government inspection facilities. We have the records of that inspection with the inspectors name and license number. showing all the tires were good? So either the licensed facility is lying on inspections or someone changed out good tires for bad ones between CanaDream Inc and ArrKAnn Rv in Calgary? We were never given an answer just a story and reluctance to replace them! What followed was months of runaround between ArrKann Trailer & Sport Center in Edmonton and CanaDream Inc. in Delta, BC. We were forced to make repeated 860 km trips for repairs at our own expense, only to have those repairs delayed, mishandled, or ignored. While the motorhome sat unusable for months, water began leaking into the front cab -- the exact area we flagged on day one and were falsely told by Eva Moser and Riley, the technician who handled our walkthrough, that the unit had "no leaks or previous damage." Later documentation provided by Chris Caldwell of ArrKann RV, confirmed prior roof problems and roof work in all the same locations where the damage appeared. To make things worse, ICBC couldn't even transfer the registration because the motorhome was still registered to CanaDream Inc., not ArrKann. They sold us a vehicle they had not properly transferred or legally registered. The repairs eventually completed by CanaDream were not up to industry standard, and none were documented. We were denied any copies of repair records, as CanaDream and ArrKann claimed everything was an internal agreement between Jason Granger (Sales Manager, CanaDream Inc.) and Chris Caldwell (VP Customer Experience & Marketing, ArrKann Trailer & Sport Center). We were then asked to sign a release waiving any future claims on the unit. We refused -- their urgency to secure our signature said everything. In early 2025, when we attempted to trade the motorhome in, the receiving dealer uncovered major structural roof damage, hidden repairs, and long-term water intrusion that both ArrKann and CanaDream failed to disclose. As a direct result, we suffered losses exceeding $30,000. When we approached Chris Caldwell for compensation or accountability, we were refused. We were told the RV was used and had "no warranty," despite months of false assurances, misrepresentation, and repeated promises that ArrKann would "make it right." If you are considering buying from ArrKann Trailer & Sport Center, proceed with extreme caution. Our experience has been financially devastating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. It appears that used RVs sourced from CanaDream are being flipped quickly with minimal inspection, poor transparency, and broken promises. We trusted their claim of being a "family-owned, award-winning RV dealership." Unfortunately, our experience suggests otherwise. Their advertising around repairs and winterizing now feels like the old story of a fox guarding the henhouse. We are now pursuing legal options to recover some of our losses.

WARNING: Hidden Damage, Misrepresentation, and a $30,000 Loss…read moreWe purchased a CanaDream Inc used motorhome from ArrKann RV (Rocky View) after being assured by Eva Moser and Brock Simmons that it was "like brand new," fully inspected, and in excellent condition. That was not true. On pickup -- after driving 800 km -- we found multiple obvious issues: torn mattress, missing parts, cracked and unsafe tires, leaking hot water tank, dead TV, electrical problems, and a large stain above the driver's seat that staff called "soap residue." This stain was later proven to be long-term water damage. Months later we were accidentally given CanaDream Inc's internal service history, which ArrKann RV never disclosed. It showed repeated roof leaks and repairs in the exact areas we questioned on day one. None of this was disclosed before the sale. The tires were especially alarming. Despite "passing" an Alberta inspection, they were cracked deep into the tread. Neither ArrKann Rv nor CanaDream Inc. could explain how the inspection signed off on them. We still never received a clear answer. What followed were repeated 860 km trips for repairs -- all at our own cost -- with the motorhome sitting unusable for months while leaks continued. Repairs were delayed, incomplete, or undocumented. We were denied copies of repair records because ArrKann RV and CanaDream Inc. claimed everything was handled through their "internal agreement." ICBC later informed us the motorhome was still registered to CanaDream, meaning ArrKann sold it before it was even properly transferred. After 14 months, when we tried to trade the unit in, an independent dealer found major structural roof damage and hidden repair work that made the unit worth far less. We lost over $30,000 because of undisclosed issues. Stay way from thesis dealerships if you want truth and honesty, you will only be deceived!

No word of a lie, our first experiences with Rangeland were amazing! We purchased our unit through…read morethem easily and they worked very hard to make sure our financing limit was respected while making sure we were still fully protected within our trailer's four walls. It's the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. That was then... The last couple of years have been a big challenge with respect to servicing and it's changed my tune on this company. We've been servicing our trailer each year to make sure everything is in top shape, but when they're either not responding to online or over-the-phone requests, they're telling me that the best available date is months off! We had critical work to be done (one axel was misaligned and causing damage) and we were unceremoniously told in late May that they could slip us into the schedule in October. At this point, I don't know where to bring our trailer if something comes up. Other Forest River dealers won't touch our unit when they learn where we purchase it from. I don't understand what's changed at Rangeland, but the team we bought from and the service we received early on has completely vanished.

Here's a polished and professional rewrite of your review/complaint:…read more I purchased a used 2019 Rockwood Lite trailer and picked it up on May 1. Shortly after taking possession, I notified Parker, the salesperson, that the fridge was going into "check" mode when plugged into shore power and also when running on propane. The trailer was also tripping the breaker at my house. Parker and I agreed that I would take the trailer camping over the May long weekend and then return it afterward for repairs. The service department was very helpful. They replaced a part on the fridge and advised me that it was working properly. I brought the trailer home, plugged it in, and everything initially seemed fine. The following day, I checked on the trailer and found the fridge had gone back into "check" mode and was sounding the alarm. I switched the fridge to propane while leaving the trailer plugged in, but the same issue continued and the alarm kept sounding. I contacted the service department and let them hear the noise over the phone. Another service appointment was scheduled, and I continued using the trailer. During this time, I unplugged the trailer from the power and operated it on battery power with the fridge running on propane. Under those conditions, the fridge worked perfectly. When I returned the trailer for service, I explained that the fridge operated properly on propane when the trailer was not plugged in, but consistently went into "check" mode and sounded the alarm whenever shore power was connected. Today, I received a call from the service department informing me that the refrigerator control board needed to be replaced. The manager stated that this was a different problem than the one previously repaired and that I would be responsible for up to $500 in repair costs. Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I have had with management. When I purchased the trailer for $34,000, the front window was cracked and needed replacement. The manager had the salesperson ask whether I would pay the additional $1,400 required for the repair. When I became upset and indicated that I wanted to cancel the entire purchase, the manager suddenly changed his position and claimed it had all been a misunderstanding. Would I purchase another RV from this dealer? Absolutely not. I would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere. In my opinion, this trailer had not been properly serviced before it was sold. It was not even properly cleaned. I found a baby bottle nipple in the bed area, and the outside kitchen was quite dirty. To be fair, the service department has been very good to deal with and has tried to help. My concerns are with the overall management of the dealership, which has been disappointing. Service Department: Very Good Management: Not Recommended This version keeps the facts and frustration intact while making it clearer, more professional, and more persuasive if you're posting it as a public review or submitting it as a formal complaint.

Yesterday I had the most terrifying experience of my life!!…read moreI went to pick up my trailer for storage to bring home for the night for camping this weekend as I have done since I bought it a year ago.. everything went right but something was very wrong.. 10 Minutes down the road on a country road in Airdrie with no shoulder and all of a sudden the trailer slams down on the ground as I'm going 90 and starts bouncing back and forth only attached by one cable as the cable was sheared, the emergency brake line pulled to lock the trailer breaks and the metal was dragging on the ground shooting sparks thru the air!! All while I try to slow down my vehicle and the trailer and stop without rolling either into the ditch as the was NO shoulder to pull over! I decided to try to call Racetrack RV where I bought it a year ago to ask their suggestion as to how I can move it now before I called a tow truck.. I was frantic! The receptionist who answered said no problem I'm going to transfer you to someone who can help.. The guy on the phone said no problem where are you I'm on my way!!Keep in mind I didn't just buy it.. it was in May 2017!! But after sitting terrified on the road , in the pouring rain not able to move I see the Racetrack truck pull up and feel so relieved!! I walk back to greet him and it's the owner!!! He gets down on the ground replaces the line so I am able to unlock and drive then says " ok now let's drive it to my service lot and I'll follow so you know you're safe" The Service business lot was closed for the day so he unlocks, drives me in, takes the trailer off my vehicle and as I'm thanking him over and over I ask when it can be fixed..he says " oh you're still camping this weekend this is our first service to be completed tomorrow " Now that is Customer Service..Talk about going above and beyond!!!! I love supporting companies who truly care about people!!

(I added the parts & service department as a separate company since they are in different locations…read moreand operate differently) So far so good! I've dealt with several people in parts & service since I bought my trailer at the RV show in February 2016. The latest was Shawn and I gotta say, so far he's been great to deal with. He was very accommodating by coming in on his day off so I could pick up my unit that was in for some warranty work and accident repair. He was helpful and thoroughly explained everything that was done. He has a genuine concern that the customers he looks after are happy with the service they've been given and that they will feel comfortable coming back should they need service in the future. My trailer was cleaned and ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. They also did a few minor services, like inspect the roof and tire pressure. These little things mean a lot to a customer. I've emailed the parts department several times and always got a response in a very timely manner. I will never recommend the Racetrack business team that I had the misfortune of dealing with (Matt & Josh) but I will absolutely recommend their parts and service staff, their sales staff and Ken, the owner as people I will do business with again. As someone that runs a camping group in Calgary, I will be sure to share my experience with the over 500 members in my group :)
