I scheduled an appointment to have an electrician come today to install a light fixture that I had already bought. The appointment was confirmed yesterday and the electrician was set to come today anytime between 11-3 pm. This morning I received a text that my appointment needed to be rescheduled to another day over the next few weeks due to a "bunch" of emergency appointments that just happened to come in today! I am 8 months pregnant and have absolutely no light in my kitchen and really needed that light fixture installed. After begging them to keep the appointment today between 11-3 pm, they agreed to move things around to accommodate me and keep my appointment. Needless to say, 3:30 pm came and went and my electrician, Jason, never came. I called the office and spoke with Sebastian who said that the electrician, Jason, would come to my place next after he finished his last job - so it was estimated he would be at my house around 4:30 pm today. I received a call around 4:51 pm today and spoke with Courtney who said that the electrician would not be coming over today as he got an emergency appointment for a house that did not have any heating. I asked about all the other emergency appointments that they received today since the text I received this morning stated that all the appointments were an "emergency" and was told that all the houses did not have heating and that's why my appointment needed to be rescheduled to a few weeks from now! I called BS about every single appointment today being a house that did not have heating, as I was told by Courtney over the phone. I honestly just think the electrician did not want to travel the 40 minutes from his current location to my house. When asked to reschedule, I asked if the company could schedule me tomorrow as I am having difficulty walking around my kitchen with an 8 month pregnant belly and they told me that the earliest they could fit me in was Monday afternoon! Such BS!! If I could leave a negative (-5 star) review I would! Please stay away from this lying company and find another place that is more reliable, competent, and reputable. read more

Their guarantee is that they will Not fulfill their warrantees after installation and talking your money. They were supposed to replace condensation pipes when installing the new unit and Did Not. Now after a flooding due to leakage from condensation pipes not being replaced in the beginning, they came fixed a piece of the pipe only, left a bunch of damages on walls without any remorse. After several calls, to-date they have not come or even called about fixing their negligence. They refuse to reimburse for the damages their inexperience and sloppy work caused. Irresponsible, dishonest and Do Not live up to their name. Next time, I will attached photos. read more

Worst company to to deal with, This company will take the money and run we had so many problems with the unit they recommended and installed. after spending $18000 we get run around. we have to call multiple time to get it fixed.Still the unit is not working. He showed up on time, put on booties, checked it all out thoroughly (& our unit's in our attic), figured out the problem & fixed it. Cleaned up after himself and left a number if anything else came up. Friendly, respectful, and professional service. Guaranteed Service was an easy-to-deal-with operation: assessed well by dispatch and kept informed of technician's estimated arrival time (which was accurate). They're our "go-to" for HVAC & plumbing needs. Not cheap (is any plumber or electrician???) but we feel they treated us fairly with competitive prices and gave us good, reliable products and good service. read more

AC was sporadically working, we tried to call Mid-State who we used for decades. Guaranteed called back. Tech barely looked at unit & told us it needed to be replaced. Was going to days before we'd get an estimate. Found a local company to come out & new tech immediately saw that a small component needed to be replaced, and outdoor unit needed to be cleaned out. Small, quick, inexpensive fix. When we told him about other tech's assessment that unit was dead, he hesitantly told us that it appeared that a wire had recently been pulled rendering unit dead...said he had heard of companies that do this but had never seen it before. And Guaranteed keeps calling us as if we have a service contract with them. Seems like they prey on gullible customers. read more

I got a new central A/C unit 3 years ago and a plumbing issue with main line and valves last year. Office staff is great & makes scheduling easy. Field manager Tim O'Keefe is awesome. He put my mind at ease with deciding what do. Never pushy for a sale. Great warranties & fair prices/financing. I can't say enough good things about this company. I tell everyone about them. My hot water heater died. Called Guaranteed and immediately got a person and was able to quickly schedule an appointment. they not only sent a confirmation but continued to keep me abreast of their arrival. they arrived on time and then worked - NON-STOP - until 10:30pm the same day to install a NEW tankless system. the amount of work was hefty and they had a full team of folks on the job. they did a wonderful job of installing the unit but also went further to correct errors that were currently in place - i.e. they not only did their job (very well btw) but also corrected other issues to assure that the installation was done perfectly. All their workers were incredibly professional (from the person who took the call, to the initial "assessor", to the full team of folks who came out. I've used other local plumbers but found these guys to be wonderful. Their prices were fair and they were instructive in assuring i got the right system for my needs. They should change their name because the service is not guranteed, not even with an appointment. Had an appointment scheduled in the morning on a 95 degree day and while we are waiting for them to show up, I get a call saying they need to reschedule. When I ask to speak to someone in charge, they said this is a call center and they don't have anyone in charge. If you want guaranteed service call any other place but this one. We called another company that morning and someone came over within 2 hours, fixed the AC unit and left. No hussle, no waiting. This was my first time dealing with Guaranteed Service and it was a huge waste of time. Should have listened to the other reviews. read more

We had a tech come out to check our system, he said it was no good and we needed a new one. This cost me $100, that would be put toward the cost if we used them. The tech scheduled an estimate for the same night. When we received the estimates, the lowest being $14,850. We said we would let them know, he left in a huff stating he wouldn't have driven here if we were not buying that night. These people, after I spoke for 10 minutes with a customer service rep, stated that it would cost our company $52 to come and diagnose the issue, and the same $52 would be added to our cost if we hired them. The tech came and immediately asked for $400 to look at the problem. His attitude sucked! They/He tried to take advantage of our small nonprofit. Our hot water heater stopped cooperating after 8 years so we called Guaranteed Service, who we have used for a few years, to come and check it out. We phoned in the evening thinking we would have to leave a voice mail. A human actually answered. He set us up with an appointment the following morning. After a thorough inspection by Stephen H., it was determined our heater was malfunctioning and might last awhile longer with a repair, but no sure thing. Stephen H explained everything so well, and gave us options to choose from. There was no sales pressure, just the facts as he saw them. He pointed out things that were done during the initial installation which were questionable, and we sort of knew this because of word around our development. We opted for a new heater after much consideration. They came the next morning, thankfully, and I now have hot water and an efficient system which was installed correctly! Stephen even threw a couple extra things in like putting a shut off valve for the water tank. Now we don't have to shut the whole house off if a future repair is needed. He also pointed out an issue from the original install that will eventually have to be replaced, but not immediately and for us to keep an eye on it. Collin, another technician, was great also. These guys were courteous, respectful of our home, and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for a job well done. My husband and I highly recommend Guaranteed Service. read more

I have a service contract with Guaranteed Service. My AC's compressor stopped working in the mid-July heat wave. I called them on Wednesday to get it fixed. They could not come Wednesday but promised to come between 8am and 10am on Thursday. Did not show, no phone call. I called them and they said my window changed to 3 to 5 pm that day (but they did not reach out to me to inform me). At 4:30 still no service tech showed up. I called again. Sorry no one called you? The tech will not be able to make it today. Scheduled for the 8 to 10 am slot on Friday. Amazingly this time a tech did show. Josh was great. But the office told him that they were not going to honor my manufacturer's warranty. What a scam! I called the office and pushed back on this fraudulent activity. Then and only then did they agree that the AC was warranted for another 5 years. "Guaranteed service"- what a misnomer! And shady business practices. Stay away. read more

Todd DeGaray told me there was carbon monoxide coming from my unit. The unit is only 4 years told. He told me I would die in my sleep if I kept the unit running. I had the fire department come and check it. There was no carbon monoxide. Todd told me I needed a new unit. He was delighted because he would get a commission. I live in a development. Unfortunately Todd told another resident the same thing. She is elderly. He took advantage of her. She unfortunately fell for it. He is a despicable person and should be fired. I have written a compliant to our HOA about Todd to get the word out not to use his service. Lastly another Guaranteed Service rep came named Curtis. He came to check Todd's work after I complained to Todd's supervisor Joe. Curtis checked the unit and said it was fine. Said he didn't understand why Todd would recommend a new unit as it was only 4 years and there was no indication of carbon. read more

I highly recommend this company! We had an emergency situation with a completely clogged sewer line. They made a stressful situation a little easier. They we're always quick to return calls, got the permit needed right away and completed the Job as quickly as possible. I WOULD NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I called and wanted three light fixtures replaced and I already bought the lights and wanted someone to give me a price to just install them. Plain and simple which would take less than an hour. First they said it would cost me $52.00 just to send a guy out to give me a estimate which took a whole five minutes and they were only a town away from me not a whole state. When the guy came he gave me a price of over $700.00. that was to ONLY replace existing light fixtures not rewire my whole house. Me and my husband almost had a heart attack. So we told him that was insane. So he said he could give us a coupon and bring it down to over $500.00 which is also insane. Its is an simple job and that price was ridiculous. So NO I feel he saw two older people and thought he would think we were stupid and rip us off not knowing my brother and uncle in Florida are electrician and we knew better. We got several other estimates and none of them charged a fee to come out and give us an estimate and some of them came from a lot farther and ALL of them had around the same estimate of $200.00 which is what I expected to do a job that takes 45 minutes and they didn't even have to but the fixtures. It would have cost me less money to fly my brother up from Florida and have him do the job. So we found a GREAT LICENSED electrician and we were SO happy with them they will be the one for us from now on. read more

Called MidState when my boiler broke. Got threw to Guaranteed Service instead since they bought up MidState. They had a very professional tech (James) out that same day and worked around my schedule. He showed me exactly what was failing and explained everything in detail as to why it needed to be replaced. That same night they had a supervisor (Al) come out to discuss options and give us some ideas on cost. We asked for a night to think about it. Al spent his time explaining options, talking to my father-in-law on the phone to explain the details, petting our cat, and generally treating us like people. He took his time with us which was really appreciated. Highly professional. Called them back the next day and scheduled an appointment that same day to sign the papers and revise the plan at 6pm. Since the job required a chimney liner install Al brought out Adam to give his opinion on the plan. Adam was extremely knowledgeable and said the job was well planned and ready to go. They came out the next morning at 8am to install the new boiler, thermostat, and chimney liner. Originally the liner was expected weeks later but somehow they got in there the next day. The installation crew lead by Nick was awesome and polite and professional. The job was tricky but they got it done, communicated well to me and made sure everything was working before they left.
