We've been customers of Arctic Air Conditioning since 2017 and have always enjoyed excellent service. We have our HVAC systems serviced every 6 months, and various services during the past 9years. Yesterday's technician, Victoria R, was extremely thorough and gave a detailed explanation of the items noted on the Home Health Report. She was respectful of my home (wore booties & cleaned up debris), friendly & courteous. New AC unit out in 2024 Dec. Could not turn on unit when we went to use it 1st time in summer once we finally got an apt for them to come the unit barely called the house. Plumbing department came to my home for clogged sink,.. after two hours stated option 1 Pressure wash the pipe for $1700 or option 2 run a new line $2500. I passed on both and called my go to plumber whom was orignally unable to come today. He came and 15 minutes of snaking the line, water flows perfectly. No New pipe no pressure wash and explained the maintenace to avoid such issues at later date.. all this for 10 minutes and $150 vs $1700 to $2500 shame on you Artic Air and HVAC Marc R read more

Arctic air is overpriced. I was fine with the $140 plus tax for the diagnostic service charge. The issue was the capacitor was bad. They wanted to charge $330 plus tax for the capacitor. They said they would roll in the $140 service charge. $330 for a $20 capacitor is over priced. I could see paying the $140 plus part. Anymore is highway robbery. Do not use this company. WORST EXPERIENCE Byron from the plumbing team visited our home last Friday and spent more than 2 hours collecting all the details with regards to our water Filteration system, the issues with the sulphur smell and also suggested the list of options to prevent the smells from the hot water heater as well as cold water. I also spoke to Sal , the plumbing manager and then sent my well water reports. Paul Eremus was also emailed. It's been more than 5 days that I am awaiting the Quotes....spoke to a Omar, Lisa and one more customer service agent since last Saturday and was informed that someone will return my call back ...still awaiting that ...NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. So I purchased a 2 zone split unit 2 yrs ago and everything is working great!!! Cost me over 9 grand. Now I am redoing my basement and need one unit removed temporarily and put back after remodeling was done. Tech came yesterday and quoted me 1800 dollars!!!. This price is ridiculous for existing customers who spent so much money on there service in the past. Good job loosing a customer. Quick update: Job was completed by a licensed HVAC tech who was available next day and completed the work within 2 hours for 500 dollars but gave 700. I DO NOT recommend this company at all. 5 years ago we bought 2 new HVAC systems from them spending over $26K. During this recent heat wave one of our AC units went out and we called them to fix it. The technician Mr Eddie Ayala was fabulous and thorough. They sent us an estimate that I believe is overpriced. Considering we spent so much on completely new systems we thought they would like to keep our business. The company is NOT a good company. They have policies in place that they will not negotiate with customers. Although our units are under warranty they were charging quite a bit for the labor. We called and spoke to customer service a couple of times and the service manager said they are following company policies and can not lower the price. I dropped over $26k cash their way(granted it was 5 years ago), and they wouldn't consider even dropping the price by $100. This company is not willing to keep customers happy unless you are part of their maintenance program. We bought a new system from them, I should not be paying for a maintenance program to maintain a new system, make it make sense ARCTIC. I got TEMPRO Heating and Cooling to do a great job for me at a great price. Smaller companies care about their customers. Call AK at 551-451-1999 to see if he services your area, he is honest and hardworking , I am happy with his work. Company is awful. Schedules are set months out for maintenance work, and any thing that requires immediate attention is fraught with company cancelations due to vehicle breakdowns or parts not in their trucks for the work. Stay away. read more

Update to my previous Review. Finally received a credit for the amount of the over charge. I am updating my review as the work was good and unit is working well in this cold weather we are having. IF not for the mess up and more so the delay in issuing a credit we would have given them a 5 star. This company came out to my home because I had condensation all over my furnace. I knew I needed help. They had good reviews so I figured I would call them. Upfront I told them I needed them to be honest. I have a 2 month old and 2 year old at home and don't have the money to mess around. It was 90 degrees the past few days and needed ac asap! A tech came out and told me the coils were bad but might as well replace the entire unit because they don't make the coils anymore. Long story short an estimator came out after the tech and told me I needed a new unit for $7500!!! I spent $375 with this company for no reason. They did absolutely nothing but stole $375 from me and almost $7500. Extremely dishonest and do not do the simple steps. I decided to start YouTubing things. It said number one thing to cause this condensation issue is clogged pipe. I called another company and that was the first thing they did. They unclogged that pipe and it cost me $150. I will never use this dishonest company ever again and highly recommend you go elsewhere too. Horrible what they tried to do to me. My unit is completely fine. There are plenty of honest people still out there. Arctic wants that extra dollar. They are not them! Do better Arctic. Maybe do the basics before telling people they need to spend thousands of dollars when they are trying to put food on the table for their family. read more

Artic Air has no idea of what quality customer service is. Artic Air does not provide timely replies. Artic Air internally has near zero communication. Artic Air does not back up their 'we found this to be an issue' with clear photographs or evidence. And Artic Air's field technicians and customer service teams have proven themselves to have little or no integrity. And despite previously having what should have been phone conversations that yielded results, either the lack of follow-up and owning issues from upper management, or not being kept in the loop by customer service (but this also goes back on management for not owning known issues), the company has proven to be quite distant from having a shred of integrity. The owner sent a response to my review and told me to call the customer experience manager. He gave the number. I did- only to be blown off and told she was busy and would get back to me in a few minutes. I never heard back from her. Again, I am questioning what work was being done per the service agreement. Why were we told the furnace was in great shape only to have it break 2 days later? Why were we charged an add'l 140.00 that was not in the estimate for the motor ? We've used Arctic Air Conditioning for several years including an excellent installation many years ago of our two gas furnaces. However, early this past winter we had the furnaces checked since they hadn't been for about 3 years. The service tech only checked the current in several furnace components and, after saying the flame looked good, never attempted to clean the sensors or igniters. I thought little of that then, but now in hindsight, I believe that should have been done. So, I'll look else where next time we need service. read more

We were experiencing an issue with our A/C unit. The fan was continuously running even when the system was turned off. I spoke to Lisa on 7/23 to schedule a service call. Lisa was exceptionally helpful and, as a Comfort Club member, was able to schedule a same day appointment. Our technician was Jake Norton, who provided excellent service in the past for an issue we were having with our heating system. For today's service call, Jake first inspected the thermostat, which was operating as it should, and ruled that out as a root cause of the problem. Jake suspected that the issue might lie with a stuck relay in the air handler. Jake was indeed correct and, fortunately, had another relay in his truck. The relay required some retrofitting, and Jake carefully did the needful and replaced the faulty part. I am happy to say that our A/C unit is working properly. A very special thanks and kudos to Jake Norton for his ability to swiftly diagnose the issue and provide resolution. Jake is an excellent technician and extremely customer service-oriented. He is very thorough, and you can tell that he takes pride in his work. Again, thanks to Jake and Arctic Air. Highly recommend both! read more

I do not recommend this company. I contacted Arctic Air Conditioning and Plumbing for a simple leak in my toilet and kitchen sink. They quoted a $140 +Tax diagnostic fee, which I agreed to assuming it would be applied toward the repair as many other companies do. However, when the technician arrived, he inspected both issues (which were minor and didn't require any major parts) and then quoted over $1,000 to fix them. This was shocking and completely unreasonable. No repairs were done, but I was still charged the full $140 just for the visit. Their pricing was way out of line compared to other plumbers in the area. The lack of transparency and the inflated quote felt like a bait-and-switch. Be careful before booking. I suggest finding a more honest and reasonably priced plumber. read more

Do not use them. They installed AC/Heat. Ongoing problems. Now the condenser is flooding water outside. Then have another problem when the lights flash when you turn the unit on. They try to gas light you by saying this is common. read more

I was told I'd be called to reschedule and when I spoke to the office I was told the next open appointment was August! I asked if they could do something for me since they made the error and was told sorry no. I guess they don't reserve any time for unexpected issues, not good business practice. AVOID THIS COMPANY. .... .Within 5 years two major service issues needed on a brand new system(outdoor unit replaced and now air handler coil) . The sales team swore this evaporator coil issue was not a problem anymore and we should expect 10-15 years issue free, however we have had nothing but the complete opposite. They don't stand behind their products or Installations, the product they sell (Lennox elite) is junk. Now they want to charge us 1/4 of the installation price to fix a system that has had problems every year since it was installed. Save yourself and find another brand, heck our old cheap Goodman system lasted 11 years with no issues. Do your research on Lennox and coils before buying this garbage and be warned about their service and support. Week 1 Install of a new system. Outdoor unit died and needed to be replaced. Drip tray not connected damaged ceiling ( I had to fix). Installed the return duct across the attic access. Year 2: Not keeping up. told it was fine but adjusted air speed. Found out it was because they never connected the ducts properly or insulated the Air handler. Found they also left an open electrical outlet in the attic that sparked. Year 3: Not cooling, bad capacitor in the outdoor unit. Year 4: End of the season not keeping up. Evaporator leaking (known issue from Lennox). So a system that's not even 5 years old, "top of the line" is not cooling AGAIN the air handler coil needs to be replaced and they want us to pay $1,600 read more

My Hvac system died 10 days ago. It was 27 yrs old... I set an appointment through Home Depot as I was buying window units. Colin the project manager was prompt and understanding with the special needs that I had concerning the project. Upon selecting them as the company I was going to use he was thorough and helpful. Had an appointment set for the next day for the installation. The Team of Tim, Tony, Base and Luigi were prompt, punctual, polite, respectful and informative. They performed the installation in under 6 hours and cleaned up everything before they left. They also made sure the unit was functioning properly and that I had no concerns or questions before they left. I would highly recommend them. read more

First off let's get one thing straight, they are not open 24/7! They may have a rep. answering the phone and offering to "leave a message for the next business day" but not 24/7. This company assured me that I needed a new hvac system two years ago because the one that I had was oversized for my house and it was pulling the moisture out. Mind you two years later, same issue, no one can figure it out, now my thermostat is jumping to 90 degrees in the middle of the night and then turning off the heat in the dead of winter, I am told someone will get back to me tomorrow, after 4 techs been at my house this week!!? I have been going to multiple doctors every winter trying to figure out what is wrong with my health and long behold.. years of extreme dry air had taken a toll on me?! So maybe they should pay my medical bills at the very least because I am suffering and they do not know why my humidifier doesn't work with any heating system? So15k for machine, now no heat in negative degree weather and zero humidity? My house smells like a cabin no matter what we do and it's probably safer to risk my family freezing to death then letting it over heat while we are asleep!! I have had enough! read more

Do not use this company. There is no customer service. Our need for a repair service appointment for a less than a year old HVAC system from Arctic Air just before the recent heat wave required multiple calls and the tech that came did not have the required fuse and told us to pick one up to replace the incorrect one he had put in. Then our follow up calls requesting guidance were never returned even after we had called multiple times. When we purchased the system less than a year ago, one of the major reasons we selected this company was its promise of a quick response to any issue that might arise. It is shocking and unexceptable that Arctic did not provide ANY customer service when we needed it. read more

DO NOT USE ARTIC AIR!! In 2020 Artic Air installed 2 mini splits. In 2021, one of the units was already malfunctioning and required service. Part of the installation was not done correctly, and water was backing up into the unit. I have the invoice where the tech stated same. Labour was still under warranty, and we were not charged. During the recent heat wave, Monday, the 23rd, the main unit would not turn on. Artic Air sent a tech, Tony, to fix it. It was 99 degrees that day. Tony tried several things to get it to work and was not successful. He said it was most likely a blown circuit board inside the unit. It was late in the day, and he said he was too old to be climbing on a ladder to take it apart and would call his dispatcher and have them send another tech the next day if possible. When it was 6pm and no one had reached out to me, I called and was told they had reached out, but for the second time, had used an old number no longer in service, despite specifically being advised of same and given the correct one TWICE. By that time, there was no availability until Friday, the 27th. Given the amount of service calls during this heat wave, I could understand and didn't complain. On Friday, they sent Eric. To both of our surprise, the unit turned right on. I had tried turning it on Thursday night and it did not. He opened the unit, and decided it was moisture and pet hair causing the switch to trip and not letting the unit come on....but it just had come on, moisture and pet hair notwithstanding. During his time, he was on his cel to another tech, walking him thru a repair that he did not know how to do. He spent very little time working on our unit. He claimed the unit was ok, despite a history of it not being able to maintain a set temperature and not always turning on. When I asked him for the bill, he claimed it was showing no charge as. He asked if I paid Tony on the Monday visit and I told him I did not. He then thanked me for my honesty, as the office had made a mistake, and I paid him $149.28 for the visit. One of our remotes was not working and he said it was not fixable. He advised getting one from Amazon. I asked him if it was not covered under the 12 year warranty for parts as the unit does not work without it. He said he would replace it and have it sent to us. I got a text from him later that evening saying they would not cover the remote. He would have them send an invoice for a replacement if I wanted one from them. The invoice was for $259.84. The same remote is $59 direct from Mitsubishi and runs about $20 on Amazon. I had shut the unit off right after Eric left as it was 70 and no need for air. When I went to turn it on Saturday morning...IT WOULD NOT COME ON AND HAD A FLASHING RED LIGHT!!! Needless to say, I am LIVID! It was bad enough that the company would not honour the warranty for the remote, as the contract says NOTHING about it not being covered. I can't imagine it not being as THE UNIT DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT IT. It is mounted on the wall at almost the ceiling and there seems to not be manual controls...plus a disabled 73-year-old with a serious health issue should not have to deal with climbing a ladder to turn it on if it was possible. The price for their replacement seems to show that they fleece seniors who they think won't realize they are being cheated! I have requested a call from a manager on Monday to further address this issue. Needless to say, we will no longer be doing ANY business with Artic Air. If you can't depend on a company to honour its promise, warranty and obligation over a small part, I shudder to think of what lengths they will go to not to have to replace a bigger part. If this is how they resolve a smaller issue, you can't trust them to be honest on a larger one. Since the "repair" they did didn't fix the problem, I can only imagine there is something much more defective with the unit and we are just being given BS excuses. Horrible customer service. There are so many other companies out there that do not do this and take pride in their customer service. I can't image this one continuing to be successful with this business practice. So far I've spent $233.51 for my yearly ac PM to be told that I have a slow leak then$515.39 for a tech to find out where the leak is. Now an estimate of $1908.43 ro repair the leak. A total of$2657.33 to have a slow leak repaired. I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor (which you refused to give) because I've have a warrenty for parts from Home Depot and Lennox. My water heater was on borrowed time; it was 23 years old so I needed a replacement water heater soon. Based upon my son's recommendation, I chose Artic Air. Super unprofessional woman answering the phone. I called about an electrical issue and the person who picks up goes, "avocado?" When the confusion subsided and I explained my issue, I was told that I would be transferred to the electrical "department." I was on the same line in silence for several minutes, did not seem like I was being transferred to any other line. I finally said, "hello?" and the woman immediately comes back on and says no one from the department is available but she will try to find someone else and again says she needs to put me on hold. Again, complete silence. I managed to get the woman back on the line and asked if she could just take down my info since the people she was looking for weren't available and she giggled at this suggestion. That was a week ago, no one called me back. I don't think she ever took down my info. Guess they don't want to get business. read more

There's better companies than this I came in and only did half the job it's not complete only half the house works. I have to use window air conditioner stringers in the other rooms in the house that don't work call the company numerous times it came out they didn't really know what was wrong with it. They told me they were going to talk to someone else about it and they would get back to me also to fix the hole in the ceiling. I had a terrible experience recently with this company. When I called for repairing my furnace with a "short cycling" problem, Lisa (the lady who answered the phone) told me that in the end I need either pay the actual cost of repair (if they fix the problem) or a $140 trip charge if I decided not to repair. They dispatched two persons to my house, spent quite a bit of time to check different things, but could not find the exact cause of the problem. Then they stopped working and asked me to pay $195, and explained to me that the $140 trip charge only covers the first 30 minutes of their time (Lisa did not tell me that). So for $195, I basically got nothing: they did not find the exact cause of the problem (they did make some "recommendations"), they did not fix the problem, and they even did not give me any written diagnosis. At the time of their leave, my room temperature was 66 degrees. read more
