We selected the new countertops from samples in their showroom, then shopped on our own for the tile backsplash, all new appliances and fixtures. Westside was very flexible in allowing us to be hands-on with the process and our selections. For Clients who prefer more creative guidance, Westside offers in-house design services. Jonathan and the entire Westside team were exceptional in their care and concern for the Client. Further, their various tradespeople were friendly and competent without exception. Importantly, they also finished within budget and estimated timeline. Although we have held off painting the kitchen walls and restoring the floor tile pending completion of other work planned for our home, we have already settled into our "mostly new" kitchen. Through the project, they recommend things, never push things. A rarely in this field. We have used New Leaf Remodeling a total of three times. Once for a master bathroom remodel that came out incredible. Second for a quick (and easy!) kitchen counter remodel. The third time is when we had a water leak that flooded one room. We called New Leaf and he was there the very next day. (Same day was not needed because of the restoration demolition). He let us know he has his team on standby for when we got the all clear that all the water was dry in the frame. And guess what, the day after we got the all clear from restoration people, New Leaf was there to go over the room rebuild and to get started. And after I disagreed, they sent a huge bill after lying about it and saying they wouldn't charge much for tarps and plywood, which didn't work and I didn't even need them since it was July and I don't need to board up a burned out garage with nothing to value in it. And then send you a $14k bill. It cost me over $8K to fix their mess ups. Then they sent me to collections for not paying their bill before I've even received any insurance money.

He spent a couple hours with explaining what we were about to go through. We had several contractors contact us but decided to Barry's company based on their expertise in restoring fire damaged properties. They could show us a long list of past customers who said H&H Builders did a great job. They worked closely with us, our insurance company & the public adjusters we contracted with. We had several meetings with our insurance company & our public adjuster & H&H was always there to make sure we received everything needed to complete our project the way we wanted it. Communication was constant & detailed. Once work started the sub contractors H&H works with were all professional & did excellent work. H&H's own personnel were great also. When something needed to be addressed quickly they were there. Mark, the construction supervisor, knows how things should be done & made sure everything was completed to his, & our satisfaction. My wife & I are more than pleased with the finished product. Our friends think our "new" house is fantastic. We highly recommend H&H Builders.

Where to start with this?... The quality of the work was overall poor. Many corners cut and weren't…read morefixed even when pointed out. Eli, his superintendent was negative a majority of the time, trash talking the owner Ram. Ram had agreed to a design and Eli said it couldn't be done. Eli talked down to me quite often despite me having a construction background. I spotted alot of things not being done right and he assured they'd come out fine and they didn't. And they were at the point that fixing them would've been a big undertaking. One big one was they didn't reinforce the kitchen floor properly, so the tile popped loose, and when their guy came to fixed they were laid improperly. And they continued to pop when walked on. Another result in that floor not being reinforced is there's a hairline crack in the kitchen countertop now. Eli when asked before laying the concrete on the 50's framed floor, said the wood was fine and didn't need any reinforcement. They smooth coated my walls and went through two different subs/crews and the walls are smooth but not flat at all, they're original plaster and were better off before. First crew just sprayed compound all over the walls unevenly and didn't float it. Eli said they'd sand it even, didn't happen. They framed and closed a wall where a slider was. Needed two sheets of drywall, they put one and I pointed it out, Eli said they'd float it. Told him that's not doable and to just out another sheet, they didn't. Now there's a huge gap with caulking between the banquet seat and the wall. Elsa's they framed new and floated aren't flat. The painters line work where walls meet was no good and thin in areas on walls. The crew who did the kitchen backsplash was good, the original tile guy was good. The hardwood flooring guys were very good. The guys who did the slabs for kitchen and fireplace ok, but didn't install the fireplace slabs properly and had to replace the hearth slab, and shorted mortar both times. The electrician was ok, but they didn't install atc fault breakers that delayed final. And they tried to not install smoke alarms, Eli tried arguing they weren't needed and they had been code for a long time. Then tried to tell me they weren't included in the quote to rewire the house. And every small thing was a ridiculous upcharge cause they felt they weren't getting enough money off the job. And Eli repeatedly insulted the size of the job and said they'd float wouldn't have taken it if not a referral. Many bad points with these guys. Workers left food trash on property constantly. They demoed doors from the house and left it open to animals. Same with under the house access. My job was. It close to them, and it was a referral, it if you can't do a proper and good job then don't take it. Say no to the job instead of putting someone through all this. I wouldn't recommend them again.

His price for installing a sink and dishwasher was $800 for a task that should take less than an hour. These prices were not in the contract - the plumbers shared them with us. When we specified a specific wall tile from a reputable seller, Ram bought "similar" tiles from Floor & Decor". The New Look Remodeling tile installers refused to install the cheap tiles and called us because the cheap tiles were warped! The paints his team used started peeling immediately. We have clear images but were not able to post them. We do not intend to ever employ his services in the future!!
