Do not work for this company or give work to this company. They Mickey Mouse projects (I've seen for myself) and they rob their employees of wages. I used to work here and I seen and experienced for myself how things are done half assed. If you need to have epoxy done, make sure you check all of the all threads because I can guarantee you most of them are cut short because they ran into rebar. If you had anything done by them, double check that it was done right. If they treat their employees like trash by not paying them, imagine how they treat their work. read more

We found Nate's attitude to be professional and the work to be absolutely wonderful. He came out and took our chairs, bar stools and patio recliners. They came back beautiful. He also recommended we not powder coat a Mallin patio set as he thought it would not adhere well. We admire his honesty and he did not charge for pick up or delivery. The reason I'm giving the business one star is to reflect Nathan's attitude after my response to his quote did not yield the desired by him outcome.. From the first time I contacted Swink's, Nathan was timely in his responses to my inquiries and eager to get the project. Throughout the process, I communicated with him and his finance colleague, Lauren, both of whom provided the requested details. They shared the project quote within a couple of days. In response to my questions and clarifications of the scope of work, Nathan exhibited unseemly attitude and the lack of professional decorum. He sent me a condescending reply in an awkward attempt to express his dissatisfaction. While you may want to give your business to Nathan (as the quality of their work might be a notch higher than his behavior, and I'm sure there are people under his management who rely on this work for their livelihood), I, personally, always look for integrity, professional courtesy and respectful attitude in vendors I hire - Nathan projected none. read more

Nate exceeded most of them in honesty, integrity, reliability, experience within his field & just a great guy, all at the age of 21 yrs. But don't let his age scare you. I have used Nate in the past and last year he came out to repair my wrought iron fencing. It was painful to get him to come out after his initial visit. He does decent work, but he is not reliable. Nate was really fantastic. We needed the the gate to our driveway repaired after a mishap and and we called Swinks. Nate came out right away and and gave us what we thought was a fair and honest quote. Three days later the guys came out and did the work in just over three hours. Hired for repair work. Outlined anticipated procedure and owner agreed. Worker does different on their own. It "looks" ok. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, damaged other property. Took months and much prodding to get them to fix the damage. Moral of the story: don't pay until 100% done. Their promises to finish aren't worth much. read more

When I first set my eyes on Nate of Nate Swinks Welding, he looked like he was 18 years old (he's probably in his 20's) but his work ethic along with his inherent nature to over-build without emptying one's pocket is rare! My first order was a custom steel aquarium stand for a 300 gallon tank weighing a little over 2500 pounds (1.25 tons). Normally, a stand would require less work and steel but I wanted to be able to slide a 6 foot sump filter in or out without having to empty the aquarium above and to easily access the sump without banging my head. This meant the front of the stand would not have the usual steel supports in front. Nate didn't flinch when I told him what I wanted and he incorporated extra steel to make up for the support. The icing on the cake was the beautiful powder coating. As I was looking at the stand, Nate started pointing out areas of the powder coating that he felt was not perfect. I, myself was extremely happy with the finish. Needless to say, he's picky when it comes to his work. My second order was a rolling trellis. I showed him a picture on the internet of a narrow wooden box with wheels and rebar to allow vines to grow. I would have been happy if he simply substituted steel for the wooden box. Instead, he went about making something much more robust with nice looking steel rods replacing the rebar. The dirt box alone took 12 bags of potting soil - almost 13 cu. feet! I must confess... when I find someone like Nate, I always worry that they'll get so busy that they'll be out of reach - money or time wise. So I guess my best bet is to let others know about him and perhaps he'll remember my review and will take pity on me when I request another custom build. ck read more

We called 4-5 welding companies and decided to go with Swinks because they had great reviews and they promptly returned our calls. We wanted an intricate custom designed fence and 2 gates and Swinks rose to the occasion. Tyler and Nate were both honest and reliable and their attention to detail is exquisite. We absolutely love the finished product! If we ever have any other work we won't hesitate to call them again. Nate was very knowledgeable and professional. He came came out at the appointed time and even picked up our outdoor chairs, chaise lounges and diving board base. His work was absolutely amazing and he referred Jose to do the powder coating. He brought everything back and set the outdoor furniture up for us. These guys are great. Nate has completed multiple projects for me and has always done a great job. The quality of work is outstanding and he is true to his word on completion times and prices. This last job he did was complicated and the potential for me loosing thousands of dollars on a custom trailer that another welder botched was huge. Nate made the alterations and it came out awesome. I love these guys. I had two iron doors that wouldn't close - that we have been lagging on fixing for years, thinking it would be too complicated or expensive. I got an immediate response when I called, and after I texted photos, Nate was totally confident it could be fixed within a day. Sergio came out, and he's awesome, super trustworthy, efficient, and good at his craft. My doors are both functioning now, which is amazing because they were totally warped and falling over before. The review sounds a little too glow-y, but I promise, I didn't know Nate or Sergio from before, this is a purely customer review. The Swink brothers are awesome!!! They are courteous, fair and excellent at their craft. These are qualities you would expect in a service professional, however you can add amazingly honest to this list as well. I found this out when I was paying them for a job they did on my property, which, by the way, was done to perfection. I left the remaining balance in cash in an envelope for them, because I was not going to be home when they were finishing. I accidentally left them too much money. They called me and told me about the mistake and left the extra money in the envelope on my porch for me when I got home. I probably never would've figured this out, and even if I had it would've been an awfully embarrassing phone call to make. They save me not only the embarrassment but they strengthened my faith not only in their excellent skills but their integrity. I highly recommend them for any iron work.
