He immediately started telling me that he won't try and sell me a new unit, but will try to sell me something (monthly plan) later. As he opened my a/c he began rambling about the components of the fan and other weird things that wasn't getting us closer to a diagnosis. Then his phone died. I brought out a charger. He then tells me he doesn't do a/c repairs but does installation. After a half hour of this, I kept asking what he was going to do. He kept telling me I had to tell him what to do. I responded that I am not the tech. Once the phone was charged he called his supervisor. They were on the phone for a while. The tech then has me listen in on the call but without speakerphone but brought the phone ear to ear. The person on the other end of the phone was saying that when it's hot outside the a/c won't cool accurately? That's nonsense. The tech then sits on the floor of the garage to scroll through things he might do and what it would cost. This took another half hour with us out in 90degree heat. He then calls someone else to complain that he wasn't trained on billing and using whatever app he was using. At this point I was getting frustrated. He shows me a cost to pull everything out of the unit To clean at a cost of around $400. I asked if that would fix it and he again said I had to tell him what to do. At this point I lost faith that this guy could fix anything and asked for the bill and call it quits. He then disappeared. I think he wandered off behind the house somewhere. I couldn't find him. I took all his stuff out of the garage to try and get him out as fast as possible. He kept rambling under his breath. I couldn't tell if he was talking to me or himself. It turned out he was talking to me. This person was so weird I just wanted him to go. I wasn't going to complain until he said something aggressive to me as I was paying. I waited for him to leave as he sat in the truck for 15 more minutes. I called the company and explained what had happened. My wife got a call asking how the service was. She asked the person to call me. We never heard back. I paid $70 for the weirdest two hour encounter I have ever had. He arrived at 10 and didn't leave until 12pm. Two hours wasted and my a/c is still not functioning as it should.

When it gave up in July, we called their 24-hour number in the middle of the night, and somebody was there to work on it by late afternoon the next day. That squeaked a few more months of life out of it, but it died for good in October. Love's came again and replaced our AC and while we were at it, the water heater.
