She said Keller is not a retail store and I couldn't just walk out with what I wanted. I told her I understand that the products are special order and would take weeks to receive. She still insisted that I needed to know all the exact dimensions and all sizes of every faucet and nozzle before she would help me. I promptly told her that I am not a contractor but an owner renovating a 6k sq ft house in Nome and I know I don't need the dimentions to pick up my color scheme. She just refused to help a poor Native Woman. I told her I was not stupid and she should learn to treat people with respect. Paying a contractor, an engineer, etc to put in a septic could cost 15-25,000 in anchorage. F()k that! I was off the grid. But wanted a legit septic. Core and main sells schedule 40 plumbing pipe. French drainpipe. Manhole covers... I picked up 10' pipe 90-45 degree fittings Splices , valves, t's, caps and glue. Geo textile fabric to keep dirt from my " French drain" to keep my property dry The best part. I wanted a 20' section of hdpe for a well. Holy Moses. This stuff is like gold in Alaska. It's a thousand dollars plus...and is sold like hot cakes. Road construction sucks it up. I wanted 36 or 48" Hard to acquire sizes. Ferguson..... special order. Another place..... special order. I'm not totally sure who the main customers are here . Subdivision creators? The state? Cities? They were so accommodating to this small ( not to me) customer. Helped me load, smiled , asked questions. Answered questions. I was incredibly surprised this low overhead, outdoor lot , construction focused , PROFESSIONAL, outfit. Held me by the hand and Sold me what I needed...,NOT what I asked for ! My review scratches the surface. They sell From what I can tell. Anything for your business. Where the utility stops. During that conversation I was told that I would get a phone call in one week to set up an appointment. That week goes by and nothing. Mid week on the 4th week I call and once again am told that it would be probably another week before they could set up an appointment for me. This company needs to have more than one person who can make and set up appointments with customers. Having to get a hold of Randy is nearly impossible and he must never get his messages. It shouldn't matter if the customer that you were contracted to help is not directly your customer or not. You are contracted to fulfill an obligation and how you proceed and act says volumes about you and your company. If I ever entertained the notion of switching my services from my current subscriber to A+ Security then that idea is completely and utterly shattered. I fully support local businesses and what they do for our economy, but I cannot support a local business that doesn't even look out for its local consumers.
