I am not out in the Phoenixville area very often. Since we were, we wanted to try and find something unique. Guatemalan Kitchen delivered. Describing Guatemalan Kitchen as a hole in the wall does not really do it justice. You enter the building into a sizable and very clean seating area. We had to head to the back to check out menus and place our orders. You also grab your own drinks from their refrigerators. In the back there are also a mini grocery offerings. However, once ordered, we could seat ourselves and wait as they would bring out the food. Everything we ordered food wise delivered tremendous value. We got the ceviche, which came in a huge margarita type glass and was full of shrimp. It was also very tasty and we went as far as to dip our other items in to get every last drop. The Guatemalan Enchiladas were a bit tricky for me to eat, but had great flavor. Something about the beets that tied everything together! Finally, the Dobladas were a rock solid addition for a minimum price. Again, beyond the pure quality, this restaurant delivered high value. Guatemalan Kitchen is a clear recommend imo. I might even make a special trip to Phoenixville to dine again soon!

Prices are great and the food is unreal. Can't ask for more than that. I had guacamole to start and some sort of chicken entree as my main. Everything was incredible. The chicken fell off the bone, the molé adjacent sauce was incredible, and the hot sauce they provided (which appeared to be homemade) was maybe the best hot sauce I've ever had. One of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a long time.

I love this place. The food is consistently good. I love their pupusas and their grilled pork ribs are outstanding! A surprising treat is how great their fried chicken is! The sides, macaroni salad, rice, and black beans, that come with their meals are very good too. You get A LOT of food, there are always left overs. The prices are reasonable. My boyfriend and I moved from the area two years ago but whenever we are back visiting for a couple of days, we try to make sure to visit. It has never disappointed us!

This place has great food, large portions and reasonable prices! New location right on Bridge Street. Oddly enough it's Guatemalan Kitchen and a pizza joint. I came for the Guatemalan! The menu is extensive and there are so many options. ordered: -Parrallada grilled meat sampler with chicken, steak and sausage. Served with black beans and macaroni salad. -Sopa de mano de res or the cow's foot soup. Served with homemade corn tortillas and lime cilantro and onion. This delicacy was my favorite. -three ginormous chicharron papusas served with some salad. -Jamaica Hibiscus drink- a little sour and not too sweet -bag of elotitos or cornuts. Delicious snack Everything was freshly made and delicious. Love this place

An easy to miss spot: but you DON'T want to miss this. Not only is it delicious, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to some of the overpriced sports on this street. Not too busy during lunch on a Saturday, pretty quiet and homey. My friend and I were confused at first whether to be seated, but you walk to the back and order at the front first. Then, they'll bring things to your table. The menu is quite extensive and I'm incredibly impressed. I'd definitely like to come again to try more things. I found the three papusas filling, I almost did an order of tacos in addition and I'm glad I didn't, no way I would have finished.

Solid place. Well executed Guatemalan cuisine- The kind of mayan riff on Mexican. The tacos (both pork and steak) and rice and beans were all outstanding. Very small eating area with three small tables of two. Well worth your time. Great meal for 2 for 25$. We will be back!

Great pork mouthfeel and flavor. Excellent corn tortillas. Not quite perfect execution in dish ingredient balance. I ordered the Pork (Adobado) tacos ($2.50 each.) The pork was very delicious: mostly fall apart, savoury, and well-seasoned with Central American spices. I found the tacos to be dominated by the flavor and texture of the (admittedly great) double corn tortillas. I wanted to give them five stars, but the tacos were too tortilla forward and did not allow the pork to shine. This is a case of two excellently executed ingredients slightly out of proportion.

Ordered Nachos, Shrimp Taco, Veg Quesadilla , Pork Ribs. Everything tasted great , especially meat was fresh and juicy . Their Nachos was very fresh and I absolutely loved it .

The Guatemalan kitchen (at their previous location) was a go-to spot. The food was fresh, authentic and always delicious. Was really excited to support them in their new location and went in for pickup. They now share space with X-Press pizza. The place is downright is not clean. Trash on the floor behind the counter and in the kitchen. The self serve ice cream is frosted over, a dirty scooper stuck in the half melted container. We ordered the chili nachos. What we got was stale chips with a smattering of beans, some cheese , sliced chicken all topped with... chunky pizza sauce. There was no mistaking it- could taste the basil. I miss old Guatemalan Kitchen and I hope they can return to their former glory.

Actually they do have one fish dish on the menu but I would call to verify if they are serving it that day

The vibe inside was comfortable with brick walls and bright colors. Too bad the front doors were not open to create a 'come on in!' vibe. The service was pleasant and the food was good. We shared a calamari plate and my fish tacos were tasty. My friends enjoyed their pasta, soup, and salad dishes. There is a bar area (it is BYOB - bring your own wine or buy something at the next door brew pub to bring in) by the kitchen which would make a fine 'chef's table' experience but a person was taking up most of the area with all kinds of personal items. Not sure why (a family member?) was hanging out in the front of house area like that. The ambience could use a lot more charm and the curbside appeal could be so delightful with container gardens out front - a missed opportunity to stand out from all the other restaurants there. It wasn't super crowded on a Saturday night like many of the other spots.

We had been to the Seven Stars Inn in its heyday when the food and service was spectacular like 30 years ago. We had also been a few years ago when it was so-so. I followed the news last summer about the shutdown by the health department and about the reopening after things had been cleaned up. I was curious. Before we went I read the recent reviews and was alarmed, expensive with bad service and bad food was not very inviting. Just the same, I wanted to give it a try to see what it was like now. We were prepared to leave if things were not going well. We had a drink at the bar first. My cousin had an espresso martini which she said was excellent. My wine and my husband's mixed drinks were good. The bartender was friendly. We were told there was a problem with the heat upstairs so we were seated in the booths just beyond the bar. Our waitress, Michelle, was very pleasant and helpful and we ordered our food which came out promptly. Two prime rib orders and a lobster tail. The Prime Rib was enormous and cooked as requested. Tasted great and took home a huge piece. My cousin said hers was the best Lobster Tail she had ever had. It was rustic with a lot of deer mounts overhead but I can't complain, we had plenty of good food and good service. Glad we went and suggest you give it a try!
