First, let me start out by saying that Stevie was amazing. Very professional, very helpful,…read moreimpeccable service. You can absolutely tell that he has a ton of experience working in the food service industry. Our drink orders were perfect. Great martini delivered just as ordered. 5 stars. We are long-time Kyle G patrons. This was our first time at the Fish Grill. We came on a Tuesday. Upon arrival we learned about the Tuesday happy-tizer specials. We decided to try them in lieu of ordering off the regular menu. Our intention was to try as many of the happy-tizers as we could. Maybe that was our mistake. We will never know because after such a lackluster meal, we won't return. Here is what we tried: We ordered the mussels. Small, chewy, shriveled, over seasoned. Enough said. The shrimp and crab cake reminded me of my mother's salmon croquettes....not my favorite meal as a kid growing up. 2 half-dollar size patties served with a flavorful dipping sauce. They didn't taste like crab and they didn't taste like shrimp. A pan fried paste that tasted like whatever seasoning they used. The sauce couldn't save this for me. A textural turnoff. The dragon dynamite tuna was completely forgettable. The "crispy" rice was not crispy at all, the round discs could have been small, circular cut-outs of Wonder white bread. The tuna topping was more acidic than spicy. And I'm not really sure how you can mix tuna with spicy mayo and come up with a result that actually tasted as dry as the Sahara desert. The fish tacos were fresh, well cooked and well seasoned. They were served with luke-warm fries. Please note, the fish taco is not on the half price happy-tizer menu. The Tuesday appetizer menu is exactly the same as the appetizer menu every other day of the week.... We stopped after 3 disappointing items. Would it have tasted better on Wednesday when they were full price?

This is an upscale casual place (shorts, collared shirt). I had the swordfish Florentin which was excellent. There was a steak and shrimp meal order and I was told it was extremely tender meat and shrimp was perfect. I definitely recommend you try this place, you will not be disappointed.

We were meeting friends for dinner and they suggested Black Marlin as a place they have been wanting to try but have not had a chance. That sounded good to us as we got to try another new place. We arrived during Happy Hour which allowed us to enjoy reduced priced drinks and appetizers. For appetizers we ordered calamari and bam bam shrimp. The shrimp were excellent with the spice adding a nice flavor to the slightly crispy shrimp. (A national chain has shrimp like these but not as good) Calamari was good but not particularly memorable. For dinner my wife ordered the Citrus Crusted Salmon special. This dish was pan seared and served with a delicious mango remoulade. My wife said this is as good salmon as she's ever had. I agreed after trying the small piece she shared with me. I was really in the mood for grouper. It was only offered as a sandwich-not as an entree. I'm glad I stuck with that choice as it was also excellent. We had a great server who kept the drinks coming and continually checked on us. What's better than discovering a new restaurant and enjoying it with friends? Here's the real problem. We can't possibly stay long enough to revisit all our new favorites. We will definitely be back to Black Marlin.

Our server is super nice, funny, and honestly a fan favorite. She's always accommodating and attentive to everyone at the table, including my 5-year-old, which makes her feel special. We also tried the fries, the scallops, and the pistachio-crusted fish with key lime butter; all great. Overall, consistently good food and even better service. I heard the coke tastes flat but all other beverages are great and still 10/10. Ambiance is great, cool vibes.

It is a beautiful spot if you like watch the boats on the dock outside and enjoy some higher scale cuisine. They make solid espresso martinis, which I keep to enjoying during the mid day hours. We also went there with a 11:00 am reservation when they opened for brunch, so we hadn't it the peak hours for another hour to 90 minutes.

The atmosphere is really nice sitting in the marina watching the boats. I had the grouper with crab and that was very tasty while my friend had the lobster tails which he said were also delicious. We both had the escargot which was also delicious. Then the only downfall was the service which was seriously lacking. I felt like I was disturbing our waitresses day by being there, she gave the opposite of a welcoming feeling. She was more interested in her headset than paying the least bit of attention to us. I will give this 4 stars and return because of the food and location definitely not because of the service. At this point I will recommend trying this place and pray you have a better experience then we did with the service.
