We also had a whole day photo session at the SF City Hall. He took some amazing picture of us and we had fun taking the pictures. He made us feel very comfortable; he was very professional, flexible and gave us variety of poses to take. He provided our pictures and video in couple of short weeks instead of several months like most video/photo production companies do. Being a videographer for a Pakistani/Indian wedding can drive you nuts: multiple events, venues,…read moretimings, and a bulk load of relatives to deal with, but Nitish managed incredibly! Our wedding happened fast and we were able to book Nitish for all three of our events (Thurs, Fri, & Sun), only 2 weeks before the wedding day! He was very professional, understood what we wanted, and was extremely responsive and flexible. He videographed our Maayu, Mehndi, and Rukhsati/Reception and was a pleasure to work with! He got along with my hubby and with my family (my dad reminds us often that he wants to work with Nitish again when it's time for my brother and sister's wedding). ;) Nitish is super-talented and has great connections. Nitish provided a photographer for us for all three events plus an extra day for a bride/groom family photo shoot at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. He also set up a DJ for our Mehndi and Reception. The DJ ROCKED, everyone was on the dance floor, from 2-year-old's to 65, it was amazing! Today marks our 1 year anniversary and till day, every guest I speak to regarding our wedding events mentions "your videographer was so nice/good/sweet/talented!" I have to say, we were extremely lucky to find Nitish as we didn't have to stress about searching for a photographer/DJ. We trusted Nitish for his word and went with it. Nitish is fast! We had asked for a short 3-5 minute video highlighting the wedding festivities, and he had it completed in a week and a half, even after asking him to make some minor changes/additions in the video! Our full length wedding video was with us within a month in Blu-ray and HD, and our album followed shortly. How often do couples get to say that?!! I don't follow the wedding photography industry closely, but I'm pretty sure the industry standard turn around time is around 3 months, and can be even longer depending on the season and bookings. Nitish's work is great, but I'm not going to waste any more time on that since you can just check out his work for yourself to see if you like his style. The things you wont notice from their website is how hard he works to get the right shot, from the best angle, with the most interesting compositions. And when he isn't doing posed shots, we hardly even noticed him. MY ONLY NITPICKS: The photographer was not the best, not even close. She did not have experience working a South Asian wedding before, so I can say our photographs could have been much better. She continuously ran into lighting issues and didn't take many pictures of our guests or portrait shots of my immediate family which I had asked for initially. But, Nitish did apologize for her work, and continued to edit and make our wedding album himself. Despite the not-so-perfect photographs, the wedding album itself came out great. He actually got us 2 albums, as my parents had asked for an album of their own. Nitish is a photographer himself as well, but we wanted him as our videographer so he wouldn't have been able to do both. :( ((And undoubtedly, we should have at least asked to see her work before agreeing)).. I also wanted to add that he gave us all of the digital images. They were all full resolution, and they had NO WATERMARK on them, so we ended up making our own personal scrapbook as well :) Overall, Nitish is over the top on what he does and his passion shows in his work! Many of my friends didn't even know that he was our wedding photographer! One of my close childhood friends was so impressed with the quality of the work that he wanted to have a reunion just so he can rehire Rishi to take pictures of it. There were a lot of "wow"s. - Oliver and his wife/assistant ;) were accommodating of our request to shoot at a location 50 something miles away. - They were on time, friendly, and professional! We were camera shy at first but they made it very easy for us. - Oliver ended up giving us 2 engagement sessions because the weather was unexpected during the first one. We greatly appreciated that! - Oliver had some cool ideas for our wedding photos (some with participation from our guests), and we love those! Cloud streaming - 80% of our guests were online. So making sure the live streaming works was next to "saying vows" and "exchanging rings" on our priority list. - We streamed on Zoom, and it worked perfectly. Our guests, both domestic and international, were able to watch and participate with us without a hitch. - Oliver and Daniel set up 3 professional cameras and 1 iPhone camera to switch back and forth during the ceremony. Oliver recorded a *drone footage* outside our venue to play at the beginning of the livestream. Our guests were amazed at the professionalism. - We did a lot of research, contacted over 10 photographers, before we found Oliver who could do both photography and livestreaming, exactly what we needed. He was very responsive over email and Facebook and quickly set up to meet Eric over a lovely dinner in Oakland. He was very professional and brought in his printed collection of his favorite photographs, examples of his wedding albums, and iPad of all his archived engagement/wedding sessions. When I first met with them, I was blown away with their expertise, professionalism and personalities. I knew right then and there that I HAD TO HAVE THEM! So what did I do? Booked them right on the spot to ensure my day was going to be photographed by Annabella. Our first photo shoot encounter was during our engagement shoot and this is where my new appreciation for photographers went through the roof. We did it in mid March and it was raining and pouring. We were a little hesitant on doing it in that weather but Jennifer and Alisa persuaded us to just go out there and have fun with the rain. And that is EXACTLY what we did. Jennifer and I were in close contact. She made a point to make sure she understood my vision and hopes for my wedding day photos. She jotted down my "MUST TAKE" photos. I really appreciated this. It showed me she cared to meet all my expectations. It's the little things like this that make a vendor stand out. Fast forward to my wedding day! YAY! =) Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. They were there on time. They made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. All my must haves were taken. Oliver has always been extremely helpful and thorough when responding to my (many) emails with questions. After meeting with Oliver and his wife Cindy, my fiancé and I were even more sure that this is who we wanted to photograph our wedding. We just had our engagement session in June, and it could not have gone any better. I had a huge list of places that I wanted to shoot at, but was realistic in knowing we would only have time for a few. However, we ended up shooting with Oliver and Cindy for hours, and covered even more places than we had hoped for! This was a must for me, I wanted to make sure that our photographer was laid back and professional, which he was. Once we did get into the contract, he made adjustments to suit our needs. He was always willing to work with us and we really appreciated that. I can be very critical, especially when it came to anything to do with the wedding. When there were a few shots from the engagement shoot that I didn't like, instead of being defensive, Oliver took the criticism constructively and ultimately came through for us. And when things went wrong - I mean really wrong... I almost broke my ankle two days before the wedding - Oliver worked around it and assured me everything would be okay. He captured some great moments, not only of us, but of our guests which was very important to me too. His wife Cindy, was also present at the engagement and wedding. At the engagement shoot, she helped position us and calm our nerves. At the wedding it was nice to have two photographers especially when we were getting ready and everyone was really all over the place. We have had so many compliments on our photos and I'll be really proud to show these to our kids some day. That really means the world to me. So thank you Oliver, you and Cindy were awesome!
