I am still struggling with the fact that my husband bought a very lightly used car from here and…read morebefore a full year was even passed starting experiencing a transmission issue. If we parked in a parking spot that caused the vehicle to set even slightly angled in any direction other than perfectly flat by the time we got back in to go to the next destination, as soon as the vehicle was started there would be a transmission warning light come on... I'm pretty good with vehicle maintenance due to being raised up with 3 brothers, if the warning light would've been the only thing that happened I would've figured it was either a fuse or something like that but we would also expect the transmission not even close close to shifting out of second gear until letting it coast for a few minutes and then everything was ok again. The reason behind the entire 3 review is because I am a person who prefers the truth over a story, and after scheduling an appointment with them to check out the vehicle, and then driving from Huntsville to Columbia my husband was told by the mechanic that he most likely wouldn't find anything wrong with it because of the fact that it only happened periodically. First off I'm not a mechanic and I know that common sense tells me if a customer told me that the problem they were having repeatedly and only when the vehicle was parked in a place where it was at a angle and not on flat ground I would have told then the first thing I was going to do is find an area in the parking lot right away and take the vehicle to that spot and park it while I finished working on another vehicle and then I'd go get their vehicle and see what happened. Ending this review by saying that I find it absolutely shocking how before taking the vehicle in to get checked out, every single time the vehicle was parked on even the slightest slant the transmission issue occurred... when we were called to come back and pick up the vehicle we were told that they couldn't find anything wrong...mysteriously we've not had an issue since. Seems like a bit of a magical experience or like the mechanic wasn't truthful in the findings. Either way it's now working properly so that's what matters.

We took it in to the dealership to be repaired. It took 5 weeks after repeated calls and visits before the work was even started. It was given back to us on July 3,2026 even though it had not been repaired!! Car has now been there 46 business days as they are now saying they were sent 2 defective transmissions from Hyundai. Sorry to me that sounds unbelievable. We now have to wait until 3rd transmission has been ordered and delivered and tech decides to get around to repairs. Run don't walk away from Hyundai of Columbia!!!!

The service and the staff of Ford of Columbia are very very good. I have absolutely no complaints…read morethere. But the last time I had my car in the shop I received a text message with the service that was provided and at the bottom it had in red, "critical attention" needed to be done. Of course that concerned me, I immediately said I agree because I was getting on the road in a week.. I agreed to have the service done right then even though I really didn't understand what was the problem . I really wish that somebody could have come into the waiting room and explained what the problem was. Well, there wasn't a critical problem. Everything was based on my mileage and really didn't need to be done at that time. The car was serviced the month before. But that was $275 unexpectedly that I spent. I know it was my decision, but when it is advised in Red, I panicked. I certainly would've had the work done, but not at that time. Thank you.

I recently purchased a M550i that was amazing on the test drive, but a week later the brakes started not feeling right and making an incredible amount of noise not normal even on high-performance BMWs. They stopped all communication and went radio silent on me, meanwhile sending me their maintenance program emails to sign up for that I do not need living out of state. I texted, I called, I emailed, and no help or support. How do you treat a recent customer that way? I was out $1650 for new front rotors and pads and refused to even respond to me, all despite being super communicative during the Sales price. Just shady. Buyer beware!
