Poor service after the sale. Didnt do what they promised and had to go back to them three times and it took more than a month after the purchase. I had to do major cleanup on the car after they failed to detail it and I had to remove the overspray when they attempted to fix and paint some minor scratches. It took me several days of hard work. If not for my wife wanting her car, I would have sent it back to them again to fix it correctly. They also screwed up my registration and i had to get it done myself. Absolutely the most unprofessional individuals running this dealership. Drove out of state to purchase a vehicle and the vehicle did not ck out as they said it would. Dealership also submitted paperwork with the agreement it would not be done until vehicle was inspected in person. vehicle underside looked like it was in a flood. inside was terrible and the bed of the truck uneven as if wrecked. bed of truck damaged with a new bedliner installed over with a 5th wheel. long story short store manager sad I was nothing but a DICK on the phone. read more

Let me preface this review with the fact that I bought my 2015 Sierra at this dealership and have driven an extra 20 miles past Waltrip GMC for the last 9 years for service at parks . Up until last month they were great .I made an appointment to test drive a 2024 Acadia and when I showed up the person that I was supposed to be dealing with blew me off for someone that just walked in . So another salesman showed me the vehicle .When I was leaving the original salesperson gave me a lot of pushback when I told him I would be using the guy that did the work . The interaction left a very bad impression .I received a call from the sales mngr that went to V mail . I always use the handy online reservation tool and get helpful reminders about my schedule. Drop off is a breeze -- not complicated and it's like they are expecting you. Waiting lounge is mere steps away from garage and is comfortable and set up with a hospitality snack station. I've yet to have anyone here try and talk me into other services that I hadn't planned on which feels honest and genuine. Wait times have been as advertised. I've never dealt with a more unprofessional, condescending. and rude sales manager as Steve McCarthy. I drove an hour for a planned test drive and when I arrived I was told the truck was mispriced. When I explained that it was a similar price to same model/mileage trucks in the area, Steve called me a liar. He didn't even know what vehicle we were talking about! He then proceeded to tell me to take my business elsewhere. I run a fleet of 5 trucks, and am the sole purchasing agent for the fleet. I was ready to trade or outright purchase today. Parks is a great dealership. We purchased a Certified Pre Owned GMC Yukon from them. My father had passed away in Maryland. Brought SUV in for service before we left for a 15 hour car drive. Service found I needed a new radiator. The dealership did not have the part. Got a radiator from another dealership in town and stayed late that night installing it to have me back on the road at 7:40am the next morning. They even said if it was not ready I could borrow a loaner GMC Yukon to take the trip in. The customer service I received was like none I have ever experienced before. I researched GMC, Chevrolet, Ford, Ram and Nissan Trucks. I personally visited 8 dealerships and contacted 10 dealerships online. When I reached out to Parks, I was fortunate to connect with Wade Allen. My schedule was limited, so within 20 minutes he had looked at my trade in and gave me a very fair offer. Though they didn't have the truck I wanted in their inventory, Wade found me the exact truck I was looking for and had it on the lot within two days. We agree to the price via phone and when I went to pick up the truck, the finance office took less than 30 minutes. The Finance manager was not pushy, knowing that I was buying a new truck, so the extended warranty was not what I was interested in. They walked me through the orientation of my new Sierra and answered all my questions. I have purchased a lot of vehicles, but the Parks team was the easiest and quickest, I have ever experienced. By far Parks is the best dealer I've ever dealt with. I have had quite a bit of issues with my 2011 Terrain, no fault of Parks, just multiple recalls and other issues. I had moved out of state to Michigan for 1.5 years and tried several dealers to compare to Parks and I didn't find one that could come close to comparing. Parks always goes above and beyond. Horrible Service Department. I recently bought a used Grand Prix, I had the car less than 2 weeks when it started overheating. I took it to a good shop, who said Parks should have seen the mess in the coolant container - filled with that sealer stuff - he described it as looking like the bottom of a creek bed, and said I should see if they would make it right. So I did, they took a look at it and disagreed with everything the first mechanic said and told me they fixed the problem. 3 days later it overheated again, only this time when I took it back they waited over a week to tell me the heads were messed up the radiator needed replacing and over 1700 dollars in repairs but they would give me a deal and do it for 500 - OK so I agreed ( angry they didn't fix it right the first time) but ok. 2 weeks later I get the car back and the next day it overheats, I take it back again they keep it a week I keep calling and after telling me the wrong diagnosis over and over on different cars, they tell me they don't know and will have to call me back - they never do. I call again - and get told oh ya it is back and fixed then tried to show me the work order and repairs from the time before and try charging me for the previous repairs. I had to get the receipt and show them the date and prove I had already paid for that job. At the end of countless talking to "managers" and such - no one can tell me what they have been doing with my car this week. So much double talk. I would no longer recommend them to anyone. read more
