Thanks to Ms. Chandra, our daughter adapted within 2 weeks of starting daycare. She also did not speak English before starting daycare but now she has no trouble communicating in English with Ms. Chandra and her friends. She has learned all the alphabets, can count in English and Spanish and knows so many rhymes. She can even spell her name, which is pretty amazing for her age. She brings artwork from the daycare almost every day and we have noticed her drawing and coloring skills have improved significantly. Now she is learning to write the alphabets and numbers. We are amazed by Ms. Chandra's passion, energy and ability to care for 8 kids all by herself. Ms. Chandra also provides 3 vegetarian meals each day, which our daughter likes to eat. I was extremely nervous because my child wasn't going to be in the care of a family member any longer. When my daughter started, she knew her ABCs, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. I was actually blown away with all she learned in such a short period of time. In addition, because the class is small each child receives enough 1 on 1 time with the instructor, Ms. Millis. Ms. Millis, is a wonderful teacher. Under her care and teaching, the little ones are not only very well educated they are also taught the love of God. It's a special thing because it keeps children grounded. My daughter absolutely loves Ms. Millis and she respects her a great deal. My child is now an early entrance student and scored 99% in all categories (reading, writing, math) to be accepted to Kindergarten. I'm so proud of my daughter and I am so thankful that we found this school! Most of their problems are rooted in administration, which tries to teach students at the same time and expend minimal effort. Basic best practices were refused i.e. Assignment Books and parents were treated with hostility when requesting basic 504 / IEP supports such as Signing Assignment Books. There was next to no cooperation when attempting to coordinate with external support / medical services. They had minimal Google Classrooms proficiency so my child lost significant, uncompensated instruction time. Staff could not be reached much of the time. I could continue, but this is a pretty clear image of the school: a special education school without any special education.

Over time, the program has gotten a little more expensive, but it's still far less expensive than non-subsidized programs and even less expensive than some other subsidized ones. Tuition includes breakfast, lunch (including milk) and snack. They even do some laundry, especially for the little ones. This summer there has been a slight increase in tuition for the older kids to bring programming to school and to take them on field trips. The food is great, the facility is lovely and the outdoor space can't be beat. The vast majority of the teachers my children have had over the years have been wonderful, although, of course, I have had my difference with the way some things are handled. The director is open and easy to talk to. (I am moving my children to someplace closer to home, and I'm going to miss this place a lot)
