I've been going here a couple of times for the signature herbal hair spa and everytime was a treat. They are friendly and call to check if you can make it. The place is only for women or couples. They have 1-2 rooms and about 5 rooms divided by cutrains. The first few times I was in a room but this time I got the curtain room. I honestly liked the private room better and its less noisy too. The massage has always been great. I got Zoey this time and it was the best of all I've had. She really went in with the massage and used all the tools to get my blood flowing and throughly cleaned my scalp. She gave me a really good neck and back massage. I did end up falling asleep during the herbal steam. I would recommend again! Other notes: They have wifi and free water There is paid parking right outside

Finally tried them for the signature Head Spa last Tuesday and it was long overdue. They go by the hour so I went for the 11AM appointment. It was a little hard to find but look for the Monster studio/company and look to the left of it and you'll see their signage leading you to the basement. I'm very conscious of a place's cleanliness but despite this being at the basement, it was actually clean. Echo was the one assigned to me and she was amazing. I'm not new to Head Spa and/or massages because I love being pampered regularly and during my travels across the world but Echo has excellent massage technique especially when it came to my scalp, head, neck and shoulders. After all the steps, she did blow dry my hair. My hair was also so clean after and she showed me the end result, flawless and clean! Note it won't be as dry but you're welcome to dry it more. I also used the restroom twice and it was clean enough. Just needs to have a proper lock. Someone tried to come in while I was inside and mumbled about me not locking it so when I came out, I told her I did try but it's not working. Don't go petty on me lol. So note to the business please. It's the little details so hope they sort this out. :) Will be back to request Echo again! They work hard so tip them well. I went beyond 20% given it was so deserved!

General Experience: I visited with a friend to try out the steam scalp treatment. The staff greeted us politely and guided us to a room where we could get comfortable. One of the ladies asked me to remove my straps and lie down. Once I was settled, she brought over a menu to select a shampoo, which included around eight options. I chose the one designed for itchiness and dandruff. She started with a special shampoo, massaging it into my scalp multiple times before rinsing it out. Afterward, she moved on to massage my back, collarbone, and chest area, and also gave me an arm massage while my hair was being steamed. At the end of the session, she dried my hair in a separate room and showed me a video of my scalp's condition post-treatment. Pros: 1. The price for the scalp massage was reasonable. 2. Anna (I believe that was her name) was thorough and provided a detailed scalp and shoulder massage. 3. I felt refreshed & rejuvenated after the session. 4. They accept Zelle for payment, which was convenient since I didn't have cash. Cons: 1. I wish they had shown a "before" image of my scalp for comparison. 2. The massage felt a bit rough at times, & despite requesting gentler pressure, it still caused some discomfort on my scalp. 3. For those planning to meet friends or go on a date afterward, it's best to skip wearing makeup to this appointment, as water can occasionally splash onto your face during the treatment.

I want to get keep this place so bad. But they are already so famous on social media. Every time you finish you'll get to see your scalp clean as a whistle on their scalp camera. It's one of many things I look forward to. I've been to so many scalp locations and I would have to say nothing compares to Guifei spa. The other places might be more fancy looking with much more modern amenities, but the service and price do not compare! The amount of attention and detail to your scalp and relaxation does not compare as well. If I lived close to Flushing I would 100% go to this place every week. Unfortunately I do live in New Jersey and I'm in a hunt for a place that compares to this spa. What I like most about this place is the price. You really get a bang for your buck. It is cash only and they start on time. Women's only spa but if you come with a lady friend you men can enter as well. For some reason whenever I leave this place my scalp feels so refreshed, my vision is more clear, any tension is gone and my hair is shiny, light and airy as if I had a full blowout with a keratin treatment. I also enjoy the long list of shampoo/conditioners I can choose from and the herbal hair soup that they have as an option. Other spas do not have this. Can you guys please open other locations and expand to New Jersey so I don't have to drive up to 2 hours for hair day??? Oh fun fact, Guifei is translated to Precious Consort and it was a title given to the highest-ranking imperial concubine in ancient China. The term often refers to Yang Guifei from the Tang dynasty who was the most beloved consort of Emperor Xuanzong. She was known for her beauty and one of the "4 Beauties of Ancient China". Maybe you can leave Guifei spa feeling like a Guifei too lol.

I kept seeing headspa videos pop up on tik tok so I decided to give it a shot. I started to google and this place came up. I noticed they have an offer for weekdays on Groupon but I came across this place on a Thursday and I was trying to do this ASAP lol that being said, I got lucky with scheduling something for that Sunday morning. Perfect reset! Getting here wasn't too bad, street parking is... you know... queens. But there is a parking lot right across the street. The place is located in the basement so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was so shocked. It was a cute vibe! Since I had an appointment for the deep scalp massage treatment already I was taken right away, given a menu to select my hair treatment/ shampoo and then straight to work! When I tell you this has to be the BESTTTTTTTT scalp, neck, shoulder and even arm massage I have EVER received- believe it. I had a shampoo, condition, hair mask, tea soak, and even had a steam treatment done. I was kinda sad the hour was up lol please keep in mind, once they are done with your hair done THEY DO NOT STYLE YOUR HAIR. They will lightly dry it for you and use the camera to show your scalp is clean. But that is it. You are allowed to tip at the end as well. 10/10 experience

This is a must try at least once in the warm weather. They clean your scalp with perfection. Try this if you are comfortable to lay down for about 50 minutes while your hair is being washed with water the whole time. It is not much massaging but more of lathering your hair with treatments. I think what they could've done differently is check my scalp first to see how dirty it was. I came in and they laid me down right away. How would I know if my scalp was dirty in the first place? But overall, still great experience. My favorite was when she used the sprinkler water over my scalp. That was worth the trip! They blow dry your hair and it feels super soft from the blow dry. My hair was bouncy. I was walking on clouds after I was done. There was another scalp treatment around that area you'll see if you walk around. I only know about GuiFei because of their excellent social media ads. You might be able to get a $10 off of you follow them on instagram and see a certain posting. Street parking can be a pain sometimes. It's a busy part of queens. I got lucky because I went early , around 11am on a weekday and found spots.

No photos since this establishment requires patrons to be naked in the wet areas…read more It's one of the more competitively priced Korean spas in the NYC area at $40 for the entrance fee with no time limit. Bonus points for the free underground parking which is especially valuable in the Flushing area. You pay at the front, leave your ID, then take off your shoes before heading downstairs to the wet area. There's shoe cubbies on the first level, but I prefer to take my shoes downstairs to your assigned locker so I don't have to worry about them potentially going missing. For proper etiquette just make sure to hold off on putting them on until you get to the first level when you're leaving. The co-ed clothed area (uniforms provided at check-in) is on the second level. There's additional saunas (clay, salt, etc.), ice room, sleep room, lots of recliners and even a restaurant up there. The wet area is pretty typical for a Korean spa. Gender segregated and nude only. There's a cold plunge, hot pool and warm pool. A row of seats for relaxing. A row of standing showers and two rows of sitting showers. Body scrub area. Sauna and steam room. Im from California but visit New York Spa & Sauna every time I come, which is about twice a year. However, this time I found the experience to be slightly different. Mainly that there's now a spa attendant in the men's wet area who sits right outside of the steam room. He frequently checks the steam and sauna plus strictly enforces the eight person capacity in the steam room. I can assume the purpose is to curb potential misconduct. IYKYK. On my prior visits, especially during the winter, there's times where upwards of a dozen or more people would be packed into the steam room at a time, quite the sausage fest. So I guess it's a plus for you now if you prefer having a little more space in there. The attendant was friendly enough and seems to strike a good enough balance of doing his job and not being too intrusive. I just found it slightly less relaxing since he's constantly counting up and down as people enter and leave the steam room. "Three, two, one, full, one, full, one, two, one, full, one two, three, two, one full, one, full again, please wait" is all you'll constantly hear now in the wet area. Eventually I did tone it out and even knocked out on one of the chairs for a bit, so I still found it overall a relaxing experience, just slightly less so than before. The spa opens until 11pm but the steam closes as 8:30pm and sauna at 9:00pm. If you stay past that, you're welcome to use the other amenities until they announce the check-out time which is a bit before 11pm. Overall, I stayed for nearly five hours and still had a fun and relaxing time. The place was clean and well maintained which is a huge plus for me.

My facial was actually somewhat torturous -- the facial massage is just so rough and not at all relaxing or rejuvenating. Yes this place lets you bring children, because of this I suggest you come as early as possible. The early the better. We got there an hour after opening and we got to experience everything. It starts to get crowded after 1pm. I personally think although they allow children, even that should be an age limit. I saw children there who were too young to understand what a spa is and probably thought it was a day at the pool, I saw more swimming than I would preferred to see. It definitely can take away from your experience. Most of the food prices are reasonable but some were outrageous! If you want any personal spa services you have to book them in advance and me personally they are way too expensive! This place could make some small improvements but I appreciate what they have to offer and how they are different from most spas. Recently I had a woman (I have only had the males previously and…read morethey were all amazing!) doing my back/shoulder foot massage and her nails were digging into my feet. Not fun and wasn't the best message due to this. I think it is just common sense to have nails cut if your profession is massage. Then when I was leaving I was told my 20% tip was not good enough and I should tip 35%...are you out of your mind????? Her reasoning was "because this is flushing". I think I will be finding a new spot in the neightborhood.
