Normally, I see no reason to review a place on more than one platform, but I was just flabbergasted by the unprofessionalism of this place. They cannot handle constructive criticism and instead chooses to blame and accuse the customers for their own wrongdoings. My major complaint was their tasteless approach to making sure their customers will show up early to their appointments. After sending numerous emails and text messages to remind us to arrive 10 minutes before our appointment, we received a call about half an hour prior to our appointment, asking us what time we'd be arriving. We were so confused because we got the messages and confirmed we'd be arriving 10 minutes before our appointment time. Unfortunately, we got held up a bit and arrived 5 minutes later (but really, we were still early for our 1:00 pm appointment). Right before we stepped in, we got another call asking us where we were... "We're outside." I understand the frustration for business owners when customers arrive late or don't show-up, as it can hurt the business. However, they cannot assume every customer is tardy. I've worked in the service industry, so I'm very respectful of businesses and try my best to be punctual. Anyhow, the business owner saw it fit to respond nastily to my review on the other platform with a fabricated story. Perhaps, it was real, but whoever they were talking about was not me, as my appointment was a whole hour before that patron they confused me for. Before leaving a review , I wanted to wait until a few of my own wash and blow out to see any benefits. I have to say my hair is indeed more silky and soft. When you first arrive you and others sit in a row waiting for your appointment. They book a specific amount per hour. You are taken to your nice heated lay down type bed with a comfortable sink for your head/neck. The massage and combing of your hair with the oils is amazing. It's very easy to fall asleep or wander off into your thoughts . After an ideal amount of head rubbing, the steam process takes place . Also very relaxing and the comforting. After treatment you sit for a quick blow dry without any products ( no style just blow out) so the treatment seeps in. I been dying to come here for months. I finally made my way here with my childhood friend who was visiting from out of town. We called last minute and the owner was very accommodating and took us in. We both had the 40 min scalp treatment ($48) and it was just amazing. They wash and clean your scalp so well and its super relaxing. All of the products they use smell delicious. Okay the presentation of the place isn't great, but I am not one to care about a hole in the wall vibe as long as the service is on point. I have done scalp treatment at my regular salon, but they don't have the shower contraption like this place. I booked this place and convinced A to try it with me. A is not into this sort of thing, so A got the Scalp Treatment and Massage 40 mins·$48 with Anna. I got the Steam Scalp Treatment and Massage 60 mins·$68 with Wendy. The restroom needs work, like at least make it more spa-feel and don't use sketchy liquid soap. I would switch it to a higher end, since I am not even sure if their soap will trigger inflammation. Anyways I thought Wendy was nice, but she didn't cut it for me at all. Like I was looking forward to this and to get stress and tension dissolved during the 60 minutes, but nope it didn't happen. I was picturing something where your head is relaxed and they wash your hair. Instead some of the time they are holding your head with just one hand, while the other one is washing it. I felt bad for my lady, because I wasn't sure if this was comfortable for her and so I wasn't able to relax my head. I felt like I was in Pilates class, but she advised for me to relax, but still the quality of the massage was subpar. Get to my pressure points and I am not sure, maybe she's better with other people and maybe she was going easy on me, who knows, but to me if you're going to work at a place that sole purpose is for relaxation, I think everyone should be a trained masseuse. I am not even sure what shampoo and conditioner they use here, but judging from their hand soap, I am sure their products contains a lot of pesky chemicals that I avoid in my daily products at home. The only thing that I did noticed that was high-end was the Dyson blow dryer and that's it. I brought my own hair comb and Wendy used it, but to me again, this is a hair place. People should know the correct way to brush someone's hair is start from the ends than work from scalps to the ends. My hair wasn't left very conditioned or soft, and since Wendy brush from roots to ends, she pulled on my hair a lot of times, because my hair was very tangling after that whatever products they used. They offer a lot of styling products at the end, but I didn't leave this place with more volume than ever or did I see any dramatic difference besides really flat hair. I asked A and response was, Eh! For me, I did it and would I do it again? No, because I rather go to a place that has magic fingers rather than carrying about a stream of water going down my hair and neck. I was a lucky giveaway winner and I chose to get the herbal scalp treatment. It was my first scalp treatment ever and it was super relaxing! It truly felt like it lasted the entire hour and I wanted to just fall asleep! I loved that they massaged my arms as well. The neck massage also felt awesome. I wasn't sure if all the bother was going to be worth it but I did see a difference in my hair. It was lighter and had more life. She saw my thinning hair and just picked the hair loss shampoo for me (lol). She goes into a deep scrub and massage of the scalp, neck, upper upper back, shoulders, arms and upper chest. They provide a modesty towel to cover your chest, but privacy is a bit lacking between all the curtain sheets. I don't have a sensitive neck, but the FRONT neck massages are certainly strange. It is an average experience for those with short hair as someone in my group was surprised when I walked out to get my hair blown and it was already dry. There's only so much hair to towel/dry off (lol). What brings it down for me is that there was a bit of a struggle/distraction when the masseuse tried to take off my watch and necklace in the middle of the massage. I came here with two girlfriends on a Wednesday night and they are busy! We chose the $78 60 min Signature Scalp Herbal Steam treatment which I think we could've done without. I would probably just do the $68 60 min steam scalp treatment and massage instead because I'm not sure if the herbs did much. Do get there a little earlier as it takes a few minutes to check you in and undress (top only but you keep your bra on) and just settle down - you want good use of that full hour. They'll give you a menu of what you want to focus on (itchy scalp, thin hair, etc) and then begins an hour of what you never knew you needed - an amazing head massage. I can't remember the exact order of shampooing and massaging and steaming but they'll go in and leave your head squeaky clean. The scalp massage is a mix of hands, comb, and an electric massager. They also throw in a nice neck/shoulder/arms massage too. I had Shelly and she was surprisingly strong. After the massage they'll do a scan of your scalp to show you how clean it is and blow dry. I wish they did a before though so I can see the comparison! I liked that the booking process was easy and you do it through a third party site. I also appreciate that there are tip boxes outside as your tip kind of remains anonymous and I hate going up to them while they're in the middle of starting another session. A nice staff brought me to a private room, and gave me a menu which you choose which problem you'd like to address (hair growth, fallout, etc). Went there with my husband, tbh I didn't really enjoy the experience at all. While we were doing the signature scalp spa, the room was cramped, really hot, and there were bright lights right above our heads, there were also some music playing in the background, and the machine was also pretty loud. It was really hard for me to be relaxed and feel comfortable in that environment. My masseuse also didn't seem very skillful, this isn't my first scalp spa, I have done scalp spas for the same price elsewhere and it was a completely different experience. She seemed like she didn't really know the right places to massage, nor know how hard or light she should go for each pressure point. When she blew dried my hair, she also was using the blow dry my hair against my scalp really close .... She was very polite and kind though, therefore I still gave a 25% tip to each masseuse. Despite booking a week ahead for two simultaneous 12 PM appointments, I didn't receive a confirmation text until the day before my appointment at 7:18 PM. I was unable to respond right away and ended up replying at 9:44 PM, only to find out that my appointment had been canceled via email. It is unreasonable to assume I would be free to respond right away especially at night and I did respond within their working hours. I ended up texting them regarding the email asking if my appointment was cancelled because I did confirm my appointment in which they replied that I could come in at 12 PM. When we got there, they told us they would cut our treatment down to 40 minutes from an hour. They also said we would have to be done one at a time instead of together, which would have been a complete waste of time. They ended up blaming us for their poor scheduling and overbooking. I trekked all the way to flushing, took me an hour to get there only to get an average head massage. There are tons of choices for what kind of massage you want. I chose the muscle soreness one since my back hurts quite often. The girl that did my massage was very kind to spend extra time on my upper and lower back. - 60 min head spa: this was my favorite part, I have been seeing so many tiktoks about getting a scalp treatment so I was quite excited. It was $68 for 60 minutes and they have a 40 minute option if you have shorter hair and that is $48. It was worth it. My scalp felt so clean afterwards and my hair was so soft. 10 out of 10 recommend. they can also show you what your scalp looks like with the ultrasound looking thing. Appointments: they take walk-ins as well as appointments, and you have to call to make an appointment. They'll call you the day of to confirm the appointment, but since English isn't there a strong suit there might be some miscommunication. You can also text them. It was easy to schedule this for my husband for Fathers Day. They are friendly and on schedule. The bed/washing station looked very new and clean. The service provider was nice and asked if everything was okay every once in a while. Overall the experience was nice and defiantly makes a nice gift. I took one star off because 1. They don't show you your scape BEFORE doing the wash which would have been a nice part of the experience and 2. ( This is the gross part for me) the hair brush they use AFTER you get your hair washed and dried was not cleaned and had someone else's hair in it!
