So, this summer, we decided to move forward with the plan to be "soakin' for the holidays" three months away. The only thing standing in the way of that dream: the slab and its neighbor had sunk a few extra degrees, roughly three inches, at the far edge. We were going to need to shore up and permanently stabilize this slab if our hopes of the (3-ton when filled) tub were going to materialize. I made a quick call to Terra Firma and they had an estimator out within a few days. The pricing was reasonable and had the standard 50% up front 50% when complete-type contract. Casey arrived spot-on at 8:00am yesterday morning and began doing his magic (the process involves boring 1/2" holes through the slab, then using high pressure and heat to inject a molten expanding foam under the slab.) The foam is rated to support about 5 tons (10,000 pounds) per pound of foam material, and....100 pounds later that whole slab is back to following the prescribed slope perfectly, raising almost three inches on the sunken side. He did a great job and was a great rep for the company, explaining what little was left to explain. He kept me up on the status of the (4-hour) job as he went along--because our slabs had previously cracked, he had to gently lift it up in small sections so as to not have the sections separate further. Perfect job. 24 hours later and the patched holes have dried to almost-invisible (see photos). Unless you know what you're looking for, you can't even really see that repairs were made. Now I just need to fill in the pre-existing cracks with concrete patching caulk and we're ready to schedule the hot tub delivery! Yippee! Thanks Terra Firma!

I received more value than what I paid. You see, their value started 4 years ago, in 2022. I had them come out, define and price the job and signed a contract and paid 1/2 upfront. Within a couple weeks after signing I became critically ill, in the ICU and Hospital for 2 months. As a result I lost my job among other things and have a permanent disability. I reached out to Ram Jack West and they, very graciously, supported me by refunding my money immediately - especially at my greatest time of need. Our repairs were extensive, yet we had very minimal disruption to our living during the time they worked. The crew was the hardest working we have ever seen, and they even cleaned up and repaired everything after the work (e.g., holes in the ground refilled, concrete removed and replaced, etc.). However, replacing the deck would mean having to update it to current building codes and permits, which would then mean having to hire an engineer for our small 6' x 14' deck... Bruce came over, took a look and casually said, we can add more supports and fix the deck instead of having to replace it. He walked us through all the repairs he would do, he listened to our concerns and wrote up an estimate that weekend. I choose to hire him because of his straightforwardness in answering all my questions, he was so down to earth and friendly, I felt like he was trustworthy. We went from potentially having to wait months and spend $20,000 on a new replacement deck to spending about $5,000 on repairs and taking considerably less time. They were booked out till about October and would contact us when the time came closer, they did just that and were able to fix the deck in a day. We hired him to come back to build a 2nd retaining wall, his son came out and built it in less than an hour. They used high quality materials, I feel like the wood used will last a long time. A year later, we noticed that the deck was starting to sink and consulted with Bruce. He came over, took a look and figured it was probably the ground material was soft and causing the deck to sink.
