Super fun interactive brewery tour! Lots of information but lots of ways to consume it. They offer many languages for this self guided tour. Many restaurants (some don't open til 12). Your free pint of Guinness (or soda) at the end of the tour is really just a cherry on top to a really cool experience. And because it is self guided you can move on whenever you're ready. Even if you don't do beer go the tasting room and smell and learn about how the beer should be consumed!
The Guinness Storehouse is a must if you're in the area. I don't really care for beer, but I tried mine with black currant and it was so good! You could easily spend 30 minutes or 4 hours here. It's a beautiful "museum" and easy to navigate. Give yourself a little longer than you think you'll need.
Guinness storehouse is well worth the price of admission. There's all the marketing piece, but when you arrive on the tasting room floor, there is a large hall, where if you stay for a while, there is a 40 minute show. Ours started with a drum lesson (bodran), and then had a live band complete with Irish dancers and and electric harp player. It was great and felt like an Irish experience. Upstairs, the views were fantastic and the food was quite good with ample portions. I felt like it was an excellent experience and I'm surprised they haven't opened one in Las Vegas and Orlando!
Summary: Highly recommend. If you enjoy Guinness Beer and products or how Arthur Guinness positively impacted the economy and families of Dublin, the tour is worthwhile. Schedule a few hours to get the full effect. When my family and I planned our trip to Ireland and scheduled a stay in Dublin for a few nights, we reserved tickets for the Guinness Storehouse tour. On the day of the tour, we walked past the horse and buggy rides on Bellevue and posed for pictures by the iconic large Guinness Gates, I could feel the anticipation building. Walking inside the main entrance and through the ticket area was relatively sterile and quiet. Once inside the Storehouse, however, sights and sounds abounded. Tours begin at the center and bottom floor of the seven floor, pint-shaped (as in a pint glass) atrium. Although a tour guide kicked off our experience with interesting facts and history, most of the tour was self-guided. A quick summary of the 7 floors: Picture an immersive infomercial (but one you chose), with some cool displays along the way. And, several opportunities to drink the world-famous Guinness Stout. If you like to drink Guinness, all the ticket packages include the drinking room where you are taught how to enjoy a Guinness with a smaller glass and given a coupon for a free pint or non-alcoholic beverage choice on the top floor at the Gravity Bar. We chose the Academy package where we learned how to pour the "Perfect Pint", receive a certificate (of proof of completion), and then enjoyed our beer, complete with a foam mustache. We enjoyed the view and another brew at the Gravity Bar. Food options are available along the way and the big merch area is located on the bottom floor.
If you're a Guinness lover like me then it's only proper you visit the Storehouse in Dublin. I've been twice. It's seven stories of history, nostalgia, and well, beer! This was once the fermentation plant but now it's got the Guinness Academy where you learn to do a proper pour, an experimental pub, gravity bar, food, a gift shop...of course. The first time I went it took me about two hours or so to get through the whole place. Took about an hour the second time because I knew what I wanted to see and do. There are interactive exhibits that help provide history and education on the brewing process, how Guinness started, and so on. I highly suggest purchasing tickets in advance because they get so busy and you don't want to miss out on this extraordinary experience.
The Guinness Storehouse is absolutely worth the visit -- a newer, beautifully designed installation that's genuinely impressive from start to finish. It's a self‑guided experience that you move through at your own pace while learning about everything from how the iconic beer is made, to the evolution of its marketing and advertisements, to the history of the Guinness family and brand. It's engaging, modern, and well done. Make sure to stop at the Guinness Academy, where the staff teaches you how to pour the perfect pint (a must‑do). After that, head to the top floor for a 360° view of Dublin and the factory grounds. You also get another pint on the house -- enjoy it with friends while taking in the views. Don't forget to stop at the gift shop on the way down; they have something for everyone. Highly recommend booking a reservation, and the earlier the better. We arrived at 10am on a Wednesday and by the time we left around 12:30pm, the place was absolutely mobbed. A fun, immersive, and well‑run experience. Five stars and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Dublin.
Admitredly part of the reason I even wanted to visit Ireland+Dublin was due to my love of Guinness. Touring the storehouse did not disappoint! Despite how large the place is, it was easy to find the beginning of the tour and follow along from there. The building is several stories and covers the finest details of the Guinness production from the family to the land, ingredients, and those that work behind the scenes! I enjoyed the marketing section which showed some rather quirky ways that past Guinness advertisements were made. The bar at the end where you can finally have a pint of Guinness is a perfect finale to the rather epic tale. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend it!
Super cool self-lead tour. We loved the visual aspect of everything that really was an experience like no other. Try to give yourself at least 2 -3 hours if you want to take your time, have enough time for the rooftop lounge and enough time for any other experience you may do. We chose to do the StouTie experience which is a pint of Guinness with your picture on top. It was sooooo cool. I would recommend that they make the picture purchasable because I would have liked to preserve the picture forever! Store was really big and plenty of things to buy. So glad we did this experience.
I know this is super touristy but it's honestly so worth the hype. We easily spent three hours there and probably could have done more. Each floor covered interesting material and despite the number of people we never felt overcrowded. Yes, I paid an extra €8 to drink a pint with my face on it. No, I don't regret it. Great views from the Gravity Bar. Also the merch was surprisingly cheap! A lot of shirts under €30 which I wasn't expecting.
Such a cool experience! Highly recommend buying tickets in advance especially if you want the Stoutie experience. Tickets were SOLD out for weeks. We were able to get tickets for self guided tours. This place is huge and you can easily spend hours here. Every floor is well labeled. Place is very clean given the amount of tourist that visit. Service is exceptional the staff here are amazing. There are food options and few restaurants for anyone that wants to sit and have a meal. There is also a store where you can purchase merchandise. The tour itself was very educational and not boring as a lot of cool technology is used to educate on the beer process. I am so glad I went here.
This was a must for us while visiting Ireland! The storehouse/ tour is 7 floors and each floor has something different to offer. There are different ticketing options and we went with the one that offers a selfie option. This was so cute and fun to do. You will learn about the taste, the making, and history of Guinness. The staff was so friendly and even recommended us to one of the best pubs we tried! This was such a cool experience!!
I fought wanting to come here but was peer pressured by my children who bought the tickets. The tour ended up being a fun experience. It started on the bottom floor and we walked through the different levels showing ingredients, advertising, proper way to taste, etc. then ended on the top floor where we were treated to a pint and a 360 degree panoramic view of the city. The top was packed with it was fairly fast to get a beer, but all of the seats were full.
This is my dream bar. The sky house rooftop bar or whatever it's called is the biggest vibe ever. Their pints are life changing. I also got the pint with my face printed on it a few levels down. Can't wait to come back here. Service was good no notes. read more

We had an opportunity to do the self guided tour and then we were directed to a huge beautiful room for our dinner. The facility designed a special menu for us and the food was really quite good when you consider that they cooked for over 300 people. The service was also very professional and friendly. We then had desserts and cocktails in the penthouse bar on the top floor. Alot of fun! read more

The Guinness Storehouse is an absolute must-see when in Dublin. It's incredible to hear how the company was started as well as how Guinness is brewed and distributed. The bar upstairs with the fantastic view was incredibly busy so I wasn't able to get a spot to sit and enjoy my beer. I walked around enjoying it instead. You will not taste a better pint of Guinness anywhere! Absolutely recommend this tour and you definitely need to grab some goodies from the gift shop before you leave. read more
Fun atmosphere! On a Saturday afternoon it was packed. This was the last stop on our walking tour and our guide took us straight to the 7th floor for a pint. The views are great, but it was crowded and hot. The pint was much better than what we have in the States. We took our beer to the 5th floor and enjoyed a quiet, cooler atmosphere. After walking since 8 am, we totally passed on the tour so I can't comment. Watching everyone was fun, especially the guys out for their stag party. read more

I did the self guided tour which was roughly $22 USD. I did the first tour at 9:30. That was a nice tip as it wasn't busy. After a quick intro, you are able to explore. It was cute with some interesting facts but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. At the end, you can go up to the Gravity Bar and get your pint. You get a nice 360 view of the city. Because of the early self guided tour, we enjoyed having the Gravity Bar mostly to ourselves. It was a decent experience. Maybe doing a different tour option there would've been more interesting. read more
The Guinness Storehouse is an incredibly popular experience. We showed up on our first day and were turned away because we didn't have a reservation. We were told that you have to make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. Ugh ... gut punch. Luckily, we returned to Dublin at the end of our week and made this a priority. The "tour" starts with an introduction and then you are sent to explore room by room on your own. There are tons of high tech videos and displays about the history and making of Guinness. I thought the video of their marketing and advertising campaigns was particularly fun. You then get lead into a room where they have little miniature pours for everyone. She talks for while and then you taste. Slainte! At the end of the experience you can go to Gravity Bar at the very top. It's two rooms with bars where you get to order a pint. This space was hopping! Packed! Slammed! We lucked out and got a table to sit a bit and enjoy. I loved walking all the way around the two rooms. It's windows, floor to ceiling, so you get 360 degree views of the city. They have labeling on the windows to tell you about what you're seeing. It's brilliant. read more

Great experience and good time to spend on a rainy day even if you aren't a beer fan. They really did a nice job of putting this experience together and you can see and learn a lot. It is done beautifully. Even though I finally confirmed I in-fact do not enjoy a Guinness, I still appreciated everything that was done there and enjoyed my time. The gift shop was also great. It was a rainy day and I came unprepared so I walked out with a beanie and a fun umbrella of the fish! read more

When in Dublin, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse is a must. On your self-guided tour, you'll explore seven floors and learn about the history/how to make Guinness. End your tour at the Gravity Bar, where you can enjoy a 360 view of Dublin while sipping on a pint (those 21/under can enjoy a soft drink). If you get hungry while on the tour, be sure to grab a bite to eat at the Cooperage Cafe (the cruffin was delicious) or Brewer's Dining Hall (recommend the loaded nachos). Free parking is available at the corner lot designated just for the Storehouse. read more

If you're in Dublin I highly recommend taking the tour of the Guinness Storehouse (even if you don't like Guinness)! It's super cool to see the history behind it and how it's made, there's a lot of floors to walk through and a tasting room, bar, and a restaurant. Each person gets a ticket for a free Guinness at the end of the tour. The views of Dublin from the bar on top are priceless! read more
The Guinness tour is a must! Not only to learn so much of the beer's unique history, but to view the presentation of the elements that make their beer so great is definitely worth the visit. It's no surprise that much pride and effort goes into the beer, but the tour is a well cultivated experience to behold before you get to the tasting. And of course, the gravity bar at the top level is something one must experience as well. You get a fine pour of Guinness and the view of the city is spectacular. Wow, what a tour, worth every penny, you need to buy tickets in advance and it's more of a self-guided tour than anything but, everything was very interesting. I would've given it a five out of five, but it was extremely crowded. At the end of the tour they served you a cold pint of Guinness. You can also pay for a pint of Guinness with your picture in the foam and they have free taste testing. So this was a bucket list event on our trip to Dublin. I love Guinness! The most perfectly poured pints of Guinness are poured in Dublin. We sampled a few of the freshest pints at the Guinness Storehouse. But that wasn't all...... the Storehouse is BEAUTIFUL! HISTORY. MARKETING. FRIENDLY STAFF. I could go on and on. When in Dublin, take a couple of hours and experience the magic of Guinness! I will be back! read more
This place is huge and it has a lot of history about Guinness but it felt more like a museum than a storehouse if that makes sense? They have interactive things so you can see how the beer is made, how it's kept, they give you a tiny tasting and tell you exactly how it should be drank and you go floor by floor learning about the different ingredients used until you get to the rooftop bar where you can get a pint for your ticket. I'm not a fan of Guinness so I got their ale and I actually liked that, although that bar ends up being super crowded with nowhere to sit. It's nice if you're into Guinness or beer but for me it was just okay. read more

Okay, why don't I drink Guinness more? Probably because once it gets to the U.S., it just doesn't taste the same. But if you can drink it from its birthplace, you will not be disappointed. In fact, it will make you wonder why don't you drink Guinness more. The first thing I did when I landed in Dublin was book a visit for the last spot at the Guinness Storehouse that very same day. With my carry-on and having traveled hours on a plane, I took the bus into town and walked to Guinness Storehouse because I was not going to waste any precious time while in Ireland. And I needed a beer. What's great for tourists, Guinness Storehouse has a luggage storage area for free, so all visitors can bring their carry-on and luggage here while touring the storehouse. Perfect! After checking in my carry-on and backpack, I went on the tour, which consisted of multiple levels of interactive exhibits, explaining background, history and the making of Guinness. Although the place was busy with tourists, the space is huge, so it never felt crowded. Until you go to the gravity bar, which is located at the very top of the storehouse and is the observation deck area. It was super packed during my visit, so unfortunately, I never was able to snag a seat. But I still enjoyed my pints of Guinness, which came with the entry ticket. It's a cool experience in Dublin and compared to other breweries I've visited in other countries, the Guinness Storehouse is definitely way more fun. The exhibits are interactive, the staff are friendly, there are eateries on the upper levels and the gift store has lots to choose from for loved ones. I had a great time here on my first night in Dublin. read more

Highly recommend checking this place out when you're in Dublin! We did the selfie tour and it was definitely a great experience. Everything at Guinness is at your own pace, so just show up for your tour time and then you were on your own. Pro tip! Book. Your. Tour. In advance.! do not just show up and expect to be able to get a ticket. This might be the case in non-busy season, but to be safe just get the ticket ahead of time. There is a place to eat on the same level as the selfie experience. Don't feel stressed or pressured to have to hurry through each of the levels, you will have plenty of time. We took our time and were there for about 2 1/2 hours. Highly enjoyed Guinness, and it is full of history. If you love all of the old school, Guinness, marketing, you will be in for a treat! There are also elevators in case you don't want to walk up levels. When you are going to the bar on the top level, the view is nice, but be prepared that you will not find a seat and for it to be packed! Overall, a must do while in Dublin! read more
This experience was everything I hope for and more!! I had signed up for the self guided tour that had the learn how to pour a Guinness experience, and it was fantastic!! I loved being able to go at my own speed and really check the things out that I wanted to. I also got to do the get your picture printed on the foam, and that was also so fun. We ate at one of the restaurants inside the storehouse and the food was so good. I am still thinking about the mussels I had. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They also had live music in one of the rooms, so I got to sit for a while and listen and watch some step dancing, which was very cool. Overall I definitely recommend checking this out when in Dublin, it's a fun experience and cool to see how much Guinness has grown. read more
Very cool place to understand the story behind Guinness. I might, perchance, opt for a longer and more private experience than the standard the next time I go. It did feel like a lot of fluff before getting to the final destination, but the fluff was well curated. Views at the top of the storehouse are beautiful, if you can snag a seat in a great location. One of the individuals pouring the beers had a terrible attitude, but that was a minor blip our group faced. The gift shop had some really cool items! The Guinness Storehouse in Ireland. This seems like a must when you are in Dublin! I mean, why not visit the headquarters of where one of the best beers was made?! It's the mothership. The great bambino of beer. You just have to lol It was lots of fun! We didn't get to do a tour- not enough time during our trip. But we went to the grounds. We were prepared to not like the Guinness Storehouse but really enjoyed it. We skipped the official tour and elected instead to have a late lunch and explore on our own. Our lunch was really good and exploring was a lot of fun. There's a huge shop, a walkthrough exhibit that is very well done and several floors. There's also a baron the top floor with amazing 360-degree views of Dublin and of course food We noticed there are some abandoned buildings next the Guinness that we assume is maybe their original location. Hope they convert it to housing or reuse it. Seems a shame to just sit there. read more

Guinness Storehouse is a MUST when in Dublin. We went during St Pattys week and luckily we had booked our tickets in advance. We got the basic package that's a self walk through with a complimentary drink at the end. Heard from friends that it was sold out. The seven floor storehouse is incredible. They breakdown how the Guinness is made, to the marketing, to the history all ending with a glass of Guinness at the rooftop Gravity Bar that gets you great views of Dublin! Service was great, and this place has the BEST Guinness I have ever had in my life. This is not an over-exaggeration. We got some souvenirs from the gift shop but would definitely bring friends and family back here. Cheers! read more
I love this self-guided Guinness Storehouse tour. It offers lots of history at your own pace and cool merchandise to clean out your wallet. Once you get to the top floor (7th), you are rewarded with a panoramic view of Dublin and a free pint of the most delicious and fresh Guinness that you ever experience. Don't waste your money on the extras. The regular ticket is more than enough and you can stay as long as you want. No one is rushing you even though the ticket stated a certain amount of time. read more
Do you like waiting in lines? Are you over 50 years old? Do you really, really, really like Guinness? Then you'll probably really appreciate this experience! I for one absolutely hated everything from the get go. I was told by numerous people that this was a can't be missed experience when visiting Dublin so I pre-booked some tickets on our last day for 3:45 pm. Upon arrival they scan your ticket outside then you go inside to wait in line to get your ticket scanned again and wait in line for a time that you paid for and then you get shuffled in with other groups of people only to listen to an employee tell you a few things on the ground floor where you can take escalators up and up through a few exhibits, all with information you could find on line (how is beer made, what makes Guinness different, how long have they been around, etc), I really thought we would get to see the actual brewery not some weird Charlie and the Chocolate Factory smell room and photo ops. All the employees were so robotic and rehearsed, they might as well have been animatronics or just recordings over a speaker - I could not get out of here fast enough. The gravity bar was so full that we had to stand to drink our beers and couldn't do any fun photo ops due to all the tourists everywhere and this was on a Monday! There was one bathroom I could find for just hundreds of people and it shares a door with both genders with only a few stalls each. Horrible design. An absolute total rip off. Go out to a local pub and get a Guinness in the wild for god sake and avoid this tourist trap at all costs. read more
You have to check this out. This tour is dialed in and once you finish (the tour slowly circles up), you are at the top overlooking Dublin. The french onion soup made with Guiness was delicious, as the was the beer at the end of it all. Honestly, the tour is about 1.5-2 hours and is worth checking out. Just make sure you sign up for a tour well in advance as it is incredibly popular. read more
I thought this would be an overhyped tourist trap, but honestly, the self guided tour through 5 levels of the Guinness Storehouse was educational and entertaining. It was interactive with sights such as barley "fields", water falls with laser images, the White Room where you smell all of the aromas in beer and the Black Velvet Room where you get a small tasting. Then the rooftop Gravity Bar for the big finish. A great job the brewery has done to make this a highlight for Guinness fans. read more

An absolute must when visiting Dublin. It is popular and iconic for a reason! We went for the Basic Guinness Storehouse Experience for €30 which was perfect. It included a self-guided tour, a couple tasting rooms, and a free pint at the Gravity Bar. I really liked the self-guided tour format which allowed us to go at our own pace and really take the time to understand the history of Guinness and the brewing process. The tasting rooms were also really interesting. I definitely would not consider myself a beer connoisseur but I enjoyed learning many new things. The experience culminated in a pint of Guinness at the Gravity Bar with sweeping views of Dublin. Only downside is that it was very crowded up here and was difficult to find a seat. Overall I highly recommend this experience. It's a great way to spend a rainy afternoon, especially for those visiting Dublin for the first time. read more

The Guinness storehouse has so much information in its many floors - and easily it has become my favorite alcohol tour/marketing experience. That comes with the different floors telling a new story from the ingredients and being able to smell each component to the progression in advertising, to getting to try the perfect pour. There are so many add-ons that are gimmicks but if you're there it might be worth it. The perfect Guinness pour is the whole reason to be there and I was able to enjoy a great pint at the end of a knowledgeable tour. read more
