When I was setting up the guitar stands on Sunday the 6th I found out one of them was defective. On Monday the 7th of September I attempted to return one stand for a replacement but found out they were closed-it was Labor day. On the 8th of Sept I left town for 10 days, and returned on the 18th. On the 19th I went to Woodsongs in an attempt to have the defective guitar stand replaced. The nice young man behind the counter said he'd have to talk to the manager. The manager appeared and told me they had a strict 7 day return policy. I told him I tried to return the stand on Monday the 7th of September but they were closed, and that I'd been out of town since then. He told me that they are never closed and that I should have returned it before I left town. He didn't replace the stand which is not an expensive item, and treated me as though I was making an unreasonable request to have the stand replaced. He even told me that I broke it and it was my fault. As a retail outlet, the customer service is very poor and there is a air of arrogance about the shop. I'll never go back there again. I'll go to Louisville. I've been around music my whole life and usually musicians are good to other musicians. I don't get the impression this shop is run by players. Just a retail shop.

She has helped me to discover my voice and my abilities in music. Yes there are different bundles to sign up. It took me a while of practicing and feeling comfortable at first I thought I was not going to be successful. But now I can drum and sing at the same time. I'm getting better with tempo, beats and timing includes rhythm. I will probably end up with all her classes. She does have retreats which I do hope to attend one day. But now I'm writing songs and practicing makes perfect. It all comes together and yes sometimes it doesn't make sense. But keep at it and it will come through your body and voice.

When I attended more than a third of the class was a sales pitch for a much larger and more expensive online program. The pricing on this program was tiered depending on when you sign up. It felt manipulative as it put pressure on people to sign up right away without having time to think it over. When people in the class brought up needing time or concerns that stood in the way of their commitment she was dismissive. Her voice is beautiful and she is a talented artist but does not seem to have a lot of integrity.

A five star it is. The owner is a very pleasant gentleman and invited me to play any instrument in the store I wanted to. He had several resonator guitars in the shop and after strumming a few I took down a metal bodied Recording King biscuit cone for a test drive. I thought it sounded pretty good but I wasn't sure about the price? I never impulse buy a musical instrument without researching it and the price. Although his price is slightly higher than an internet price it isn't unreasonable for a store price and seems very fair. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) I have a couple guitars I use for slide now and this wasn't "the One" that I'm searching for but I'd recommend it and the shop to anybody I know looking for a nice resonator. After I was done hearing what this res had to offer ( and the owner complimented me on my playing) we chatted about guitars for a bit. A lady came in with a couple guitars to have them checked and re-strung and he was very professional and courteous to the woman that obviously was a novice. He made good recommendations for her and didn't attempt to upsell her with expensive strings or other items she didn't need. As I left the store he asked me to please come back anytime and I will anytime I'm up this way because you never know where and when "the One" will appear and also because I enjoy supporting small businesses whenever I can.
