Didn't give us much information about the teacher they contracted to at the beginning either. Their price point was high compared with local levels, it seems that their fee needs to be taken out before paying the teacher. My questions and later complaints were ignored, and upon repeated requests to cancel my subscription, they still charged me to the point of their response, not when I asked for it. I have since taken my recommendation of them to other families back. Use your local teachers instead!

This place is huge and has every piece of music you could think of. Many of the gems are hidden inside file cabinets. If you're lucky, you may be able to find first edition concertos. I shopped here during college for technical books and etudes. I now shop here for my own students and leisure. If there seems to be a tune you just do not know the name of, give it a quick hum and the staff will 99% of the time know exactly what you're talking about! They're great people, all musicians and vocalists. Not so much the musician? Just drop in and check out the bulletin board for teachers/lessons of all levels. I looked around and this place seemed good so I called for information and got a call back super quick. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful... and optimistic. Haha... The place is tucked in a neighborhood down a small street, but it has a private parking lot. There are 4 lessons a month billed monthly. I wasn't sure what to expect with my daughter being the unknown variable because of her age, but the teacher was professional and nice. However, my nugget stopped being excited as soon as she learned she couldn't just "play" freestyle and had to listen to an adult. So, even though kids as young as 4 can start one-on-one lessons... it's up to the individual. Definitely not for mine. We decided to stay but switched over to a group music class geared for toddlers - they have 2, one for 3 and the other for 4 year olds where they learn music basics while having fun. They let us take free trial classes of both until we could decide. My nugget's in the 3 year old one because she never had classroom experience before and she seems to enjoy it - definitely more than the one-on-one lesson, for sure. If she's still interested in a few years, we'll revisit piano but for now, the group lessons are good. The classes are not exactly "cheap", but it is as expected. The teachers are all knowledgeable and engaging, though I feel bad sometimes. My nugget is free spirited and... wild if she's in the mood. The group classes have gotten larger, which is noticeable since they're in a small room, but attendance fluctuates. So far, it isn't a huge cause for concern - what with the pandemic and all. Overall, I will definitely look here for music lesson needs and we are pretty happy so far.

I recently purchased a violin from Lisle and Cameron was super patient. I checked out two violins for a week at a time so that I could properly determine if they were a good fit. First day I walked in, I saw this unique handcrafted small body jazz guitar. The proprietor, Taka Moro, built it over 13 months ! We started the first lesson. I was floored. He is an extremely accomplished jazz player and complete musician as well. He does this UNBELIEVABLE set up. I have had him do what he terms as 'premium setup' on one classical/hybrid, three electrics including one Traveler guitar, Gibson LesPaul ES and Gibson Johnny A. Honestly, I didn't know what I had until he put his craft to work. He will have you play for him so he knows exactly how to set it up. You will be amazed !! He will send you pics of the entire process. No BS here..none. His own crafted guitars are to die for..action, tone..complete everything ! Honestly, I am not a pro, but I've been to several of the top repair guys in Houston over the years, but this is the SH*T !. Taka will not hold your guitar hostage for several months (dealt with that), brush you off (again, been there) or do a half ass job..nothing but PERFECTION every time !! Took his sweet assed time writing out the ticket for my small purchase. wanted to play an instrument; I waited at the rack per his instructions. and waited. when he came he told me to take it down myself then lurked like an anemic vulture as I played, a mute warning of the death that waits us all. Very creepy and not the sort of environment to road test an instrument, unless you play a lot of wakes.
