Yikes. Dr. Zikria is a kind physician and genuinely seems caring, but the office is run-down, the equipment is outdated and billing practices are questionable. I was charged the entire cost of my gyn office procedur upfront ($450), before insurance was billed. Even my insurance provider couldn't figure out why it was being handled that way. For my actual procedure, the equipment looked about 40 years old. My procedure was done using outdated methods. I had another doctor look at it afterwards and they were concerned. So much wrong here. Update: I fought with their office for three months to get refunded for my overpayment. read more

I have got full face laser hair removal treatment here that spanned over 9months and once the treatment is done, with ink one month my hair grew back as if I never got the treatment!! Terrible customer service, I basically had to do their job and call my insurance to confirm my benefits and Mayra started yelling at them because of her own mistakes. She wouldn't even admit that she messed up, kept changing up her story. I've been considering a tattoo removal for some time now, and I was searching online for a good place to go to. Low and behold I was able to find Dr. Gul A Zikria online, and he even had a Groupon going on! I was pretty excited to get the process started (since knowing that it's an 8 week in between process) and I got the groupon to remove my tattoo. When I called to make an appointment however, I was told they only do black or faded ink - no color ink at all. This was a bit disappointing because they had nothing on their Groupon stating this, but I appreciated the transparency. What was misleading, was that they had a groupon set for 6in x 6in. I paid, bought it, only to call and make my appointment and the girl to tell me "Oh, we meant to put cm. Not inches." Which was disappointing and misleading. I told her they really need to correct this mistake, and she mentioned that they had "a lot" of purchasers of this groupon and had to correct them- this was even a 'trending' on groupon option and highlighted everywhere? I found it hard to believe they couldn't have changed the units, not to mention, the deal they offered was nearly nothing for the cost it would have been. I've just checked and they did change the units, but this was a bad experience and the woman I spoke to wasn't very professional or remorseful for how they misrepresented themselves. read more

So where should I start....hmm. Well for starts...horrible "customer service" and very unprofessional!!! I have been to many skin care clinics and this one is the most unprofessional and unreliable place to get a simple procedure as a microdermabrasion and mini facial. Buyer beware!!!! I originally purchased a Groupon for this place. The first time, I made a literal 2 month ahead appointment and the esthetician had me wait a hour and 5 minutes. She was catering to a "well off" customer to buy certain skin care products, meanwhile with my scheduled appointment I still waited 1 hr and 5 minutes. After the customer left with her skin care items, and orders I literally had to walk up and ask why the long wait? Just plain excuses! I was told that the doctor had a emergency, and staff that certain staff were out today with little help. Also, I asked why I couldn't be told this earlier and fill out some paperwork while I am waiting for a really long time. Then I made a second appointment hoping to "get service" for the same procedure, again a 45 minute wait and told to wait another 20 more minutes. By this time, I told the the nurse or other esthetician.." NO! I am not waiting any more minutes. I told her I got confirmation from several text messages prior and a phone call that my appointment was confirmed. I told her, "This is unprofessional and that I am not waiting anymore!" " I want a refund for my Groupon.!" Now...I know it was a $60.00 deal, but if you want referrals for skin care and a future customers you don't treat people like this. Go to "Vienna Skin Clinic" and also "Evergreen Wellness Clinic." I have used Groupons with both and they are a very updated, a clean clinic with have great professionalism as well as very accommodating services. I also returned to use services without Groupon. I would of left a crappy review on Groupon for this clinic, but you can only do this when you "redeem" your purchase. I did however, tell Groupon my complaints because I don't want other future customers to be swindled to buy online purchases also... if they get the same type of service!!! Again, stay away from this unprofessional skin care place, only if you you spend money perhaps some great service? Yet, you will have very long waits...with even an appointment. His staff is really friendly & makes you feel comfortable. They always try to make time for you when you call with issues. I am sorry for the misunderstanding about Abdominal Liposuction .When we say Abdominal liposuction it is only the Abdomen area but if someone has fat all around the belly, sides, lower back, and love handles and wants to do liposuction we suggest to do all the areas in order to look better. If we only do abdomen liposuction you will not get the best results and might not be satisfied. Since you didn't agree on doing the suggested areas, it is not fair for us to receive a bad review from you and misguide other patients. The price of $2800 is applicable for those patients with little fat on the abdomen only, however, the quoted price of $4800 was for the abdomen + lower back, love handle and waist area. Even now, reading your comments and you attacking the customer (Me personally). Most companies would take the time to understand why there was a misunderstanding instead of attacking a customer. My statement related to body shaming is to this point, if the majority of your clients are most likely going to need liposuction in more than one area, why state that price, and if your client is fixed only to get that one area, it's their body, why push on them to have other areas done? I feel right now, this could have been very differently if a couple things had happened. One, if the customer really wants a certain procedure done and you explained the outcome, give them what they want. Two, if the customer is unhappy with the service and decides to post their feelings on a site like yelp, then try your best to understand where the customer is coming from. Call them and follow-up. DON'T attack them. It looks bad. Lastly, this is the most important one. You charged me a consultation. I think if I was not charged a consultation, I would have went about my way and think to myself that this is a place that charge more than I am willing to pay. Instead you charge me $66.30 for in my opinion was a waste of time. The price that I was hoping for changed. A different price was offered during my visit. I went to Dr. Zikria for a consultation for skin resurfacing because after years in an abusive relationship I felt that every time I looked in the mirror I was reminded of the horrors because it aged my face so quickly. I am not in a great place financially but felt that it would be worth some investment to be able to look in the mirror again without feeling sad and reminded of what I had been through. Dr. Zikria was fine in consultation and suggested that 3 months on retinol+ hydroquinone would be similar to resurfacing and I agreed to try this. His nurse, Myra, then tried to sell me a package of products and I agreed to try it, the products would be about 480$. My visit was on Wednesday and she said she would call me on Friday when it got in and I could come pick it up. She never called me. I called back today to see what the delay was about and apparantly Myra just forgot to call, no problem. I asked how much it would be to get the retinol+ hydraquinone by itself and she said 400$. I said that triluma is only 190$ at the pharmacy so I'd rather just have a prescription but she said the dr. won't write me a prescription because they have their own product and "its, a business, right?" I asked her if it is ethical for a dr. to refuse to prescribe medication and require patients to buy something twice the price through them, and her response was that if patients don't want to follow their program then they should find another place. that I can get a prescription from my dermatologist. I told her I don't have a dermatologist and I had already paid 65$ for the consultation which I was assured would be credited to me for anything I had done with the Dr.. She finally told me I could get the retinol+ hydraquinone serum from them for 258$ (which after my 65$ credit would be similar to triluma from a pharmacy) so I asked if I could come get that and she said I'd have to wait for an appointment next week. I asked why I suddenly need an appointment when I didn't need one to purchase the 480$ package and she gave me some line about needing to be shown how to use the product etc... but this product needs to be applied at night so there really isn't any way they could show me what to do and I would have had to spend 60$ for childcare in order to make an appointment (which is difficult for me). Myra had no empathy for my situation and told me to let her know about making another appointment so now I'm stuck and I guess will have to either give more money to this unethical practice that won't give me a prescription for what the dr. ordered or spend even more money to visit another dr. to get the prescription and just be out the $65 I've spent there. While $65 might not seem like much money it actually is a fairly large chunk of what I have saved to be able to look in the mirror again... I feel like the lack of care about patients by Myra (and presumably the office who employs her) is just more awfulness that I have to go through as I try to recover what I've lost from the abusive situation. I would not recommend this office to anyone who expects compassion or empathy and I seriously question the ethics of any office that refuses to write prescriptions they order and requires patients to spend much more money to buy their proprietary products instead. read more

I went in for a consultation for a tummy tuck, Mayra was the person I had the consultation with. I went in because Groupon had a deal for a tummy tuck for 6999. Well when I went in for consultation I got a different amount. 9760.00. She argued that it is more because I'm big and that tummy tucks are not for fat people which I thought was a rude comment on her part. I went back to reread my Groupon deal and no where does it say it will be more if you are over weight. Other locations do put that in their deal description. Also when I went to the bathroom. There was blood on the floor and toilet. But I am more upset about the fat comment. I wish I would have recorded the conversation because that is discrimination. read more

WORST BUSINESS PRACTICES, FEELS LIKE FRAUD!! DONT FALL FOR THIS TRAP! I purchased a LivingSocial Voucher over 2 months ago and scheduled my first treatment. They called twice to prep me and remind me of the appointment. I SHAVED my arms and prepped accordingly. When I arrived, they refused service and said get a refund from Livingsocial. They said they stopped redeeming them 2 months ago, then they said 4 months ago (when they realized I purchased it past that 2 month mark).. I asked my options because my arms are now shaved and will grow back dark.. they offered to sell me a $1000 5 session package! DONT FALL FOR THIS GAME!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!! They prep you and trick you to get you through the door. BAIT AND SWITCH. LIARS, UNETHICAL, rot in hell for this dark, thicker hair I will now have because of your shotty business practice. I'd post a negative 5 star if i could. Receptionist's attitude is bigger than her head, rude consistently, no fluke (because I've been back a few times for check-up). She treats you as though you owe her money for a lifetime. Fine, not like she was my doctor. But she scheduled me a WRONG doctor who wasted an hour and couldn't get work done. I had to leave and go back again and pay another $20 copay, yeah of course, her trick. On my very final visit, and also my last visit to this clinic, she said she needed to charge me $250 in advance because she wasn't sure what kind of "check-up" dr. Zikria would perform. I argued with her, of course I gave in. Turned out, it was a simple check-up and I was entitled for my $250 refund, as all procedure was covered by insurance. She refused to credit back to me of course and reluctant to even waste her time to explain. Knowing how the medical billing industry works, I actually didn't want to fight any harder to ask for my money back, nor did I want to dispute that charge via credit card company, because those clinics will do whatever it takes to report you and sabotage your credit score. Anyway, I considered the money spent as a lesson learned to find out another lousy clinic out there, will never go back again of course. Dr. Zikria is a nice guy, but his medical qualification is very average, definitely NOT someone who can tell you right away what your problem is, or treat you immediately. Of course, he wants to make sure you come back multiple times, so clinic is happy to claim insurance money. read more

Oh why didn't I read Yelp before I purchased the micro dermabrasion treatment offer from Groupon. Had I done so, I would not have made the purchase. Lesson learned. (Kick). I actually forgot all about this. When I remembered, it was the day after experation. I called the office and encountered the rude receptionist I see other Yelpers referring to. She said once the offer expires, that's it. So you do not refund any money? No. In reality, who wants to have something done in a dirty office anyway? eewww. It is unethical to take money from someone and not perform a service or offer anything as an alternative under the circumstances. So, I am out $59.00. I agree, a negative star is due here. I had 6 sessions for laser for my upper lips here. Hair doesnt go completely away but I'd say it reduced the hair on my upper lips about 70%. Also previous to the sessions the hair on my upper lips came very thick and I've noticed the hair also thinned a little too. Overall, good experience here. read more

From reading Dr. Zikria's reviews, it looks like there's a pattern here. I too purchased botox injections from Groupon. I had a horrible experience. The injections were extremely painful and my forehead ached for quite some time afterward. I have had botox before and never experienced such a reation. It gets worse...weeks went by and I had absolutely NO RESULTS. I contacted the office and they first tried to say it was my fault; that I must be immune to botox. Later during the conversation it came out that they may have gotten a bad batch and they would "look into it" and get back to me. That never happened and I repeatly tried getting in touch with the office manager to resolve the issue to no avail. DO NOT GO HERE! POOR SERVICES AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS! read more

I got tattoo removal here with a Groupon. He did a pretty good job but he is always late. I have gone for six sessions and every time I have waiting a minimum of 40 minutes. My last appointment I decided to book the first appointment of the day thinking I wouldn't have to wait. I showed-up and the Dr. wasn't even in the office. He strolled in forty minutes late with no apologies. Also, during these Covid times he did not use gloves or sanitize the cap that he used for the laser. The only reason why I'm giving him two stars instead of one is because of the price and my very simple procedure was done correctly. Dr. Zikria has been my doctor for about 17 years. Throughout those years he has been the ONLY doctor that I have continued to see and not gone off to find another doctor for better care. I can't say enough good about him! He has delivered 2 of my children and has been the one to do a couple of major surgeries. Not sure if I'm the only one but his staff (Myra & Billy) will NEVER return your calls. I called them numerous times & everytime she says she will call me back, she never does & I would have to call & follow up again & again only for them to say they will look into something & call me back but never does. This review is long and long overdue! We moved to California from Michigan in June 2016. Before my husband and I talked about marriage earlier that year, we discussed our desire to be parents together. When he proposed and got married a week later (Feb. 2016), I immediately contacted an IVF specialist in California hoping to schedule an appt. six months in advance, thinking that we could get started as soon as we moved here in June 2016. I was devastated when they told me that I would be waitlisted for a year. At the age of 40, my clock was ticking louder than anything else that I could hear. We decided to get on the waitlist but would see a different specialist in the meantime. They also had a waitlist, but shorter, so we were able to see that doctor in September 2016. After testing, the doctor refused to treat me because of my results; his response, "I'll only treat you with donor eggs, due to your age, the likelihood of success is very slim." Not the news we wanted to hear, of course, but we decided to patiently wait for the initial doctor. At the age of 41, we got the call in January of 2017 to come in for our appointment, finally! I had a series of testing and this doctor initially said the same thing as the doctor we saw in September. However, he was willing to try his most aggressive protocol. We started a protocol in February of 2017, and after thousands of dollars in meds, the doctor canceled my protocol because my body didn't respond to the treatment. At that point, I was at the lowest point I had ever been in my life. Here I am with the most amazing human that I've ever met, but I couldn't honor his desire to become a father. We had one last option, in May 2017 we decided to conceive "the old-fashioned way". We made an appt. with Dr. Zikria to reverse my tubal. When I met Dr. Zikria, I was 41. We were hoping to get the records from my tubal ligation from 2003, but I was not able to obtain them, nor could I even the remember the method used (tie/cut/combo). Dr. Zikria was very honest, gentle, and compassionate during our consultation, the surgery, and my post-op visit. Dr. Zikria agreed to perform the surgery but made no promises. He was upfront and told me that there was a chance that he would open me up and find that there was nothing that he could do. There was also a slim chance that he could restore the tubes, but that was no guarantee for conception. On 7/12/17, I went in for surgery, when we got home, my husband told me that Dr. Zikria wasn't optimistic because my tubes were so short from the previous surgery. The surgery took longer than he initially estimated, and I can remember, even in my drugged state in recovery, Dr. Zikria came out looking like he had gone to battle! Whatever happened in that operating room was nothing short of a miracle. During my post-op visit a couple of weeks later, the doctor gave us the green light to start trying in September. Well we got the big, fat positive in December 2017 and at the age of 42, we are scheduled to be induced on 8/20/18; we are now 30 days away from meeting our miracle, our Blessing, our Baby Girl. From my initial phone call to his office and for each subsequent visit, I was greeted with care by each of the staff members; I cannot speak highly enough about his staff. The pending birth of our child is not possible without Dr. Zikria. There are no words to describe how grateful I am for Dr. Zikria and for his willingness to look at me beyond my lab results. read more

Do not get cosmetic surgery with Dr. Zikria. I was a client of theirs and had some cosmetic surgery done. regret it. You get what you pay for that's why their prices are as low as they are. They are a friendly staff but not professional in their manner and cosmetic surgery. I had a revision with Dr. Kludt my new surgeon due to one of the pockets that was made for my breast implant having been cut open too far to the left causing my implant to sit further to the left. I consulted it with Dr. Zikria before reaching out to another surgeon, but he was negligent about his work and my concerns. I recommend you do research and invest in a good board certified plastic surgeon who may be pricier, but worth it in the end. I'm reading all of these negative reviews and I'm thinking....seriously?! He's been my doctor for many years. He has treated my PCOS, delivered my kids (saved me from having a c-section with #2 and #3 was high risk), and along the way has proven to me that he is the most upstanding man. He's just good damned people. He's not going to rush you, he's patient and listens and if you're like me - and you have a long standing relationship with him - he's going to tell you as it is. Which I REALLY appreciate, but he knows that's what I expect. The TRUTH. I have such a huge amount of respect for him as a man and as a doctor. He pays attention to what I have to say and knows that I'm not a hypochondriac - however if I go in for something stupid - he'll chuckle at me as he's letting me know it's all OK and there's really nothing to be concerned with. I LOVE that! How can you not love having a good relationship with your OB/GYN?! The last appointment I had, I'm sitting in the waiting room and he comes out to greet the husband of another patient. Really?! Who's going to whine about having to wait a minute when you see your doctor giving the husband of a very pregnant woman time as well. It's his first kid too - doesn't he deserve time even though he's not in the exam room with her? Right on Dr. Zikria! Heck, if anything has ever been suggested to me by another doctor, I get his opinion just to make sure. He's done my tubal, hysterectomy, tummy tuck, lipo, if you can find a BETTER doctor - dare ya! I'm not the easiest of patients and he meets me where I need him to be. When my 17 year old daughter was sick and nobody else could figure it out, I took her to him. She and I were in the room waiting on him and when he walked in I told him - FIX HER! He ran every test that correlated to her symptoms. We figured it out and THEN he got her into HIS doctor for followup. You seriously can say whatever you want. Go ahead, stay away, that means I won't have to wait so long to get an appointment with him. But really? If you are planning to get pregnant, already pregnant, or trying to conceive, Dr Zikria is exactly where you want to be. If you have PCOS? Dude can work wonders! If you are looking for lipo or a tummy tuck, orrr even a little boost around the eyes....OMG! He does it so well that even though there's a difference, it isn't obvious and I'd kinda put him in the category of being artistic with it. After the birth of my daughter he did my tubal. I had had so many surgeries through my belly button over the years by other doctors that I no longer had a belly button but a big scar. When I woke up....guess what he did for me? That's right - I had a belly button again. I mean it was PERFECT! Oh - my tummy tuck? LOVE IT! I have come to believe that EVERY woman should get a voucher for a tummy AFTER she delivers her last child. What absolutely astounds me - how can a logical, intelligent person that has seen mediocre doctors even say he's anything but stellar? Yes, his office is small(ish). Yes, there is a skin care practice sharing space. Yes, there have been a few receptionists, but ya know what? Who cares?! By walking through his door you have a GOOD MAN that is a professional medical provider to care for you. He's human first. THAT'S who I want taking care of myself and my daughter. A human is going to treat you like the human that you are. So in conclusion......go ahead, whine and get pissed because that sense of entitlement and not being treated like a princess because you bought a groupon and thought you were treating yourself to a spa day. Go across town and enter the doors of some doctor that will give you the botox that you so desire and then rush you out on your way - - - but not before asking for another appointment and explaining to you how you NEED to come back and pointing every tiny flaw that you hadn't even noticed yet making you even more self-conscious - I've been to those as well.
