Loved that they had some snacks and drinks provided - such a nice touch, though we did bring our own since it was a birthday celebration. The cruise itself was great, gave us options of how we wanted it to go, and let us out to swim for a little. The wind wasn't in our favor so no full sailing BUT the weather was great and we were still plenty happy cruising on the water - even got a little extra time on the end. They were honestly great overall, checking in on us during the cruise from time to time while also just letting us be to enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend and would book again!

Jonas and Greg were the most hospitable hosts that made us a beautiful charcuterie tray for 6 people. Fresh cheeses, meats and fruits. They offered wine but but we decided we didn't need to drink. The ride to the Skyway Bridge was beautiful and the water and weather were all working in our favor. It was a relaxing ride and we saw a couple of pods of Dolphins. We felt we could reach out and touch them. As we got to the skyway and turned towards shore, the captain asked if we would like to sail, which we did for a while. It was spectacular. The catamaran was beautiful, clean, comfy and cozy. We were briefed on where to find the lifejackets and there was a small raft on the aft. I cannot say enough about this truly wonderful crew and Boat "Sweet Escape ". I highly recommend and will use them again! Thank you guys for a truly amazing time. My family was blown away.

I was very pleased with how well Captain Randy communicated and provided additional insight. Upon closer to the time for our day I had a follow up conversation with Cassie who provided even more information that brought comfort not only to me but my guests as well. They provided a cooler with ice and water as well as numerous floats and shelling bags. The whole experience was relaxing and refreshing. Our captain for the day was Jordan and she was Spectacular with keeping us on time and showing us around. We did a 4 hour boat tour but were able to have time on the slide and visit two islands. Our captain navigated us well and took us to the best spots to see dolphins and a nice quiet private beach. Then he showed us the perfect spot to stop and take a ride on the slide. Wow!!! What a day with Sliprock Charters and Captain Phil! We (my daughter and I) booked an 8…read morehour charter. Besides Capt. Phil just being a hardworking, knowledgeable, and fun guy to be around... it was such a great day chasing multiple species of fish. We started the day chasing Tarpon. We had 2 tarpon hookups but couldn't seal the deal. I fought one that jumped 7 or 8 times but broke me off in the end. What a rush!!! Then my daughter had a shark break her off at the back of the boat. We moved spots and caught a 4.5 foot Black Tip Shark! What a battle! We also caught our limit on Mangrove Snappers and caught some Red Fish to finish out the day. Besides all the fish we caught, we saw alot of the wildlife that Florida has to offer while out fishing today. We saw a manatee, sea turtles, so many dolphins, a 7-8 foot hammerhead shark that swam right under the back corner of the boat. Also, the dolphins ate a couple of the fish that we released! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…read more My wife and I were in town on vacation and wanted to get out onto the water. However, we did not want to go with a large group or spend a lot of money. I came across Charter Finders and saw they were veteran owned. I contacted them via telephone, they answered all of my questions, and were extremely polite. They offer a discount for veterans and first responders which was nice and was a draw for us. We knew we were likely in good hands. The boat leaves from Sea Dog Brewery which was great for grabbing drinks to go and bring with! They make a good seltzer FYI. Dean and Tim had a cooler with ice on board where you could throw your own booze. There were only 6 other people on board and it made for a much better experience. We made friends and just sat back and relaxed. We were able to see dolphins up close on the way to shell key island and back. (See attached photo) Once we were at shell key advice was provided as to where to find shells. Some of us had high success. We were unable to snorkel due to visibility. The island is beautiful and not populated. The trip was roughly 3 hours long, but they were nice enough to extend it an hour so we got very very lucky. We highly recommend Dean & Tim and cannot wait to go again in the future.

However, the boat itself was older and showed quite a bit of wear and tear. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the experience overall. Our kids were especially excited about snorkeling and finding seas shells but when we arrived at Shell Key island, it was so crowded that the boat wasn't able to dock anywhere. The captain took us to a different location, but the snorkeling there was very poor, and we were only able to stay about 45 minutes because our time was almost up. Overall, the trip did not meet our expectations. I wish I would have done a little more research and booked with a different company.

Friendly and warm, they knew a lot about the area and willingly shared with us during the ride. This is also a very safe boat, I've been on many charters and believe it or not this is the first one that took the time to go over a safety briefing to let us know where the lifejackets are kept on the boat and also review their policies. We will definitely consider them for next charter. We'll done!
