Anna Maria Oyster Bar on Bridge Street Pier
Michael S.

Fantastic day outing from Riverwalk Pier to Bridge Street Pier. We went on a Sunday late morning, had a great lunch at Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the pier and then returned. Ride was comfortable with a beautiful view of the shoreline. Crew was accommodating and fun. Highly recommend for a fun day outing.

The only thing I regret is that we didn't have more time on the island. if you're thinking about enjoying this incredible experience, I would definitely consider taking the early cruise over. this way you can come back with a full set of teeth! Arrived around Egmont Key around 11:15am or so. We had to be back on the boat by 2:15pm for a 2:30pm departure to arrive back to Ft De Soto by 3pm. The boat was $30 per person. The park entrance fee is $5. Worth the trip and money. Leave early and allow plenty of time for traffic The boat offers covered seating and a galley on board selling snacks, soda, and water. Definitely pack snacks and food. We didn't thinking we wouldn't want or need it but regretted it. I brought 2 40oz water bottles, which was enough for me. Wear beach clothing with a bathing suit and cover-up. Bring sun protection too. If you don't want to buy food, drink and snacks on board be sure to pack a small cooler.

Dalton provided expert commentary about the area, even pointing out a few celebrity homes and yachts along the way. It was a gorgeous ride over to Shell Key, and we even saw a few dolphins along the way. Once on the island, we had about 45-50 minutes to explore the beaches and do a little snorkeling and shell-hunting. The island is aptly named, with rows and piles of shells along its white, sandy beaches. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. Soon enough we were back on board and heading back to the harbor. And that's when the magic happened: dolphins! Following along in our wake, and no doubt attracted to the enthusiastic squeals of one of our dolphin-loving fellow passengers, the dolphins put on quite a show. Even Dalton, who I assume sees a LOT of dolphins, was impressed by how long they followed in our wake and performed jumps and flips for us. It was truly one of the most remarkable experiences of my life! Thank you Dalton and Island Ferry for an amazing and memorable tour and one of the true highlights of our vacation!

Groups are small and the boats are very comfortable. They use pontoon boats so you have shade, which I definitely appreciated. The beach they took us to to snorkeling was gorgeous.

They drop and pick up right outside Coachman Park on the dock. Super convenient, the guys driving and confirming tickets were very nice. You can go standby as long as there are open seats. You can buy in advance online - suggested... but it is not quite up to date... the website is also a bit finicky. Not sure how reliable all the info/details are yet... They are just getting started but I'm not sure if that means it's brand new for that location or just for the 2023 season. We ended up just paying cash and the pricing was different online than what we were charged in person. Last ferry from Coachman Park back to Dunedin during the week is at 9:30 pm...if you're there for a show you might miss the boat! I'm not sure about weekends but I'll be using it again on a Saturday soon so I'll update my review if there's more to report. But definitely choose this and the Jolley Trolley over other options when possible. It's cheaper and more fun!

We were picked up right next to Coachman Park Marina, rode over to the Clearwater Beach marina, and back, just went for a fun short trip. The price is right for families, kids, everyone! Much better than trying to find parking on Clearwater Beach, save your money and the hassle, and ride the Ferry! Captain Ralph and First Mate Alex were professional, friendly and full of amazing local tidbits throughout our ride, describing locations as we putted along the intracoastal. The boat was comfortable, the ride was serene, the scenery unmatched, and Capt. Ralph and F.M. Alex could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend for families, kids will love this!

There were 8 of us in the boat, but I think it may have been possible to have a couple more. After checking in at the food shack Captain Brian directed us to the boat that was waiting for us in the river. We purchased our tickets online and we also had waivers to sign before we even got there. Captain Brian pointed out points of interest as we sailed down the river. My favorite part was "bird island". Hundreds of birds..... big ones, little ones, colorful ones, and noisy ones. It was so neat. Once we got back to the landing we spent the remainder of our tour waiting for the sun to go down. It was beautiful. We also saw a few alligators. None seemed to be very big, but who knows what the water was hiding. Captain Brian was disappointed that there weren't more gators for us to see, but he figured they were all off elsewhere looking for "love" as it is now mating season. I would definitely recommend this tour.
