There was some music playing like italian music, and our gondolier even sang a song for us. I wish this little gondola ride lasted longer because it was quite perfect. Fishing: plenty of structure and you can expect to catch mangrove snappers, sheepshead, sharks, lady fish and your standard pier baitfish. Decent current that flows under the ringling overpass. The bait shop live shrimp was decently priced and the convenience of proximity is worth noting. If it's low tide you can head down to the oyster bed and pick some mud crabs and mangrove crabs for bait. 2. Waterfront playground: Super clean and padded playground area. Plenty of benches to watch the sunset. I believe some adults also try to use a section for exercise. Peaceful ambience to enjoy the outdoors and then head in to the bait shop for some ice cream for the kiddos.
