BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This was the most expensive and worst experance that I had for purchasing a car. I found a car for my 16 year old son and asked for a few things to be repaired. The dealership agreed to the repairs. I had to continuously call the dealership to see when it was ready. Not one employee from the dealership tried to contact me during this time. I had the same answer everytime "waitng on a part be ready in a few days". Three weeks later I was able to pick up the car. The works was done, but not what I would call quality work. I had to go back and fix a few thing they were to handle. We had the car for a few days when we sharted to see some issues. I took it to a shop and a few thousdand dollors later the car was running. I was not expecting to have to spend that much more on repairs. Now we have the car for about 2 weeks and trouble again. The transmission went out!!! I do not have state tags yet and still on the 1st tank of gas. AND A CAR THAT DOES NOT WORK!! I called the dealership to ask what they can do to fix this. The response was to bring the car to the to look at. The car does not drive!! I asked several times if they are going to repair the car and they would not answer the question. I tried sever times to call the manager, even left my name and number to call me. No call back, I had to go to the dealership ahd get the manager. I explained the issue with him. In short they are not going to do anything. I was told it's your problem now. As stated on there website "At Gulliver Auto Group, we specialized in offerong reliable, high-quality Japanese vechles." I did not get a quality car. The manager at the dealership even told me that that car is know to have transmission issues, just before he said it was my problem. You knew that this car has transmission issues and this dealership still sold it to me and didn't mention it. With the amount I have already spent and more to spend on the car, I could have bought my son a better quality car. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a vehicle. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I made the huge mistake of not reading all reviews of this place and am now suffering the very expensive consequences. I live in Oklahoma and had to (understandably) wait about a week for the car to be delivered, but while I was waiting I was told the car was being detailed and getting new tires. How nice! The detailing most definitely did not happen as I immediately noticed grime in crevices that would not have been difficult to remove and a penny stuck on the vent in the backseat that was not lodged in anything; it was stuck in something sticky. Should have been my first red flag. Mind you I had not even started the engine at this point. Cut to 3 or 4 hours of possession later and after only having driven the car less than 30 miles at low speeds and for no more than 2.5 hours while doing errands, the check engine light comes on. (You see, the nice thing about this car is that I can see exactly how, when, and where this car is being driven as there is an app that keeps track of everything.) The dealership was immediately notified. They acted concerned, but were not helpful. I then drove it the next day only to have white billowing smoke that smelled like burnt rubber and tar coming from the tailpipe. The dealership was notified the next morning about the issue and said the car had a blocked O2 sensor. The car was taken to a mechanic for the first time 3 days after it was received. After the mechanic inspected and was replacing the O2 sensor, it was discovered the Catalytic Converter was bad and needed to be replaced. The dealership was notified and responded, "That is why you bought the warranty," the Catalytic Converter was not covered in the warranty. This is the last help the dealership would give and covered the cost of a new converter, not the labor. It was replaced and the car was returned a week later repaired. After another few days and about 100 miles, the check engine light came back on and had to be returned to the shop. A smoke test was performed, and the car had a bad gas cap. After that replacement, the car was returned. Again, after less than 100 miles, the check engine light came back on. Again, another trip to the repair shop, complete with another repair. The check engine light returned again within a few days, and this time it was taken to a specialist for a complete inspection. Another repair. The car was returned, and the light came on again for another repair. We have had the car at this point for 1.5 months, and it has been in the repair shop for 3/4 of the time. A total of 10 (partial) days that this vehicle has been able to be driven because every time it reaches 75-100 miles driven, the engine light comes on. When the dealership is notified of problems, their manager's response is always, "Oh, well. Sorry about that. These things can happen. That is why you get a warranty." Mind you, the warranty does not cover most of the problems because the codes indicate preexisting issues. I asked if they fixed the issues at the dealership or just cleared codes? The manager's response: "Well, you can't prove that." I said I will be notifying the Texas DMV, and the response was, "Don't threaten us! You have no proof we ever had any codes come up when the car was here." And can you guess where the car is as of this review posting? The repair shop, of course! I sincerely hope they lose so much business and money because of this review because they have cost us so much money and time. They are the least sympathetic company I have ever dealt with and definitely live up to the stereotype of the scummy car salesman. You'd be better off setting your money on fire than to spend a dime here. ETA: I really don't think they put new/good tires on this car either, because they will not retain air. Because of this, I'm now left driving a car that technically puts me at risk of being ticketed, fined, or even impounded if I'm stopped by law enforcement. It's not just my risk either -- my lienholder's interest in the vehicle may not even be properly recorded if the dealer never filed the paperwork. I've had to spend time contacting the Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, the Texas DMV Enforcement Division, and even notifying my bank just to make sure my vehicle is legally registered. None of that should ever fall on a buyer, yet Gulliver made it my problem. Every day without registration has cost me time, stress, and money. A dealership's most basic responsibility after a sale is to process the title and registration properly. Gulliver failed at this, then offered nothing in terms of accountability or resolution. Yes, the car itself has been fine so far, and Marc in financing did his job well -- but those are the only highlights. Everything else about this process has been sloppy, unprofessional, and unnecessarily stressful. To future buyers: beware. If you do business here, don't expect professionalism, don't expect accountability, and don't assume the registration will be handled properly. buyers beware. do not buy a car from here. i repeat do not buy a car here. they are shady. my veteran husband who just recently passed away before christmas. and i just moved back here, about to start my new job and in need of a car for work. i came here to gulliver dealership thinking i can trust them. i bought a car from here, as i drove off half way home the check engine light came on. i called them right away and told them about it. they say to come back. the next day the headlights went out. drive 50 minutes back up to them so they can fix. they only could fix the headlight and would call me about the car part and never did. i call back the next day and they just send me around in circles, sendding me to one person to another. i would call from the time they open to the time they closed. everyone i talked to said they will call me back but never will. a few days later my car would not even start! it went from a simple part to whole car not starting. i got it to start to drive it up here to them. drop it off on thursday and its now friday. playing phone tag. no one want to call me back. i have to borrow a car to drive up here to talk to them in person. and what i got from them is oh well. and want me to put out more money to fix the car that should of been good before i bought it in a first place. don't trust anything these people tell you. better yet don't buy a car from here. tell you love ones, all your friends and family! their not honest people. they just take your money and whatever happens after its your problem. read more

The car they sold me turned out to have severe structural damage. AutoCheck flagged it clearly, but the dealership chose to hide behind a "clean" Carfax, all access to Autthat showed zero accidents. That is not a mistake. That is deception. I paid thousands of dollars too much for a car with a damaged frame. When I raised my concerns, management's response was horrible. They were dismissive, unprofessional, and refused to take responsibility for what they had sold me. To be certain, I paid out of pocket for a professional third-party frame scan and it confirmed the severe structural damage beyond any doubt. I have already reported Gulliver to the Texas DMV. **Buyer Beware** - Purchased a 2017 Infiniti QX80 that had a blown left rear shock. I worked with Mark as the salesman and had asked him if everything worked as it should. I was told yes, no issues with the vehicle at all. I ended up spending an additional $1600 to replace both rear shocks with Infinity shocks and that was with a discount on purchasing the shocks. The Infiniti shocks are over $1000 each if bought from a dealer. No reimbursement from Gulliver Auto Group. They will lie to you to sell you a vehicle. You are better off buying a vehicle from a dealership that offers some type of 30 day warranty then buying a vehicle from Gulliver Auto Group. read more
