Great service and great accommodations! The grounds are quiet with a nice pool and plenty of parking. The staff were relaxed and helpful. Clean and modern units include a full kitchen that we used to cook tasty meals after we got tired of over priced burgers and fries at the beach restaurants. It's a short walk across the beach to the water and great sunset views. Highly recommended!

After what could have been a disastrous weekend (check out previous review regarding Pier View) Gullwing came into save the day. The girl at the front desk was so accommodating with our last minute room reservation on a very busy memorial day weekend. She helped us secure a room here and at their sister resort Diamond Head. Gullwing is a nice condominium property. We had a large 2 bedroom condo with a wrap around balcony that gave us both island/ beachviews. Everything was very clean and very homey. I would absolutely stay here again. I am not giving this 5 stars as there is no restaurant or bar on the property. There is a snack bar by the pool and some grills downstairs for your use. You have direct access to the beach as well.

Great family gathering at reasonable prices. 2bed/2bath condos - full large kitchen & spacious living & dining area. Large master suite w/ jacuzzi tub. Down side -No daily room service or maids or conceirge but friendly staff & clean. Elevators small & take long. Beach is a bit of a walk. All in all a good family get away. Publix around the corner & great restaurant in same plaza called Bayfront bistro

My wife and I stayed at GullWing from April 28th to May 2nd. We couldn't have been happier. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was great. Easy to and from the airport. It is right on the beach which is exactly what we wanted. We had a view of the ocean from our balcony. It was between 91 and 96 degrees while we were there and the air conditioning worked great. The bed was very comfortable. The showers were good, but could be a little stronger. The kitchen had everything you would need. One really nice amenity was the gas grills that you can use down by the pool. The unit was spacious. I would highly recommend this property for your next stay in the Fort Myers area.

Absolutely love this hotel. This was our first time back since hurricane ian. The service we…read morereceived from front desk and most staff was amazing. The managers were so attentive and every time we passed by checked in on us to see what activities we had done or suggest new activities for us to do. We loved the kayaking and paddle boards - also rented jet skis 2 separate days. Getting day passes for additional guests was super easy. Love the ease of the bracelets doing everything, being the key, room charge, proof we belong - super easy for everyone to keep track Of! The complimentary breakfast was "ok" nothing spectacular, but still decent. The guy who collected the towels by the pool (seemed like a manager/lead) was rude every single day - to the point we waited to take our towels back a few times to avoid another interaction. We will definitely be back!

The entire area was clean, right on the beach, and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The resort offers a ton of amenities: free kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. They also have paid options like fishing charters and other nearby excursions. There are three pools total -- two family pools and one adults‑only pool -- plus a couple of hot tubs. Our room was amazing. We were on the first floor with a perfect view of the beach. The adults‑only pool was right in front of our balcony, so we could relax, listen to the music, or join the trivia games happening throughout the day. The room itself was spacious and included a kitchenette with a stove, which made it easy to cook if we wanted to. You can stay busy here or do absolutely nothing -- we chose the "chill" route. There are two restaurants and a bar on the property, but if you want more options, you can walk about 15-30 minutes (rough estimate) or drive 2 mins (fyi paid parking) to the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants. The front desk also told us about a trolley that runs for $0.75 each way or $2.00 for an all‑day pass. Everything was close by, we didn't get in our car until it was time to head home. We'll definitely be coming back. It's a little on the pricier side, but with everything included -- and probably more that I'm forgetting -- it's absolutely worth it.

Someone else noted on here that they always open the lobby doors for you, which is a nice touch. They also offered me a bottle of water or champagne, I believe it was, upon check-in, I did see the champagne and figured it was for people with status, but I guess not! -Lovely rooms with lots of space, I received one with two queen beds, even though I was just by myself. I also had a partial view of the pool. I ended up going to a lot of the rooms this trip because that's where my meetings were, and one of them had a really nice pool view and sitting area so that must've been a suite. -Pretty nice pool area. I walked around it my first night here and I finally got to use it on my third night. Do note that the lazy river area and waterslides all close at 6 PM, which made it difficult as my meetings usually went until five or 6 PM. There are maybe 5 pools including an adults pool (ages 17+). -Meeting spaces were all very nice but kinda spread apart ... a bit of a walk sometimes. CONS: -The shower in my room had very weak water pressure, I think because the knob that you turned to get it from bath to shower was not functioning correctly. (however: the bath tub was very nice ... one picky thing, though, the shampoo and conditioner and body wash are mounted on the wall so that's really difficult to use if you're taking a bath...) -You definitely need a car to get around (or Uber). I did DoorDash 2 of the 3 nights because of this. -On my last night doing DoorDash, the restaurant I ordered from didn't give me any utensils. I called the hotel restaurant to see if they could bring me some, and they said yes, but never did ... rather disappointing. This property was probably 4.5/5 from me so I'm rounding up to a 5, and I'd definitely stay here again. I'm pretty sure our conference rate was really reasonable as well, I believe it was $179 per night before taxes.

They were so respectful of the guests and kept our tables immaculately cleared. Access to the island by boat was a surprise and thoroughly enjoyable. Plus, the captain and boat crew were focused on ensuring patrons had a positive experience by slowing for bird and dolphin sightings and their willingness to take family pictures. In addition, our room was incredible with three balconies and two amazing views. The gym was also nice; all the machines were clean and working, plus it was well equipped. For such a fancy hotel, I was quite surprised there was nowhere to find water. I expected a fruity water station somewhere near the entry, a standard in high-end hotels today. I was also surprised the concierge could not provide a running map. Even with the local construction, the path right out the front door is nice and separated from traffic. I found the run to Target (for a cool coffee drink) was perfect for a 5-miler. Surely the 10-mile option would include even more treats. Having the front doors opened every time anyone approached the front of the hotel was a nice touch.

Mike…read moretook all of our bags and showed us up to a smooth check-in process that included complimentary drinks. He got us and our friends off to our rooms quickly and as we saw him around the grounds the rest of the week was always cheerful and a joy to chat with. We got a Cabana for two days, and Melissa was our assigned waitress on day one. Simply stellar. She kept checking up on us, provided great advice on what to do, and our group of 14 couldn't have had a better time. Scott helped us out on day two when our assigned waiter for the cabana (who I won't name) was a little too much on the younger side to be able to be as attentive and simply had a hard time making the connection that Melissa and Scott did. Melissa and Scott had water shoes, and were not afraid of coming right up to us when we were on the edge of the pool, as it was no deal to get their shoes wet. We WILL be back; we WILL ask for Melissa and Scott. Otherwise, in the resort, it was extremely clean and the atmosphere was spot-on. The coffee shop next to the pedestrian bridge to the pool from the main hotel helped with the bender hangovers, and the staff there were very nice. The lobby on the second floor was nice, as the parking and utilities for the hotel are on the hurricane-flood-prone ground floor. There was night entertainment out on the promenade, and I was grateful that we had a room on the outside of the hotel not overlooking the promenade, but I noticed by 1030pm, the loud music was gone. Good balance between partying and letting us drunks sleep. Great party hotel. Great DJ earlier in the day. The couple who sang and played music in the DJ Cabana also were great. The later-in-the-day DJ was less impressive; he hesitated to play some of the songs we requested. The location was central to many dining and entertainment options. The shop in the lobby had some essentials we forgot as well. If there is any critique; continue to focus on making sure the younger wait staff have no problems with old-fashioned effective communication and making time to check back in plenty of times throughout the day, especially if the cost of the drinks is as high as it is. I have no problem paying for it if the wait staff are as attentive as Melissa and Scott.

Our family was excited to experience the new Margaritaville in Fort Myers Beach. We are Floridians,…read morefrom the other coast, and we have always enjoyed FMB, which is only a few hours away. Upon arriving, we were told that a luggage cart was only available through a bellhop service. They only offer valet, as a side note. When we checked in, we did receive a complimentary margarita, but no smiles or warmth. This carried on throughout the weekend; none of the staff seemed pleased to be there, and only one of them even smiled back or said hello. The room was clean and new, and the theming is on point. It is a beautiful place and as a PH, I truly enjoyed the music and the decor. Everything is so Margaritaville -- colors, music, theme. All 10/10. When it came to restaurant staff, we had the opposite experience and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time at the downstairs bar and at the JWB, which is more of an upscale dining experience with a beautiful view of the beach. The pool does not open until 9am, but we brought our own tent and chairs because we were researched and knew that the public beach is right next to the resort. This was the best move we could have made! Highly recommend if you're driving and can bring your own beach supplies. I do believe that you can have a complimentary umbrella and 2 chairs as an overnight guest, but we were pleased to be able to have our own space. The other thing worth mentioning is that you cannot bring food or drink into the pool area -- not even from their own restaurant/bar. I purchased lunch from the downstairs restaurant and as I was waiting to bring it to the beach, I was told that I could not bring my drink into the pool area right next door. It's all one resort, and organization, but I assume they are worried about people bringing their own cocktails in the cups they provide. There should be an option to show your receipt or at least people should be aware of that before they spend $15 plus on a drink at a POOL/ BEACH BAR. I would say that we had a great experience because we were with family and the beach is stunning regardless of where you stay. The weather in July is touch and go, so we were blessed with mostly clear days. Would I recommend a stay here? No. I think that there are many other places with the same view and a similar experience, and we felt like we were charged for every little thing, plus the unfriendly staff. Even as we were checking out and making several trips to our vehicle, housekeeping kept trying to enter our room (before check out) no matter how many times I explained we were still working on moving out.

It was noticeably quieter, the pool felt cleaner, and there was much less hustle and bustle. The room itself was comfortable and met my expectations. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the view was enjoyable. One word of caution: the shower can get pretty slippery, so be careful. The resort offers a complimentary welcome drink, but I wouldn't really call it complimentary since there's a mandatory $35 daily resort fee that covers various amenities, many of which you may not even use. I also don't drink alcohol, so it wasn't much of a perk for me. I did take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of equipment, the treadmills worked well, and they provided complimentary towels, water, and even apples. My only criticism is that the gym could use a more thorough cleaning. One thing to know before booking is that this resort doesn't have a beach. That wasn't a dealbreaker for me because the pool was very nice. My mother and I drove to Sanibel Beach, which was only about 10-15 minutes away. However, parking was difficult to find, it costs $5 per hour, and the mosquitoes were relentless. Unless you're set on visiting the island, I'd recommend relaxing at the resort instead. The elevators worked well, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Overall, there wasn't anything particularly spectacular about this resort, but it provided a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July getaway for my family. I would recommend it to others. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay here again, although I wouldn't hesitate if it were my only option.

It's just an unfortunate event but did waste a good part of our first day towel drying the floor and carpet. The front desk offered to dry vac it but we opted against it since we'd already got most of it blotted up. The front desk does a towel exchange for the pool towels which eliminates the nuisance of drying towels from the pool. We really enjoyed the grills and lovely landscaping. We struck up a conversation, and she thanked me for my patience while waiting in line. Since I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member, I asked if there happened to be any upgrades available. She smiled and said she had found one for me. I thanked her, headed upstairs, and opened the doors to what I can only describe as the most incredible hotel suite I have ever seen. I knew something was different the moment I saw the double entry doors. Inside was an immaculate, magnificent suite featuring a spacious living room, a luxurious master bedroom, a second bedroom, spacious living room and **three bathrooms**, with breathtaking views overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the beach, and the pool from multiple balconies. The master bathroom alone was larger than many standard hotel rooms and even featured its own Toto toilet. Every detail reflected luxury, from the remote-controlled drapes and sheers to every toiletry imaginable, and even a thoughtfully stocked minibar featuring Macallan 12. I was so stunned that I immediately Face Timed my wife to show her the suite. Her reaction? *"You have to come get me."* I had driven two hours from home to attend a conference and had expected nothing more than a beautiful room with a king-size bed. Instead, I found myself in what felt like a private luxury residence. So, I got back in my car, drove the two hours home, picked up my wife and daughter, and then drove the two hours back to Naples--all so they could experience this extraordinary suite with me. It was absolutely worth every mile. I've been staying in hotels for more than 50 years, and without question, this is the finest hotel room I have ever experienced.
