    Avoid This Property Management Company - Dishonest and Aggressive…read moreI would strongly advise against renting from this property management company. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and ultimately felt like we were being taken advantage of. We were charged $250 for a pipe repair without ever being contacted, consulted, or quoted for the work. When we tried to schedule a meeting to discuss the charge, they refused to meet, ignored our calls, and eventually threatened us with eviction unless we paid. We were forced to pay for something we had no opportunity to approve or dispute. When we moved out, we gave more than 30 days' notice, professionally cleaned the carpets and the home, and even touched up the walls. Despite this, they withheld $2,100 of our security deposit. Their breakdown included: * $300 for drywall repair (not previously mentioned or shown to us) * $1,100 for painting the entire house (even though we left it in great condition) * A charge to replace a lightbulb they falsely claimed was out * $260 for cleaning (even though we had the home professionally cleaned) Throughout the process, this company was unresponsive, evasive, and became aggressive when we questioned the charges. It was clear they had no intention of communicating fairly or ethically. They do not treat tenants with respect and seem to rely on intimidation and avoidance to force compliance. This company took advantage of us and treated us dishonestly. Renters, beware--they will take your money and ignore your concerns.

We rented a beautiful home in Somersett through SIGUA Property Management, and one of the best parts of the entire experience was working with Joey Vincent Pontillas. We also appreciated that our dogs were welcomed. They're part of our family, and it meant so much to be able to rent such a wonderful home without feeling like we had to apologize for having them. Any time something needed attention in the home, Joey was incredibly responsive. Whether it was a repair or a maintenance issue, he made sure someone was there as quickly as possible--often the same day or the very next day. We never felt ignored or like our concerns were put on the back burner. That level of responsiveness is rare, and it made us feel respected as renters. Toward the end of our lease, there was one disagreement that needed to be worked through. Joey handled it with professionalism, clear communication, and a level head. He kept everyone informed, treated both us and the homeowners with respect, and helped bring everything to a resolution that felt fair for everyone involved.     we rented a house on sawyer street from the beginning when we dined our papers they said someone…read morewas going to be fixing the roof I said that's cool someone who cares about there property we asked out of curiosity if they were planning to sell the home they said no so we signed the papers we lived there asked to do anything had to deal wit's a non pleasant old lady reported everything then they paint the house again I have emails asking if they were going to sell the house they said no just wanted to update it we said cool someone who cares we continued to stay stated gardens my kids were happy 5 kids. then they do rock removal in the front lawn again I have emails asking if they we're going to sell they said no had inspecions throughout the time my kids used the garage to hang out with teen friends so not gonna lie it was messy but that was it had a lease inspection renewal tom seen the garage and just said since there is a tv in the garage then it would be a little rent increase we said okay no proble. then a big branch fell on the fence after a really windy day not long after my lease renewal I reported it and still had work and kids and a broken tree to clean up after that so I forgot about filling out my renewal they sent me and because I forgot to send the new lease back that same month then boom we get notice the owner is selling the house and we had 30 days to move so after renewing our lease and not be a good human and reminding me about the lease they used it against me to get me and my kids out instead of just telling me they were selling and it was in progress already I talked to the lady that bout it and moved in not short after I had to leave I had to leave so much stuff behind because they were just looking to get money to sell then to think of people lives I talked to an attorney and she said I had a case but I ultimately decided not to persue I would have lost time at work and lose income and I could not do that with kids I know I can still file but my stuff is gone and I can't get it back just trust your gut if they fix up your property I have emails and the new lease and all there responses to me asking if they were selling didnt get my deposit back because I didn't have time to even figure out where we were going let alone be able to get all my stuff out.

    If I could give them no stars I would. We have rented from them for fifteen months, and have never…read morebeen late. We upgraded things when needed and made repairs when needed. Toward the end of our rental I became severely sick, which was determined to be caused by the black mold in several places in the home. I was not only hit with an ER visit that cost more than our rent, I had to go in for two surgeries as a result. I was unable to work and we were forced to move in a hurry. We spoke with the actual landlord who knew about the issues and told us he understood we had to go, and that he would waive the 30 day notice needed and let us skip the last ten days of rent due for the first two weeks of December. since we would have to come up with first and last at a new place and move houses in a hurry. He called Dickson to let them know what was going on, and that he was okay with it all. Suddenly we started getting eviction notices in email and taped to the door. We were nearly moved out and couldn't believe they were doing this. We talked to the landlord who called Dickson and they told him the eviction stuff was just an automated feature. I asked him how it could be automated that someone drove to the old house to tape a notice to our door? We left the house in better condition than we got it and Dickson wants to keep our whole $5,000 deposit to clean some 92 year old window sills that are dirty no matter what you do, and to patch some picture frame holes in the wall. By the way the actual owner of the home is a builder and always told us to go through him, NOT Dickson for any repairs since he owns a construction company. They communicate poorly, and have the entire time of our tenancy. Do not rent from these people. They are rude, don't respond, and want to steal your deposit. Run. Fast.

    Once again it has been another week. We have left messages and still have not received a call…read moreback. I don't know what to do? PLEASE. PLEASE, PLEASE do not get scammed by these guys. I thought that because Dickson Realty was big in the Reno area I would not have an issue of them NOT EVER giving me a call back. They have called us once, and only when we reached the broker to cancel and they called and begged us to keep them.
