I love these guys. I have several different pieces. This will the ONLY place I purchase or service my defensive or completion platforms. They're friendly, courteous and professional. Their pricing is more than reasonable and better than a lot of other places I've seen. I have a K frame 686 that was missing the grip pin. As such, getting my new wood Hogue grips on was impossible. I had difficulty (I didn't have the right hammer) installing the pin. They not only installed the pin, but the grips as well. They wouldn't take a penny for their time. I should have looked at the reviews of this place prior to having something done over there. I knocked on the door and 2 guys popped their heads up and just stood there like a deer in head lights. There was a security gate at the door, but it was not locked. I honestly did not feel too warm and fuzzy about going in there which I should have listened to. I went against my senses and had them install some glass. $80 seemed high, but oh well. One of the guys told me that if he didn't call me by Saturday to just call him instead. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and got a call Thursday. Upon going back, I knocked on the door and 5 minutes later someone comes to the door and asks me how he could help me. I asked him if they were open, and he said, "Not really." He acted very paranoid which again, did not make me feel warm and fuzzy. Another employee came by to view my rifle and said, "A little overkill on the scope" referring to what I put on my rifle which was recommended by Ruger. My suggestion to the Owner/s is to close shop! I would NEVER bring any firearm to this place let alone buy anything from here. I am taking my rifle to someone who actually knows what they are doing to check out the job they did mounting my scope. I am all for giving my business to my local neighborhood shops, but in this case, that would be a "HARD" "NO WAY!". read more

Knowledgeable gun smith. Generous staff. I inherited a very old 22 colt woodsman and wanted to disassemble to completely clean and oil, but could not find instructions. Took it to Gunrunners and the gun smith happened to be there and took me back into his shop and showed me how to completely disassemble and reassemble and what not to touch. he then test fired the gun. I later returned and purchased some 22 cal. cleaning patches which were a little expensive, but I figured I owed them. I returned a third time in order to purchase cleaning patches for a 38 caliber, but they still were out of stock. So they went out back and looked in their stock room and when they could not find any 38 patches, they came out with an entire box of about 1000 of smaller sized patches and gave the box to me for free, telling me this should hold me over until they get more in stock. So although they may be more expensive then some on-line sites, but nothing beats being able to walk in to a store with a gun and get your questions answered. read more

I bought a S&W M&P AR-15 off of a friend and he picked this sorry excuse of a gun store for the PPT. When I met my friend there to start the paperwork the heavy set guy behind the counter was rude and has absolutely no service skills. It was like we were bothering him by having him do the transfer, he was very short and ignored us when we asked some questions about some other guns they had. Me and my friend looked at each other in amazement that this level of crap service still exists today. I couldn't wait to get the hell out and wait the days needed to pick up the gun. When I came back to pick it up there was another guy working, probably the owner, he was nice but I just wanted to get my rifle and leave. I walked in today and I was wholeheartedly happy with the total experience that I had here especially the service that was given to me by mr. Ray Tekip. I explained to him that I had come from another gun shop just now and they had treated me very rudely and they were very unprofessional. the fact is that I need to purchase a firearm because I am a security officer and I need to work with with one. Immediately when I walked in I was happy to see that this place has tons of different guns to select from including strong arm firearms and rifles as well. I'm telling you this is a kids candy store for firearm adult enthusiasts. They really do have a lot to choose from.. I purchased a rifle from out of state and used gunrunners as my FFL transfer. During my waiting period for my gun to clear my rifle had clear signs of use. Gunrunners also asked that I pay them the tax for the gun which I unknowingly did. It being my first purchase out of state I did not know that there was NO TAX you had to pay to the FFL receiving the transfer. These individuals are thieves. Dishonest, rude, and only out to make a dollar any way they can. I would not give them your business. Look at all the other customers they've cheated and mistreated. read more

I lives in Monrovia and don't even go to the store. I have Colt 22lr rifle and send in for replacing hand guard. Not only they are incapable to do it, but also they damage the bluing on the barrel. This is a creepy store. I've been there bunch of times and I always feel a little creeped out there. The store smells funky, lighting is dim, and there are just old white guys behind the counter staring at their computer screens. The owner is a skinny old white guy with a perv stache and he might be suffering from some health disorder, because he constantly smacks his lips like he's eating something. As for customer service, they aren't rude, but not friendly either. The perv stache man is the one who showed me the guns and he's a pure salesman. He doesn't educate or want to hear about what I'm looking for. He just peddles what he's got on the shelf. Low inventory. Went there to handle some common guns and they didn't have them. I walked in this shop and was checking out what firearms they were selling as the "would-be" sales guy was describing a gun to another customer as " made by white people". I ignored the comment because I wasn't sure what I Thought I heard and I continued looking. Then this ignorant Fukkk says it again describing a different gun to the same customer and adding a " Also made by white people" really emphasizing "White People" . My AR was having issues with the assembly and they fixed it for me free of charge. They helped me register all my guns successfully whereas the guys at gunslingers gave me incorrect information and all my paperwork was denied. I purchase guns from Gallery of Guns lately and have them shipped in state due to the lack of guns in any gun store here in Los Angeles. The first rifle I purchased was fine. The staff was rude and I felt like they didn't want me there. I understand the dictators in Sacramento have made their life tough, but I'm in the same boat as them, why take it out on me. The forms were flung in my direction and a pen was tossed at me. Not aggressive, just rude. 10 days later I picked up the rifle and the older gentleman (not the fat guy) helped me and everything went great. So I had to deal with the jerk the first time, but this was a ton better. So When I purchased my Glock online I went through them again. They are the cheapest bidder in my area on the Gallery of Guns website so I figured I can deal with the jerk two more times. It took a while for the handgun to get shipped (i'm not sure that was their fault). When it did arrive, I went in and filled out the paperwork. Same jerk, same attitude. This guy is all over the place. He is usually doing three things at once while some other fat guy sits by a gun rack and maybe fills out paperwork? He wasn't doing much except for complaining about customers. Whatever, I was saving a few buck and I knew what to expect, so I rolled with it. The problem came when I gave them my credit card and he told me he had to charge a "fee" for that. Really?!?!? I wasn't charged a "fee" a week before. What changed? He couldn't answer me. He charged me $10 and I just accepted it because it was cheaper than sending the gun back (let alone the time it would take to ship to a different store and then have to wait another 10 days). So I just accepted it. One good thing for me, but very bad overall, he didn't have me show him I knew how to safely use the weapon. In ca when you buy a handgun you have to show them you know how to safely handle the gun. Load the magazine with dummy rounds, rack it, clear it, and keep it down range (in a safe direction at all time). He forgot to do this. WHY 2 stars????? Because, if you happen to deal with the thinner old guy, you will LOVE your experience. I watched him while I was waiting to pick up my Glock. He was really good. Nice guy and he took his time with the customers. So if you get him, you will have a great experience. read more

The atmosphere is completely different than what I was expecting. I'm Asian and walked into a shop run by a bunch of older white men. I felt out of place for a bit until we got to talking. The gentlemen are extremely friendly. They have obscure parts like roll pins. I came in to have a look around and once I got to ask about a piece I needed, the gentlemen asked what I needed and why. After I got done explaining, I mentioned I had the gun in my car and he asked me to bring it in to have a look. He gave me compliments on my workmanship and checked in his drawers to see if they had something that would fit. Luckily he did and even installed it. I will definitely head back here for service in the future if I need it. read more

I went to this place a few years ago. It was close so i thought why not try them. Found out the reason why not to use them. I took in my revolver to be cleaned. I specifically ask how much to "disassemble" the gun to check it and clean it. After they supposedly did that and i got my gun home. A day after that as i was handling my gun i saw oil and debris oozing out all over. So if you disassemble a gun and clean it how is it oozing stuff ? And it wasn't just from one place the oil was coming out from. They said they would do one thing and thought they could get by with using a spray to loosen the debris and build-up. As far as gun shops go, this place is pretty good. Good selection of rifles, shotguns, accessories, and ammunition. Generally, not a great selection of handguns or pistols. Good place to do a 'private party' transfer, or to place a gun that you don't want anymore on a consignment sale (they take 20% commission from the final sale price). You should consider consignment if you want to sell a firearm since they take care of all of the paperwork, DROS submission and the gun is displayed in their case for potential buyers to see. The folks at this shop (John and Bruce, among others) are pretty honest to do business with. read more

Had the worst experience with gun runners. Brought in my son's BB gun to have a scope added to the top. 3 months later after calling and calling they finally installed it. After when I brought it home I couldn't open the handle to get the CO2 out. I brought it back down there to see if they could get the handle off. After fidgeting with it they broke it then said that they were super glue installed on the handle and that they did not do that insinuating that I did. the gentleman then told me he does not want to get in a pissing contest with me. To his credit he did say he would order a new handle for me so I asked how long would it take this time because last time took 3 months. His response was I don't give a s*** about last time. so then he told me he can either do it his way or I can walk out the door, guess which one I chose. Bruce is awesome! brought my Glock 22 and XD 9 there for sights installation since I don't have access to sights pusher & didn't want to ruin the slide finish. First I thought I'd have to come back couple days later to pick them up, but Bruce told me to stay put, went in his work area, came out in about 15 minutes and the sights were installed on both of my guns! On top of that, the Glock sights were installed for FREE!! and the XD was only $20. I was very impressed! Went back to buy my 2nd AR lower because I didn't want to be bothered with the transfer fee. I went into gunrunners with the intention of buying one of two used mini-14 rifles being advertised on their website. I walked into the store ad wasn't greeted or anything. Two guys sat behind the counter, one fiddling with a rifle scope and one sitting on his computer. It took about ten minutes for the "can we help you?" question. I asked then if they had the mini-14 available for me to look at. they said "we don't have any" then quickly went back to pretending like they were doing something. honestly even the service at Turners is better than this place. Recently bought a gun from this group at a show - decent service/help from the guys manning the booth at the show. When it was time to pick up from them, went to their store and none of the same people from the show were there. Instead, I walked into a group of old guys sitting around telling each other the same stories over and over and acting like I was interrupting their time!
