I discovered Gunrunners for the first time a couple of days ago when my son, in Colorado, ID'd it as a place which could arrange for transfer of my shotgun to him from California. I was VERY pleased by how easy Bruce at Gunrunners made that process, and when he learned that I had recently returned to pistol target shooting, provided me with a lot of helpful information about ranges and competitions in the area. I've read some bad reviews about this place. But they where very nice. They do have sarcastic or dry humor which some people, if not used to, may take offense. Overall great experience. My visit was the complete opposite of the poor reviews. read more

New to the world of gun ownership, I tried to install tech sights on my brand new 10/22 and things went south quick. I brought in all my my parts in little bags and asked for help. I did not get his name but the guy behind the counter not only helped me out, he showed me how he does it. I highly recommend this place and look forward to bringing in my little baggies of parts in the future. read more

These guys are awesome I love the service I get every time I shop here. I have been to this store 3 times and every single time I've had excellent service. Sadly I live like an hour away so I can't go as often as I like but regardless it is worth the drive and traffic I get stuck in. I have worked with both Ray and Bruce very helpful guys and super cool. Every time I walk in this store they have a good attitude joking around making the day flow smoothly the way it should be. I always have a good time talking to them sharing some laughs and looking at their gun inventory. They really helped me out I really appreciate them. This is an example of how gun stores should be. Great place to shop! A good selection of guns dating from WWI to present and mostly in good condition! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all the weapons on display. Bruce, the gunsmith is very good at what he does and he's really funny. Overall, I highly recommend shopping here compared to most other gun shops! read more

My grandfather's Remington 11-49 auto loading shotgun stop ejecting. This was after a shooting outing with my two sons, the fourth generation to shoot his gun. The extractor had broken and was missing from the gun, only a bent spring was left in its place. I googled the gun, production ended in 1968 it was at least as old as I am. Chances of finding the missing parts did not seem bright. I took the old gun to Gun Runners; thought I'd give it a shot. I figured I would have to leave it for a while, while they hunted down a part, from "parts known". I was quite doubtful as to whether the gun would ever function again. Well, to my pleasant surprise they fixed the gun! While I waited, in a very short time. I was in disbelief, and somewhat giddy. It seems the extractor from a model 870 pump shotgun was a fit. Who would of knew? They charge me almost nothing, and I was on my way. These guys know their stuff. The geek squad could learn a thing or two about speed and customer service form them. read more

I live close by and it must be the reason why I kept coming here. I had made one purchase and 4 out of state transfers here. The staff is informative when you ask questions. However, I don't appreciate their style of customer service. On 3 occasions I had entered the shop and stood by the counter for at least 10 minutes without anybody saying hello or making eye contact. When making purchases I don't like be treated as an inconvenience or an annoyance. To be honest, I kind of felt bad interrupting the employees conversation to purchase a $700 gun. In this day and age customer service is what keeps customers coming back. If I take my wife to dinner and I get crappy service. I'm not coming back. If I'm going to drop over $500 in a store then I expect some customer service. Their used guns are a bit over priced and I enjoy their website. It is fun to get a list of guns that are always sold out. It kind of defeats the purpose of a website. If your are in the San Gabriel area drop by Bain and Davis. It's a smaller store but they do first class gunwork, they always have good product, and the customer service is way better. As soon as you walk in the door even if they are busy with other customers you always get a nod, hello, or we'll be right with you. I'll be coming back to them. They at least appreciate the business and treat you with respect. This is where my hard earned dollars will be going. read more

Best Random gun shop visit ever. I called about a magazine release catch part for a ar15 a guy answered and assured me they had some in stock and just come on in when I arrived a older person who I assume was the owner and person who answered the phone help me out and he tried to locate the part after few minutes looking around he told me I was lucky guy he found only one and it was a SIG AMBI MAG RELEASE( retail $45) told me he didn't want to send me away after he told me on the phone he had some In stock and just sold it to me for 10 BUCKS!!! Gunrunners has excellent customer service. The only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is that they lack some of the selection of larger stores, if you're there to make a purchase. They are the only gunsmith in Los Angeles that can do small gunsmithing jobs while you wait (if they're not too busy). As to to some of the negative reviews: the men in this shop don't suffer fools lightly. Don't be a fool, and you'll get great customer service! read more

walked in there to get the night sights installed on my M&P. Bruce installed it within 15-20 minutes. Excellent service and good quality of work! It's not the friendliest place but Bruce knows what he is doing. Other places charge $40-50 to install sights but Bruce only asked for $25. Best of all, after the work was done he said, "Merry Christmas! it's on us". He did it for FREE! Thanks Bruce! read more

Knowledgeable folks. So much better than going to Turners. While they don't have the discounts that Turners has since they don't have the same volume / buying power, they make up for it in great service. On 1/25/12 I went to gunrunners. As most gun dealers I have come across, the employees had an odd personality. I had to deal with these guys because I purchased a gun from their booth at a gun show. After dealing with the annoying personalities I was glad to leave; however, I think that I got a good deal. Overall they are good, but the store was low in stocked merchandise. read more

We are first-time gun owners intending to use the gun for home protection and gun range use. Found this local business on Yelp and noted it had very good reviews. The gentlemen behind the counter were very knowledgeable! They asked us questions and helped us determine what the right gun was for us. After explaining numerous facotors including kickback, reliability (no jamming), and ease of use (no cocking of the gun), we decided a revolver was the appropriate gun for our needs. We settled on a really nice Smith & Wesson 357. I researched prices and believe the one for the used gun we are going to purchase is fair. I like that they have all their guns featured on their website so we can see what is readily available. Great guys, very informed, and good consultants - would highly recommend! read more

If you have no self respect or anything else to do, Gun Runners is your place. Otherwise, go elsewhere. Went looking for my first shotgun. Waited 12 minutes at Turners to have my number called and was treated like an appreciated guest whose business was wanted. After waiting 16 minutes (yes, I counted) at this place, I was given the opportunity to have pointed out to me everything I don't know about shotguns, and just how much I was wasting the valuable time of the gun-slinger behind the counter. Obviously the store was not in need of my money. So, I gave it to Turners instead. And, I didn't mind waiting another 14 minutes to have my number called. read more

At first I was relieved to find that there was a local gun shop which could cater to my needs, but upon first entering the shop, I do not get even the light of day. I have to physically call one of the people to come and help me which would take sometimes 5 minutes. Also the manner of which they address their customers is unprofessional and unacceptable. For example, when picking up a gun purchase they asked for my copy of the receipt which they had a duplicate of. I did not know this was required for the picking up my order so they proceeded to tell me that I was F*****. I was taken back at the level of unprofessionalism. Eventually he went to the back and found my gun and everything was settled. Two of the staff members were incredibly helpful and were really the only reason I continued going there but that last visit pushed it over the top. I will definitely not be taking my gun related business to them anytime soon. read more
