I didn't want to leave a poor/neutral review for RS since I've had many great experiences with the staff here and have purchased multiple items from this store in the past. However, my most recent visit has been frustrating. I dropped off a handgun at the end of November for three services and was quoted 6-8 weeks max. I had planned to attend a training in late February, so based on that timeline I expected to have my handgun back by the end of January. We are now approaching 15 weeks, and my firearm is still not ready. Can't even reschedule my class as the staff has been unable to give me a date each time I've called. I didn't want to leave a negative review because my previous experiences here have been great, but this delay is honestly unreasonable. If I would have known the turn around time I would have skipped on services. A friend of mine dropped off his handgun at a different shop for the same services and had it back within a month. I am paying full price for 2 of the 3 services so I might as well have just taken it to the other shop.. I would still consider purchasing items from this store, but unfortunately I will most likely not be returning here for gunsmithing services. read more

Store is very clean. Staff is great. They always got jokes. Rifle supply events are big. Been to two mid summer events both great turnouts. But I'm not lucky when it comes to raffle time. This place is first-class. Everyone here is nice and very knowledgeable. They have an orderly queue, so you know exactly when you are up next. Good selection of firearms. My primary reason for the high rating, though, is that they will proceed with a sale should the background from the DOJ come back as "undetermined." Gun shops have authorization to sell firearms to people if California's incompetent DOJ can't make a determination on your legal right to possess. Some shops have a policy not to make the sale, which I think is insane because there should be no reason to deny someone's 2nd Amendment right to bear arms (unless you legit have something on your record in which case the DOJ should actually flag it). At a different shop, the DOJ, in fact, labeled my background as undetermined. So, I came here thinking that I'd have to wait for another "undetermined" status, but, luckily, the DOJ approved the sale this time around, as they should, because I'm an outstanding citizen with no prohibitions. Nevertheless, I appreciate a shop that prioritizes the fundamental rights that all Americans have. read more

Have been wanting to visit Rifle Supply for almost a year. Just crazy things in life stopped my visits. I finally was able to drive down on Sunday. A preface is that I'd messaged a few times to ask basic questions. They always responded quickly with some really helpful information. In person, on Sunday, the store was just incredibly well organized. Even though I was there for an amazing sale, I found myself browsing dozens of items too! Staff was upbeat, helpful & just good people. Great convo over several items, rifles, pistols & cool items of which they had quantity. Excellent customer service all around with really insane discounts with them covering the FET.Great deal in a time where a hamburger can set ya back $30. Will absolutely be heading back. I should have taken pictures to add but I was just having SO much fun checking out items! I enjoy shopping OC local and it really resonates they love what they do. 12/08/2023 I came today after the standard 10 day waiting period for California to pick up my great Black Friday purchase. Rifle Supply is a small well stocked Gun Store in Huntington Beach I've been here twice they have long single file lines it's really popular as lots of customers come here. They have great customer service every one I've dealt with were courteous and professional. I got an awesome deal that I couldn't pass up. Picked up the RS-15 Standard Model. Oh yeah I'm a Gun Dad. Got my daughter a AR-15 for Christmas. LMAO who does that? Comes with a PMag 10 due to California restrictions, if I lived in a free state I would get a 30 rounder. My experience with Rifle Supply was going great until they sold me an RS-15 that didn't work right out of the box. This is a review of their customer service and gunsmithing "warranty" process. This used to be my dedicated store for all my firearm and accessory purchases because the staff was friendly and they always had a lot of items in stock. I purchased two AR's from them an RS-15 and then a GB-15 Ghost Blaster. I picked them both up the same day and then went to the range with some friends to test them out. Here's where things went wrong... The GB-15 functioned flawlessly but the RS-15 didn't. Keep in mind these are both internally identical 5.56/223 rifles with the only difference being the Cerakote work. The RS-15 was virtually unusable and wouldn't go through a mag without failing to feed. I tried using different magazines and ammo which didn't rectify the issue. What happened was the bolt would slam into the partially fed round (See pic below). Went straight to the store from the range so they could address the issue. An incentive of purchasing their in house built rifles was that they had a lifetime warranty. They did partially take it apart and performed a brief inspection to find any obvious issues but everything seemed ok. So it was checked in for their gunsmith to perform in house warranty work. A week passed so I stopped by to check the status and also pick up my ID because they forgot to give it back to me during my last visit. There was no change in status and they haven't even test fired it to verify the issue. This surprised me and I respectfully made it clear to them of my expectations given the circumstances of the situation. If you bought a brand new car from the dealership and it broke down as you were driving home, isn't that upsetting? The dealership would make it TOP PRIORITY to get that vehicle fixed ASAP and back to the customer who spent their hard earned money on a brand new car. I made it clear that I expected my RS-15 to be fixed in a timely manner because it was the correct way to handle the situation. They told me that gun smithing services have a 2-3 week lead time. I understand if this was a year old rifle to have to wait but having malfunctions on a brand new rifle built by you isn't a priority?! I mean the worst thing to damage a firearm manufacturer's reputation is selling an unreliable gun. They said that they "think" the gas block needs replacement but they don't have any. I thought that was weird when they're literally producing burnt bronze and limited edition RS-15's. I guess they have to meet their sales quota's. Now two weeks later I called to tell them I was gonna pick up the rifle whether it was fixed or not. I was surprised for them to tell me that it was fixed (They never called to tell me). The issue ended up being a loose/misaligned gas block. Something that the gunsmith could have figured out in less than an hour!! Could I have fixed it myself? Sure but why? When part of the deal was that the RS-15 came with a warranty. I didn't expect a top of the line rifle but the least they can do is fix their mistakes and make it a priority. I haven't been to the range yet so can't say whether it's actually fixed. I really wanted to give my business to a local independent shop but this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. They lost my trust and my respect and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The workforce here is very knowledgeable and will be able to help you in whatever you are looking for. They are also good at recommendations. The service is perfect. Sometimes you might catch yourself waiting quite a bit. You have to get on a waitlist when you get here. But the time usually goes by quick. I've never been inside a gun shop before. The people here are so nice and friendly. They make everything way less intimidating. As a female without any prior experience in this field it's nice to know you can walk in here and ask questions and not made to feel dumb. Also their staff is super cute! All of them. Like they only hire good looking people. I wish they had more apparel for women. I think I own the three things they have for us. They also have a Cars and Coffee event that they do every month. Made a purchase where the item was listed and service line indicates then is in stock or it wouldn't be listed. I waited 5+ weeks for fulfillment. After 3 separate calls to Customer Service and assurance I would eventually receive the item, I was emailed a notice that I would be refunded an amount LESS than the amount I paid and absent the tax I also paid. I have emailed their support with detailed evidence of problem and received no response after 10 days. read more

The staff is very friendly. They have a wide variety of nice handguns. However I went for gunsmithing service for a broken S&W revolver trigger pin and told them it would be ok to send back to Smith if they can't fix it and I was told they would send it if they couldn't fix it rather than wing it on the repair. 3 weeks later was told it was ready. When I went to pick it up, the pin was still broken and I was told the pin and trigger were held in place by spring tension...yes I'm aware the gun will fire but it's not consistent like before. I get more light primer strikes this way. That pin is not supposed to come off the frame, it's supposed to be welded or press fit to the frame which is why I brought it in to be reattached. There is also a clear break at the base showing it's most definitely not supposed to come off. Allowing spring tension to hold it all together without securing the trigger gives inconsistent trigger and hammer drop. Could have sent it to Smith and I would still have paid them the fee to diagnose the issue. I did pay the fee but there was zero work and it was not sent back to Smith. I opened it up later after running some rounds thru it (sure enough, some light primer strikes) to check out the internals. I discovered my grips were missing a grip pin. There were 2 inside the grip when I brought it to the shop, so the gunsmith lost one of my grip pins... The gunsmith here doesn't appear to be particularly knowledgeable in revolvers. Go elsewhere for servicing one. They probably know more about semis. read more
