Never welcomed me or said goodbye. A week later an eye situation came up that I knew I needed to see an Opthalmologist and I asked Coastal if they recommended one. The gal said I had to come in because I needed a referral. I knew it wasn't right but I visited and the man Doc had no idea where to send me. He was muddling around on the computer and I saw one that was accepting new patients. I was leaving and the girls told me I owed them $38, for what????? No one touched me was except to puff my eyes and I told her I had just had all that a week ago with them. She immediately seemed alarmed when she seated me. None of them knew why I was there. I absolutely denied to pay them. They did nothing!!! My husband went there the other day. He waited 20 minutes for them to call him. He was puffed and put in a room. Then a girl came in and told him the doctor would not see him until he paid my $38. He said that's between you and her. She said leave and he did! Both of us disgraced and duped. Wasted both of our time. They must be pretty hard up to muscle $38 out of either of us. They will never see our insurance again. I'm filing complaints with the state and our insurance company.

Congrats to Eye Associates for being so successful that they can refuse to grant a waiver of any sort for a patient (or in this case x-patient). After relocating to the Grand Strand area from Laurinburg, North Carolina approximately three years ago, I began searching for an excellent vision care provider. After being served by Vision Square Eye Care for the past 18 months or so, I now plan to resume looking-----because this long-established organization is clearly unable and unwilling to meet my vision care expectations as indicated by the review/rating they are receiving herein. While Dr. Moshoures has not personally examined me, another Optometrist (Debra Webb) who is employed by his organization has. When I recently discussed with him various aspects of the Calabash Office support staff's earlier unprofessional and disrespectful behavior toward me, he seemed to be receptive to this feedback; and even led me to believe things "would get better" since he had since terminated one of the individuals in question. Webb's interpersonal relationship skills were also in question, but I chose not initially raise that issue with him; since she had only examined me once before. Following my second (and final) annual eye examination with Debra Webb on December 5, 2017, I provided Dr. Moshoures with some detailed and candid feedback (in writing) regarding the quality of care I received during that visit. He had earlier requested (during a personal telephone conversation) that I submit this feedback following the December 5 visit. The feedback I subsequently provided him about a week later addressed, among other things, such issues as office wait time, total amount of time it takes to complete the entire examination, the overall office climate, the disjointed manner in which patients are seen, an unfortunate interaction between me and a Office Tech; and my perception of the tenuous patient-provider relationship I currently have with Debra Webb. All of this notwithstanding, I endeavored to end the feedback on a positive note my complimenting him "on the quality of his organization". This perception has since drastically changed. Upon receipt of this candid (written) feedback, his entire demeanor toward me immediately changed. Indeed, he and his staff seemed to turn completely against me and set about discrediting me as a patient by constructing a "picture" of half-truths and no-truths encompassing my most recent experience in his Shallotte office; buttressed by fabricated information gathered from a earlier visits at that Calabash office. He was assisted in these efforts by allowing Debra Webb to submit a separate personal "attack" letter labeling me as being both "arrogant and "possessing and disrespectful demeanor". All of the allegations were made without providing me with an opportunity to "tell my side" of the story in order to "set the record straight". Given the set of circumstances, judgements and behaviors outlined above, I cannot envision ever recommending Vision Square Eye Center to someone who is seeking high quality vision care services.

I KNOW she really cares about my eyes. I was greeted by Lily. She did the eye tests and updated my chart. I found her to be friendly and kind. The wait is usually about 15 minutes. I DON'T mind if I need to wait a little longer. I think perhaps the patient before me NEEDS a few extra minutes. No biggie for me... kindness and considerationis free. I can wait. The office is spotless. The staff are neat and clean , usually wearing color coded scrubs; very professional. Dr. Burr.... you ROCK !!

Terrible Experience!! I first thought the were great but the follow through of their process is…read moreterrible. 1) Went for contacts exam and told them at the time that I wanted glasses as well and that I had to get those thru a special site from my employer/insurance where I got a discounted rate. I was never told that there would be an additional $50 fee to measure my pupil distance if I was not buying glasses from them and that they would not email me a prescription. 2) I got a contact lenses exam and left with a couple of pairs of contacts. (These were daily wear which the doctor just scolded me about wearing daily contacts for more than a day. ) They told me that this was all they had but would order my contacts and have them in by early the next week. This was on a Friday. I had not heard from them by Tuesday so I called Wednesday mid day and found out that they had not been ordered so the young lady said she would order them then and asked me to pay for them. I paid her for the 6 month supply and they were shipped to my house. She said they had no more samples to give me while I waited so I was rinsing the dailies out while waiting. 3) I get the box in early the next week and they were the exact same prescription that I went into the clinic with of which I still had boxes of that I could have worn if they were the right prescription still. I called the office and the person says they dont see a prescription for me and that the doctor is off and he will have her call me tomorrow. The doctor calls me the next day and asks what the issue is. I re-explain the situation and she asks like she has no clue on what I need and asked why I didnt like what I had - I told her that if the ones that I had were working, why would I come to the doctor for a new eye exam and why would she give me a different set of lenses all together? I then read off the information on the box of lenses that she gave me and she said that they would call me back regarding the new order. 4) They call me back at the end of the afternoon to tell me that they have to reorder the new prescriptions from a new company and that I have to return the old ones to them to get a refund. The new ones cost more so I agree to do that without an issue. I asked them to go ahead and order the new ones and that I would take off work and bring the new ones and pick up my eye glass prescription so I can order my glasses. She said no problem. 5) Take off work, go to the clinic, turn in the wrong boxes, pay the difference, remind them that I need my prescription as I need to order from my designated vendor per my employer/insurance plan and they print it out and give it to me. Nothing ever said about the need for me to get a pupil measurement and additional fee. 6) Now a week later I go to order my glasses and entering my prescription to find out that I have to have this measurement to get the glasses and call back and they tell me that I must come back to be measured and it is a $50 fee. This office is ridiculous, the team members don't know what they are doing, you get handed off from person to person, the manager or supervisor person is rude, and the provider does not seem to know what is happening!!! I do NOT recommend them!!!
