A few months ago, I noted that this was a fresh seafood distributor. Or, as the owner Jason Janson would say, "your personal seafood purveyor." Which is both really cool and convenient - really cool because I have always wanted a personal seafood purveyor, even when I didn't know that I needed one (kind of like the ATM before there was an ATM) and convenient, because he is on my way to and from the gym every Saturday morning at 11AM (opening time). Prior to this first visit, I had scoped out his seafood offering on Facebook. There are several good selections, mostly all from the Carolina Coast, with the exception of some lobster tails, or halibut collars, or such specialty items. What makes this personal is that you can go to www.broadwatershrimp.com and join their email list and do pre-orders from there. This is a handy piece of information. I arrived for my first visit after seeing that they had live soft shell crab available and it is peak season right now. Fortunately for me, there were only six available soft shell crab that had not been on a pre-order. And I showed up at 10:30AM, so I was a bit early. They had pre-orders for 32 crab and had 38 on hand. My lucky day. Even at $12 each, still a bargain for this delicacy. All the other seafood looked fresh and excellent, but I was tapped out on seafood for today's budget. Other items are reasonable, but this is special. Jason also sets up on Friday's at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe from 11AM to 4PM but check his website or FB page as this is a full mobile market but also a pop-up location situation that may change. Jason mentioned he is also a personal chef and will be doing a full on Master's golf food spread for a client come this Sunday's final round of the Master's 2024! This seafood market and his personal chef are his primary income, so get out to visit and support this excellent market so we can have it around as an option!

I tried one more bite of a different piece to make sure and then I said no to getting sick today. So I grab the crab legs and immediately to the touch the legs are still cold. Not like room temp cooled down cold but like out the freezer still frozen cold. I cracked a larger piece open and the meat was too tough to even eat. I wasn't going to say anything to the lady but she came to the table asking so I told her about the ice cold crab legs and weird taste on the shrimp. She grabbed a leg to feel it and tried to tell me they were cold from sitting out while I was eating. She didn't respond at all to the bad meat comments we made about the shrimp or crab legs only responded about the temp of crab legs. Then told us we can heat it up at home. She ran and grabbed boxes right after that and we said we wouldn't be taking the food home. She didn't like that comment, ran up & grabbed the check to give us a full bill. That's fine we didn't complain or say we didn't want to pay it however I will leave true feedback on your business and service. I was disgusted with the food and annoyed that instead of offering to remake it or even offering to discount the bill a little she decided to argue with us. No sorry was said, no catering to the customer was even considered. Simply a pay me and get out attitude was felt by my whole family.

I was on a budget the first time I visited, so I went with the fried fish basket. It was pretty straightforward, but fresh and flavorful. The second time, I tried a dish called Get Your Hands Dirty. It was basically a seafood boil, with lobster tail, shrimp, sausage, two red potatoes, and a small piece of corn on the cob. This was all served in a plastic bag, with my choice of seasoning. Options included Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper. You can choose the degree of spiciness, from mild to extra hot. I should also add that there were are several choices of protein available, including crab, clams, and mussels. In the end, everything was cooked properly and tasted good. The seafood looked fresh and from seeing the amount of orders on a random Monday morning, looks like they fry up a lot of fish...however, I didn't try it. Lots more frozen inventory than what was on ice. The little kitchen they have was a nice surprise and enjoyed the Salt & Pepper Squid. Definitely a place for take-out as they only have a couple of stools to sit and eat. If you're a chicken wing person, this is most probably the place for a good fried wing!

The foods are typical Chinese and deep fried fish. The difference between this place and a typical Asian takeout is their specials on Friday. It varies depending on what they cook that day, but I was told it usually runs out by 10:30am. Their specials are only $6. Definitely would recommend this place on Friday, but get there early or their specials will be gone.

Apparently the restaurant just opened in August of 2021 but, the International store has been there for over 8 years! I'm definitely happy I stopped by today and tried out the Jamaican food. The flavors were Very good, fresh and the Hot sauce was on point too! I will return soon now that I have found this convenient Fresh restaurant. The owner of it, Coco, was super nice and positive.
