I am severely near-sighted (-8.5) & when the doc looked into my eyes, he demanded my eyes be dilated because a part of my eye was so thin, he said I might have to have emergency surgery to fix it that day. After he dilated my eyes & said the thin part wasn't disconnected, the clinic happily charged me for the check-up & the dilation, which was well over $200 (I am a student--I don't have a lot of money). On top of that, the doc freaked me out because no other optometrist I'd seen had ever had such an alarming response to the shape of my eyes (I have seen optometrists fairly regularly for nearly 30 years). I later went to another optometrist in town who said that part of my eye was thin because I was so near-sighted and it was nothing to worry about. I left the Stillwater Vision Clinic feeling like I'd been cheated out of money & scared that my eyes were going to fail me. I have not since and will never return to this place.

I did have a recent fractured vertebrae, and didn't get referred to Interventional Radiology in a timely manner, but it might have been their fault instead of hers. It never got fixed, and still bothers me. However, I had a prior one that did get referred timely, and was repaired. In every other way, we have been very pleased with our care. It is a very personal experience.

I am terrified of dentistry. The kindnesses shown by all the staff to me was simply incredible. The nurse for me never left my side. She held my hand at times without prompting which immediately reduced my anxiety level. During the surgery procedures themselves I was comfortable. No pain at all. When there was as an anomaly on the temporary denture the doctor and the Lab Man fixed it. Dr McIntire was patient and exacting to ensure the best result. What else,? my ride who was waiting for me heard a mother lambast the staff for not doing a dental procedure on her son, who was non compliant with pre-op instructions. My goodness, in the back while I was in recovery, the staff was professional and only spoke of the incident in a manner meant to allay future occurrences. No mention of the fact that this office was more concerned about the health of the mother's son than the mother herself. I had no idea that there was as a mom yelling at the staff in the reception area. So, bottom line here, if you want the best dental surgeon and staff around, don't dawdle to get your smile back like I did.

When he did the procedure to remove it, the cataract did not respond like other cataracts. He knew exactly what to do to take care of me. He did an amazing job. It was So smooth. I really appreciate that they were willing to work us in on short notice during a semi emergency…read more It was very difficult to schedule a follow up appointment however as they did not answer their phones, return my several voicemails, or respond to my appointment request that was made online. I don't know if something was up with their equipment or what, but saw on Google Reviews that several others also had this issue recently. I did finally get a hold of them 6 business days later after I called for the 4th time, though no explanation or apology was given about what happened before. Being that this is a smaller office, expect to have to wait for things like Crowns, they don't have a way to make them in office like most places. I really cannot emphasize enough that the office staff here is awful. You will hear them nonstop gossiping about nsfw topics if you're waiting in the lobby. When they do talk to patients, they talk like robots. I felt so bad for the several walk-ins that came by during my last visit. The office person simply didn't know how to interact with them when she learned they weren't existing patients. I am assuming she was flustered so she reverted to asking them the same check in questions over and over again which confused things even further as they had said at least twice already that they were new and didn't have appointments. I appreciate the professionalism of the dentist and hygienist here, but likely will be finding somewhere else that is a little more with the times.
