I told him I would put a bad review and he replied within 10 minutes with this lame excuse " it was getting late Saturday and I could not make it". First of all. If that was the case, the professional thing to do would be to message me on Saturday, letting me know that he wasn't going to be able to make it and offering an alternate time. Pathetic. Unprofessional. Disrespectful. He did not deserve the one star I had to give him. I hope many people read this review and stay away from this company.

I had them do some work for me several years ago and they did a good job…read more So, when I needed another job done, I called on them. That was a big mistake. I have no idea what has happened to the company since my first experience, but this wasn't what I expected. When I checked on their progress the first day, there were several issues that were quite obvious, so I had to point those out to them the next day. Then, they cut the bottom of my gate fence far too short than necessary to fit a paver underneath. It was very unsightly and below the standards of a very strict HOA. They promised to come back in three days to fix the gate and asked for the rest of the payment for the project. Being trusting, I paid them. That too, was a mistake. From then on, they either made excuses or didn't bother to respond to my many emails and phone calls. Finally, after threats of legal action and mention of recordings on outdoor cameras of them promising to come back and fix the gate, they finally came back about 1 1/2 months later and repaired the gate. Fast forward to March 19th. I noticed the mortar used for the stones was separating and/or breaking apart in several areas. So, I first contacted Love for Lawns by email and notified them of the problem, because the workmanship is still under the 1-year warranty. In response, on March 20th, they told me they would put me on their "warranty schedule". That never happened and they never responded to any of my calls and emails after that. After a Google Review, the last email I received from them was on May 19th, stating "I will schedule the repair for next week". Again, I have not heard from them since. I tried to be patient and probably gave them more chances than most would before I took to Google Review and Yelp to provide reviews. I finally resorted to sending them a 'Final Notice' certified letter dated June 3rd, giving them 10 days to respond or I would pursue legal/regulatory options. Still no response as of yet. So, here I am.

I truly believe that if you came out to inspect the work yourself, you would agree that it does not meet acceptable standards. I contacted Matt Clayman about revamping my front and back yard. We had some irrigation problems…read morelast year and coupled with last year's drought we had lost most of our front and back lawn. Matt put together an outstanding plan to minimize the grass in the front, construct magnificent stone masonry garden beds in the front populated with lovely greenery and native plants. He also got rid of the home made stone path in our side yard to our fence door and put in a spectacular walking path surrounded by a wide bed of river rock. In the back yard, his team constructed another masonry garden bed which was perfectly level with our back porch and even has very wide stepping stones built in. In addition to all of this the Clayman Outdoors team re-sodded our complete front yard and the most negatively effected areas in our back yard. This was installed only after tweaking our irrigation system so that we wouldn't have further issues going forward. The crown jewel of the project has to be the driveway extension. It exceeded our greatest expectations. The driveway now has a good 3 foot extension on masoned stone. This extends from the cul-de-sac to our front door. It really serves both a practical as well as an esthetic function. Before our two cars were somewhat cramped in the driveway and we would have to walk in the grass to enter the home or bring in groceries. That is no longer the case! The cherry on top of this whole project was the installation of accent lighting. Our entire front yard is now lit with charming bed and path lights. We also have uplifting on our two trees in the front yard as well as the house. My wife constantly says she feels like we are coming home to a resort. This company does excellent work and I would recommend them to anyone.

While they may have been great in the beginning, their service started lacking and falling. There were times that I would have to go over and mow her yard because Perfection had just been there and it didn't appear they had touched anything. They offer weed-eating, but that wasn't ever done past their first visit. The yard was never 'lined up' or edge. The straw that broke the camel's back was when their mower picked up a rock and it hit the driver's window of my mother's car. No one bothered to tell her about it. Instead she had to find out the following day when leaving for a medical appointment. She replaced the window. When she called Perfection to cancel service, the operative on the phone got hostile with her claiming that the mowers NEVER kick up rocks. That the mowers ALWAYS do a wonderful job. That Perfection REFUSES to accepts responsibility for the broken window, or their crap service. My mother's yard looks impeccable at this very moment... my brother-in-law went and did everything that Perfection was hired to do, and failed.
