Risotto with pork shank and Osobucco
Veronica M.

This was our first night I. Milan. This restaurant is not in the tourist part of town. It was amazing. Best food I have had during our two week travel throughout Italy. Food was fresh, very large portions, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. It was like you steeped into and old brick ceiling building with the old school ambiance of a wine shop. Wait staff was wonderful. Don't come to Milan and miss out on this one.

Risotto Milanese con Ossobuco

You MUST try the risotto here. I ordered the Risotto Milanese con Ossobuco and it was the best risotto I've ever had in my life. The Ossobuco was also extremely delicious. They serve huge portions of risotto here - only one of the five of us could finish our servings. We also got the tiramisu dessert, which was delicious. This place was recommended to us by a coworker who lives in Milan. It was very quiet and not busy on a Wednesday evening. We were running late and called to change our reservation, and they very kindly moved it by 30 minutes. The servers are very accommodating to English-speaking tourists.

We decided to try this spot for our last meal in Milan (and Italy overall) and we were not disappointed! We went straight for the risotto and meat pairings - one marrowbone (ossobuco) with saffron risotto and one lamb chops with the red wine risotto. Both were fantastic, but they may have been the best lamb chops I've ever had. All had perfect marbling and flavor and just came right off the bone. The ambiance was also stellar and intimate as well however also gave me a vibe of where some business meetings are conducted. A little pricier than some of the other spots we went too, but food was just as fantastic so can't complain! Really great meal to finish the trip!

Was here cause a really good friend of mine recommended it. So decided ti give this place a shot. Ambiance really quiet and chic on the inside, giving a nice relaxing environment, really good to unwind and dig in some good food and wine that this place offers. The pumpkin flan for appetizer was the most delicious appetizer i've ever had anywhere in Italy, something really unique and sophisticated on the palate. Both of the rice we ordered were to die for, really interesting and delicious rice combos. I'd really give this place a 10 out of 10. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Recommend it to all.

Great service and ambiance!

Fantastico! This might actually be the best Italian meal I've ever had. The whole experience was…read morejust one of a kind and I am so thankful to be able to be part of it. Upon arriving to the restaurant, my wife and I had no expectations of the place. We only chose this place because the reviews were good and the tasting menu was pretty cheap. We were greeted by one of the cooks ( one of only two ) and she had a bit of a surprised look on her face. She probably doesn't get too many foreigners because this place is so local. We sat towards the back next to a table of three local Italians. The last table was for a table of 12. The owner spoke no English at all and all the conversations that took place was through one of the local Italian customers. There is no menu at the restaurant. It is always a tasting menu and consists of no red meat. We started off with grilled octopus with pomegranate, then a squid salad. Later on the owner brought out some warm bread, burrata, mussels, clams with spaghetti, branzino, and some dessert. The meal also come with unlimited bottles of wine and ended the meal with a very very strong shot of espresso. Honestly, the food wasn't even the best part of the night (and that's saying a lot because every dish was delicious). The best part was just the interaction with the owner and his customers. Everyone was laughing with him, hugging him, he treated everyone like family. At one point he even started offering people cigarettes and started turning up the music so people could dance. There was nothing but love, family, and food that night and though we stayed there for 4 hours, I wish we could stay there longer.

This is a must go in Milan. I'd recommend calling ahead for dinner reservations and to mention any…read moredietary restrictions. The meals are very Sardinian, no meat. COME HUNGRY; Silvio the chef / owner essentially makes what he wants for "small" plates, but there's about 7-8 of them. All were fantastic!
