Honestly, this guy really does deserve the 5 stars. I sent out a Yelp "Request a Quote" and this guy called me within minutes. He was professional on the phone. Gave me a quote and stuck by that. He came promptly, within his stated time. He helped open my bf's car. When we couldn't find the keys, he offered to program a new fob and it was done in less than 10 min! When we figured out the original fob got stolen, George helped us AGAIN later that day to re-program my bf's car to prevent any old keys from unlocking the car without additional charges! He was very honest about what would happen if he would need to start from scratch and make a new fob again. Amazing experience with GV Automotive Keys. I had a unique and difficult request; I wanted to get an imported Smart Key Card programmed to replace one of the Keyfobs for my 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5. Recent model year and an unusual key, I can understand why most locksmiths wouldn't even attempt it. But I was committed to getting it working, because I knew it could. First went to a dealer of course. Two actually. First one quotes over $300, ridiculous. Second one was actually good on price, but they couldn't figure out how to program it. Not a good sign, but they gave me the required PIN as a consolation prize at no cost at least (shoutout to Tustin Hyundai). Armed with the PIN and plenty of research to know it could work, I started reaching out to locksmiths. You can see how that went down. Most just claimed unable to service, a few tried to explain that it wouldnt work, and others just didn't respond at all. But George took on the challenge without concern. Sent out a tech same day, a Saturday evening. I had researched the process to have tips for the tech if she couldnt get it working, but no need. She had it paired within 20 minutes. A huge thank you to George and his excellent knowledge and service of providing me with a 2nd key fob for my 2018 VW Atlas SE. He ran into a couple of problems while duplicating my original fob, which had to be diagnosed and fixed before he could finish the job. I made several attempts to resolve an issue regarding a malfunctioning duplicate key that George provided. Unfortunately, response times often took weeks, and the replacement key performed no better than the original. In each case, the key would stop working after about a week. I was assured that these replacement keys were sourced overseas and were compatible with my Mercedes, but that was not my experience. I have also tried contacting George repeatedly over the past two months without any response. I lost all my keys over the weekend, after no luck finding them I started calling around Sunday afternoon to find a lock smith. George was the first to respond. His quote was reasonable so I decided to go with him. All the other reviews about the costumer service were spot on. He initially scheduled an appointment to come out Monday, which was good enough, he ended up having availability Sunday and ended up coming out Sunday at 8 pm.
