As she was loading up her groceries in Puente Hills, apparently a very large woman was waiting to snatch my aunt's purse... which had $800 gifted from her brothers from Chinese New Year, and her key fob to the car. I immediately rushed over to her to help her move her car, and called AAA. Except AAA couldn't tow the car right away... for the Lexus LS460, it's an electronic hand brake.. and you need the key to turn it off, regardless of whether the car is set to neutral. I sent out a Yelp request for mobile keyfob replacement, and Keymasters was the 2nd to answer, with a very competitive (okay, the best pricing out of all the offers that came in), and a hard timeline of when they would arrive, and when the job would be done. 30 minutes to arrive. 20 minutes to sync and reprogram the new keyfob while locking out all old and stolen keyfobs. I had a great experience with Keymasters LA. I am a landlord and called them out because tenants thought there might be an issue with a front door lock. The locksmith was professional, communicative, and most importantly, honest. After taking a look, he was able to fix the issue the tenants were having. He then called me to explain that there was actually nothing wrong with the lock itself; it was more a matter of familiarity with how it operates. He didn't try to upsell or push unnecessary repairs, and even suggested if there are further issues, to just replace the door, as it would be more valuable in the long run compared to the cost of replacing such and old lock.
