Needed to replace a very old single very loud panel garage door. GV has friendly and speedy service, great garage door, and a competitive price. German was very nice in person and online. Responses were quick and informative through yelp. I didn't have any fancy requirements as my HOA provided all the specs required, but GV had my doors in stock. Pricing was lower than most other garage door installers. German took less than 3 hours to complete the work on his own, including removal of the old door and opener, installation of the new opener and door, and making adjustments to the hardware to fit my garage (he even adjusted the door rails so that he wouldn't have to install the extra cost low-head rails). He left the area clean after he finished. The door was whisper quiet, much less noise and vibrations than my old door. German came out to replace the two springs on my large, custom, glass garage door today. He came by the day before to measure the springs and provide an estimate. I did get 3 other estimates from a couple of other people (also from yelp with great reviews) and German's (GV) price was THE BEST. He said he could have the springs the next say and showed up on time with the correct parts, completed the repair, and I'm good to go. I can tell that the job is perfect because I can manually operate my door with or without the electric opener, with very little effort. Also, with one of the springs previously broken, my motor was having to work extra hard (which would have eventually caused it to break). I contacted a bunch of companies on yelp, and they all wanted to come for an estimate or weren't available. GV gave me a flat rate estimate via text (by far the cheapest out of any company i called), was at my house in 20 minutes, and was done in less than 30 minutes. Wow, wow, wow! I received A++ service from German today! Two of our three garage doors decided to stop functioning properly and I was officially bugging out. I was convinced we needed a whole new system and doors. I had been receiving references from neighbors, but when I did some research on the companies, they just didn't feel right. I put in a request for a bid on Yelp's new Project section. I received responses from several companies but one really stuck out to me. I wrote back to German from GV Garage Doors asking if he could give me a consultation. He had great Yelp reviews (well deserved) and a verified license. He responded quickly and said the consultation would be free, which I appreciated. We set up a meeting time (the very next day) and he showed up exactly when he said he would. He took a look at our doors and, to my relief, he said they didn't need to be replaced. He never tried to upsell me once. He took a look at our motor, the pulley, the tracks, the belts, the tension springs...etc. He said the fix was pretty easy and he could do it right then (huge sigh of relief from me).
