After years of using Precision, I'm shocked at how bad this service was. Called them for a garage door sensor error--same issue they fixed in April with no new parts. This time, a different tech sold me $310 worth of new sensors, didn't fix the problem, and then tried to upsell me on a $1,200 LiftMaster... for an opener that's only 7 years old. Here's the kicker: I didn't need new sensors OR a new opener. The real problem? A cut wire to the left sensor--something I found and fixed myself. The technician either missed the obvious or ignored it to push expensive, unnecessary parts. One star for wasting my money and my time. I do appreciate your the fact your guy was able to come out the same day. Here's my issue and the more I think about it, the more I'm kinda pissed about it. As it turned out, the problem was that two screws had fallen out of one of the metal plates that attach to the garage door at the roller joint. Carlos found the issue and said he could fix it. So, for $59.99, Carlos came to my house and found the problem. The two screws cost less than a dollar, but I haven't had anything serviced since they were here the last time and that was over 5 years ago. I stupedly agreed to the "tune up" to make sure everything kept working into the future. For 15 minutes of work and three dollars worth of lubricant, that cost me $89.95. What is also outrageous and completely inappropriate is a surprise charge of $16.95 for "Environmental Fee - Miscellaneous hardware/product/enviro fee/fuel charge." All of that should have been covered in the other two line items, considering I had agreed to $140 for less than $10.00 worth of screws and lubricant and a short drive to my house. On top of that, I had cash, my checkbook, and a credit card available as payment. Carlos told my wife that the "credit card was easiest" but then I got charged another $3.34 for using the credit card. To me, this is completely outrageous. No one would appreciate getting fleeced to the tune of $171.50 for a 15 minute service call. I chose to use your company again because I had a good experience in the past. That may not be the case in the future! I tried to reach out to your company when you emailed me with a review request but that went unanswered. I also think it's inappropriate to omit reviews you don't like from your website, that's why it's being left here too. To me, word of mouth referrals are very important and after getting ripped off, I won't be referring anyone to you again...and I did before too! read more

Quoted my 80yo Mother $400 dollars to replace springs on garage, then Said the shackles would have to be ordered because you can't even get them at Home Depot. Well guess what I went to Home Depot and bought the shackles which were $10 in stock and two springs for $60. Took me 10 mins to replace! Then He quoted her $1400 to install electric garage door. What a joke. Jorge tried to scam my elderly mom into a $2k+ new system, claiming the motor was broken and the system was too old. 1) New systems can be bought for like $200 at a big box store and 2) I fixed the problem myself in literally 2 minutes. The issue was it being disconnected from the emergency pull string after having to pull it when the power went out. All I had to do was pull the string up 90 degrees to reconnect it. Don't tell me this tech didn't know this was the problem immediately upon inspection. It cost her $60 to be lied to btw. read more

I did not see anywhere on their or your websites to leave customer testimonials, I want to leave a very dissatisfied experience I had using their services on my garage door. The company I used for these services (which is one of your affiliated companies) was Precision Garage Door Services. Please direct me to where I can leave a comment on this company or get this to someone in charge! My Email address is bearswaste@gmail.com I want to tell you how dissatisfied and disgruntled I am with Precision Garage Door Services. I called your/their company requesting a repair of one of the cables attached to a spool that is attached to the bottom of the door to a spool on the top-side of the door. When your service man came out he quoted me over $1,000.00 to replace everything on the door when it wasn't required. I have to hand it to him, he was a good salesman! I mistakenly thought, based on your good reputation that I was dealing with a reputable company that wouldn't take advantage of me! I was wrong! yes, I have to agree that he was willing to get the price down to $860.00 but that was much more than I expected to repair/replace the cable (the only thing that was required! I called another company who told me, based on my thorough explanation of the problem (being in the construction business my whole life), they said that as long as everything was okay with the rest of the equipment (which it was) they would only charge a maximum of $125.00 to repair/replace the cable. When I went back to tell him to stop work, he said he had already done so much of the work and had would have to charge me for his labor and materials that the price at that point would be around $600.00. since it was that price, it didn't make much sense to stop the work at that point and go with the company for the repairs at a MUCH LOWER COST!!! I felt like I was being roped in to your company at that point!!! While I talking with the other company, they said that this scenario had happened to several of their would-be customers. I felt totally violated and taken to the cleaners!!! In conclusion, I will now make it my mission to make anyone and everyone know how your company treats your customers, how you deceive them and how you don't make restitution once the dissatisfaction was made. My being in the business for so long I know how valuable word of mouth can take away or bring in new or repeat customers. Even though you display many positive customer opinions on your web page, I have noticed that no one has anything but positive opinions of how they were treated. It seems to me that you should also post the negative one's as well. I can tell how deceiving that practice is because there is nowhere on your website for customers to give their opinions and show that all of the opinions and referrals cannot be deleted or altered once they are given the chance to reply whether their opinions are positive or negative!!! Technician came out. I told him that my key pad for garage door works intermittently. He didn't even look at the keypad. He saw that there were LED lightbulbs in the door opener and told me that was the problem and to replace my light bulbs and not use LED bulbs. Also, my door closes intermittently, He found the sensor wires were taped together and came off. He said when the door shuts the two wires may have been shorting out, causing the door not to close .When they did my installation few years ago they should've used wire connectors, not tape so they charge me 60 dollars for a service fee. I am one person that will not be using this company. This is another company out to make a profit. They dont care about their customers. My rating would be -5 stars. Called precision garage doors for an estimate on 8/08/23. I was surprised when they told me they could be there today between 3 and 5 pm and set up the appointment. Knowbody showed up or called, so at around 530, I reached out to them and was told the estimator was running behind and I would get a call from him with an ETA. I got a call about 10 minutes or so later from the estimator, and he said that he would not make it and wanted to reschedule for the following day. I told him I had to work Saturday and I work nights. He said he could come in the morning, I explained to him again that I work nights and sleep during the day. So I just told him to forget about it and I will call another company. I feel they don't value my time, and if they can't show up for an estimate, what will happen after I hire them ? My garage door got hung up going up and was crooked. Precision service came out and said it would be $900 and change to fix it. Said they HAVE TO replace the springs when this happens. I told him I had just replaced the springs 6 mos. ago. Told him could replace the whole door and opener for that. I told him I wouldn't live long enough to get my moneys worth. He finally said he could fix it for $350 , I said Ok and he fixed it in about 15 min. This happened on the 2nd day of a four day weekend so I didn't have much choice.
