So, I just started a new rideshare business and I had an appointment all the way down in Parker to pick up 4 guys and their 4 kayaks who I was then taking to Laughlin. Well, silly me...I woke up early this past Friday morning to clean my truck before the trip and as I was about to leave, I realized I locked my damn keys in my truck. There's a first time for everything I guess! I was supposed to pick my riders up at 11:30 and here it was going on 10am. With an hour and a half drive ahead of me, you better believe I was kicking my own ass for doing something so damn stupid! While I was asking the neighbor for help, my boyfriend found Don online and after my neighbor couldn't get my truck open, I called GV Lock and Key and spoke to Don myself. He answered on the 2nd ring, said he'd be at my house in 20 min but instead got there in half that time! I felt terrible because I didn't have any cash on me that day but, gratefully, he accepted a credit card (Thank God!!!) Don worked really fast! In about 5 minutes he handed me my truck keys that before had been laying on the floorboard inside of my LOCKED Dodge Ram!!! Boy, you wanna talk about grateful!!!! I locked my keys in my 2013 Ford Explorer last night and I couldn't remember the keyless entry code because I have never used it. For over 4hrs today I tried everything I could...the hanger method, etc. to no avail. because I literally have less than $26 on a credit card to last all month. I called this company...to get a quote, but Don was driving and asked me text him my type car and address...less than 30 minutes later Don arrived. I didn't have enough money to cover the cost so I told Don I would have to call him back when I did. Then as I stood there trying to explain to my 4 yr old grandson that Nannie didn't have enough money to pay for their services. Don came in and opened it for me anyway. During these current times everyone, especially small businesses, are hurting financially and every service call counts...and he had driven from Golden Valley to my home in Kingman. Don unlocked my car in less than 5 minutes! When he opened it free of charge I felt so overwhelmed with his kindness and generosity that I literally started crying. Don's compassion and empathy for my situation is a rarity nowadays. A simple act of human kindness became such a blessing for me today...and even as I write this review I am still amazed and in awe at Don's actions. Don was an absolute life saver today. My husband accidentally took both of our gate keys with him to work leaving me and my son stranded inside our yard with no way to go anywhere. Don came out to cut the chain. He was able to do so in a way that saved my lock and, all but one link of the chain. He was very pleasant and professional, and very reasonably priced. I called Don from Golden Valley Lock and Key on a Wednesday morning. He called back later that day and made an appt for the next day to come to my house. In about an hour or less he changed all the locks on my doors to work with one key. Previously we had to use 4 different keys. He was prompt, courteous, professional and did an outstanding job. Don is great. I was locked out of a 1977 Airstream trailer because the handle broke off of the door. When I called, he offered to only charge $25 if he couldn't open it. He came out a little late because he was calling around for helpful info on this antique trailer. When he tried to open door, it was a no-go. About an hour into it, he managed to open a side window.
