Available now is a new blend of beef to make a delicious smash burgers. The new onion rings are my favorite! They are fresh made, cut and dipped into a wet batter. They are delicious! They have the French fries they have always had. They are good, BUT another new item is our fresh cut fries. Monday they run a steak night. Specials on steaks starting at 4pm. Wednesday is chicken wing and their new hand dipped fresh cut chicken chunks. Breakfast is served all day. Best sellers for breakfast is "Bobs mess", the pancakes and the big breakfast. Friday and Saturday nights they run prime rib. People come from other towns for prime rib. It's the best. They have other specials on Friday & Saturday the prime rib seems to be 1st choice. We got in ordered right away and waited an HOUR for a wrap and burger. It was not busy to where this would have been valid. our server never checked in for refills or to see if we were doing okay. the burger came out wrong but we didn't mention it due to not wanting to wait another hour. 1/10 read more

I don't care what anyone else says- this is now the best restaurant in Tiffin. Had a lovely dinner and drinks were great. It's clean and the ingredients are fresh, unlike most Tiffin restaurants that cook frozen food. read more

We got a table as soon as we arrived at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. At 11:30 we were still waiting on our food. I inquired if they were working on our ticket yet and they replied, they "hadn't got to it yet." We paid for our soda and coffee and left. As far as small town diner-style places go, GWs is at the top of the list in Tiffin. Their American diner staples shine on a menu of classics. The specials are affordable, tasty, and portion sizes are large. Driving down the street, a person wouldn't think this is a gem, but the unassuming edifice shouldn't fool an out-of-towner. This space used to be a restaurant called Wymie's, but has been transformed into something far better. I always remember Wymie's as a kid, but never remembered it being all that great. THIS place, however, is exactly what a diner should be. The roast beef Manhattan is absolutely delicious! The pies are homemade, and most of the food seems to be scratch made. Servers were prompt, courteous, and attentive. The decor is clean, for the most part, and well maintained. I could definitely recommend GWs to someone looking for a hearty meal at a good price. Usually I come here for breakfast, but they have a lot of offerings on the rest of the menu mostly I would say sports bar type things. Everything I have had has been good. Located on the South end of Washington Street in downtown Tiffin, this diner/bar has provided home cooked style meals for many years. It was previously called Wyme's and the business changed owners and is currently called GW's. Most of my recent visits have been to go there for some home-cooked breakfast rather than opting for fast food choices. They have the typical diner choices for breakfast and lunch. We always have fast and friendly service. They are always coming around and refilling our coffee. There is a large flatscreen TV on the dining side and they keep the volume low and the closed captioning on so you can watch the news while you're eating your breakfast. On the opposite side of the dining room is the bar area with ample seats up at the bar and some tables and chairs for additional seating. There are about five flatscreen TVs on that side for people wishing to watch sporting events, while enjoying a few drinks or grabbing a bite to eat. I think some of the other previous reviews of this place were a little harsh. We have never experienced anything like that and have been coming here for years. It's not perfect, but it's a nice place to come and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner at reasonable prices. Today my husband and I decided to order "The Mess" (see picture), which is one of our favorite breakfast items when we don't know what we want. There was girl in the kitchen and we assumed by her question of "what kind of cheese goes on this" that she was a new cook. I liked the way they put the egg, sort of a folded omelette style, on the top of The Mess, rather than scrambling the egg with all the other ingredients. My husband stopped by the kitchen window to compliment her as we were leaving and she said that was the first time she had made one. Not a bad place, and absolutely clutch for hungover mornings when you go to pick up your car from the Clover Club lot. The prices are fantastic, and definitely in line with the small town setting. $4.86 got me two pancakes and two scrambled eggs. Omelets are around $5 for a decently-sized serving. Heading to a diner in small town Midwestern America on a Saturday morning reeks of John Mellencamp and Quentin Tarantino, and GW's is no different. Thrown-on-the-plate presentation and copious amounts of salt are the MO for this place (definitely not complaining here). However, this is the 21st century, and alas, serving sizes are just not what they used to be. My pancakes were of decent size, but definitely weren't the of gut-wrenching size I expect from an establishment like this. My experience with the eggs was similar--does anyone ever buy extra large eggs anymore? Perhaps the entire menu, not just the senior section, is aimed at the geratric crowd. Service is normally decent--nothing to yell about--but this morning, it was particularly bad. Our food arrived on time, but we weren't given any refills in the hour and a half we spent there. This was the first time I've ever gotten a dry mouth in a restaurant--NOT a good sign. To summarize, this place is perfect if you're still reeling from the revelry of the evening prior. Bring an awkward morning-after companion here to bring inexpensive yet chivalrous closure to the night. Blew too much on booze? Not a problem. Ears still ringing? The gentle white noise of the never-rowdy crowd will keep you conscious, but not overwhelm you. And if you decide to take a nap, that's okay, too. The waitresses will either just ignore you or will tactfully let you catch a few winks between cups of coffee. read more

I guess if you're drunk this place might be ok, but the food is mainly frozen junk to go with your beer because your wife kicked your drunk ass out. The menu is unimaginative. I dread going here. I'd rather stay at home and light my money on fire. read more

Worst place I've ever been to. Sooo dirty. Opened a cooler by their front door..full of natural lights covered in Algae/ slime. And the "bartender" said he will just wash them off. I have a picture to prove it. read more

Ha--I'm not sure I'd call any of GW's food "fine," but it's a cheap diner, and a good one at that. You got a lot of decent food for very little money. As is the case with any good diner, nothing's great, but everything's good. The diner is connected to a full bar, so you can use that to your advantage. I find the breakfast far better than the dinner here, but the menu is broad enough to cover any palate. You're not going to win anyone over to staying in Tiffin just on GW's, but I know I'd be a regular here if I were a local. read more

This place is filthy...the owner sits at the bar all day long drinking and complaining to eveyone who comes in how bad business is and how he does not make any money, gossips about everything . he is definitely. The town crier. Meanwhile the kitchen is a dump nothing fresh here its either frozen crap or out of a can. The way the help dresses you never know if they are there to serve you or change your oil. The health dept in has let this dump get away with fifth way to long. Just an absolute disaster read more
