There were also two outdoor fireplaces, and the bartender was kind enough to light them for us, making the space feel even more cozy and relaxing. The brewery has a great vibe overall--comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for spending an afternoon unwinding. As a bonus, they had the most gigantic skeleton displayed inside that I've ever seen. Meat there is always, juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender and is only open until they run out of BBQ meats for the day (which usually happens on a daily basis). Sadly, Smokehouse 734 didn't even come close on the expectations I had for good BBQ in the Toledo area. The Brisket didn't even look like it was smoked - no bark on the meat at all, no truly define smoke ring, and the fat cap / meat was almost cool to the touch. Usually when brisket is smoked properly and you pick up a slice, it will bend with the juices dripping. This was not the case at Smokehouse 734. The brisket portion was 2 slices that barely covered a slice of bread. My serving of ribs still had the silver skin attached and had to work to get the meat off the bone - not able to pull the bone out of the meat. Ribs were a tad bit warmer than the brisket, but definitely not fresh off the smoker by any means. Cornbread was a bit dry (crumbly) but had a decent flavor. With all this said, probably the best part of my meal was the baked sweet potato at the ala carte price of $4.99. My search for a legit BBQ restaurant in NW Ohio / SE Michigan continues...

And Jenna was thoughtful in bringing them before our meal was ready. This location still has their covid shields between tables which is great. They could use a good cleaning though.
