Between Dr. Tsai's interest and care, and Richard's skill, they have basically allowed me to read and play the piano for more than ten minutes without requiring a nap. I feel fortunate to have met Dr. Tsai, and wish I had been under his care a decade ago. Their "so-called" administration assistants or secretaries responsible for setting up appointments, ordering eyewear, and generally dealing with customers are extremely rude and incredibly incompetent. I called to make an appointment for an eye exam with Weidig, and asked the secretary if she could provide a pack of emergency contact lenses when I come in for my exam in two weeks, and she assured me they would be there. When I came in for my exam, they had not ordered the lenses, even Dr. Weidig looked in the admissions area. No apology was offered. After my exam I ordered two new sets of eye glasses (long distance and reading) and new contacts. Over the next weeks, I received test messages that said "my eyewear was ready for pickup". When I drove in for pickup, only one pair of glasses was there, and they ended up not fitting and needed new longer temples. When I asked the Karen's at the admissions area, they got rude and said the text messages are sent out automatically and they have no control over their computers. When I asked if they could just call me and leave a short message like "Mr. Kelly, your reading glasses are here, but we're still waiting for the other items", they became defensive and rude. I waited a month for contact lenses and reading glasses. Phone calls to their offices were answered rudely and defensively by the secretary staff. I had been a patient of Dr. Breunig for about 20 years and had spent plenty of money there for exams and eyewear. This particular time I ordered over $1,000 worth of eyewear and I was treated so rudely I told one of the Karen's that you've just lost a longtime customer. She actually smiled and gave a thumbs up, happy to see me go! Dr. Breunig was actually standing right there with a scowl on his face staring me down threateningly supporting his rude staff. If I had ever treated my customers anything like these people treated me in 40 years of working with customers, I would've been fired immediately. And after I had been a longtime customer there. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy incompetent and rude behavior by this staff which is supported by their optometrists.

The office ordered the wrong contact samples multiple times. While Dr. Weidig tried several new combinations of contact lenses (prescription and brand), nothing worked better than my current prescription. Unfortunately, this trial and error approach took over a month due to the ordering mistakes by the office staff. Finally, after deciding to stay with my current prescription, I reordered them through their office. What a mistake. They once again ordered the wrong lenses for my left eye. To make matters worse, they blamed the mistake on me, saying I was confused about what I wanted because the doctor's prescription was different than what I wanted. I clearly know what I want and their incompetence was very frustrating, especially their arrogance when telling me it was my mistake. I ordered my contacts from 1800contacts! I won't go back to this office - once was enough for me.

Dr. Clark and his medical staff, the fabulous individuals you are fortunate to see, once you leave the receptionist area. Dr. Clark and his staff of nurses and residents are phenomenal. They are consistently extraordinary, which I attribute to the exceptional leadership, rapport, and fine character of Dr. Clark. Sometimes, there's a disconnect between those who are supposed to schedule, return calls, and cordially welcome you at the reception desk. He's not only a brilliant doctor and surgeon, but an artist at the top of his craft. Far too often, when you call any of the office locations, the call will go to voicemail. Dr. Clark has worked vigorously to correct this, as if it was his own family member experiencing an issue. My recommendation, if the scheduling staff does not return your call, do not wait more than two (2) business days. Call multiple times, state when you left a message, and ask again for the courtesy of a call back. If you're complacent, you may needlessly wait for a return call. Sadly, the scheduling staff, too often, operate with no sense of urgency, nor consideration. My sole mixed experience, by far, is limited to the practice's Collegeville office, where the medical staff is phenomenal, thorough, empathetic, and personable. However, the lone receptionist can be belligerent, and doesn't realize that a receptionist represents the initial impression of any business, as the person "behind the front desk" is the first person a patient, client, guest, or customer interacts with. The wonderful nurse with a fabulous demeanor, that provided all measurements of my eyes, was as sweet, efficient, professional, kind, and courteous as anyone could expect. I cannot praise her service enough. This practice affords patients the latest technology for examining your eyes; it's truly amazing. The consistent service that the highly professional, and cordial medical staff utilizes to provide the most effective, and efficient care is exceptional. There are few physicians I've ever encountered that are finer in the Ophthalmology field akin to Dr. Clark! He has compassion, empathy, and remarkable communication, and people skills. Glasses he made around a year ago were still under warranty, and I came back when the lenses were scratched. My opthamologist had given me a slightly different prescription. Initially, I ordered new glasses from Mr. Linder, but changed my mind the next day, opting for the free pair under warranty.
