    Sulcata
    Annie L.

I bought my sister a Sulcata from here (first time tortoise owners and we're still learning). The cashier was super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. He was patient with my questions and helped me pick out the baby tortoise. My sister got the tortoise sick so I called this place because the cashier says we're welcomed to call anytime if we need advice or help. Hands down, they care about their reptiles and recommended us two different pet clinics for exotic animals. We were able to take it to the vet and give it antibiotics. Totally recommend this place for anyone who want a tortoise.

This is important for any past or present buyers! I had made a few purchases from them and am very happy however with on there was an understandable human error unintentional mixup. I am a fairly angry person but working to find better civil understanding ways so I decided to think about it and write a kindly worded email about my experience the majority good and slight twist too. They quickly replied and were very kind and apologetic and immediately offered to give me exactly what I wanted in exchange no problem. I had another idea and they liked it too. So I went in and looked around and with their help found one of my dream creatures as a baby (sling), a pink toed versicolor. I have an image I look at every day just hoping to get one. Well they had one and we worked something out to where it was attainable as they had one! We finished the deal and I left in heaven happy as hell. FIVE STARS ABSOLUTELY but we tend to look at the one stars first. This being a 180 as well led me to put this review here. Thank you GX3 for not only helping me get a dream creature of mine but also doing so well in mediating the situation that I have changed my approach to everything for the better. I suggest stopping by and seeing what they have. It's a cool shop for a visit too

Wow these guys really know their stuff! Riley went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered. I will recommend them to anyone with interest in any type of reptiles. Thank you Riley!

Great place to answer all your questions. We were looking to get our son (6 yo) a "starter" snake since reptiles are something that he's quite interested in. Therefore, we decided to stop by and check this place out. We were a bit intimidated walking inside because of our limited knowledge in regard to snakes and didn't want to look like total morons. The staff here was nice, helpful and understanding. All in all, we ended up leaving with a new family member and felt ready for this new experience. I have read some negative reviews online about this place and it seems that some people got butt hurt by the knowledge that these people have. I usually have buyers remorse when spending money on a whim, but not this time. I left making an educated purchase. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

I'm going to have a very happy bearded dragon today!

If you told me a couple months ago that I would be actively searching for local stores to buy live Superworms and Dubia roaches to keep in my house, I would have laughed in your face! But here we are, I love our bearded dragon much...having a local reptile store, a few blocks away from me, that sells live feeders is so insanely convenient. I thought I would have to drive all the way to Elk Grove for these beauties. Another huge plus about the live feeders is variety. They also have hornworms, wax worms...and many others. This store has some of the coolest live reptiles for sale, so it's always interesting to look at all the animals there. It's impressive that they fit so many animals in such a small store. I like that is it also very clean, staff seems pretty awesome too. I'll be here a lot. Lol

I emailed before I went as I was looking for a Pacman frog. They got back to me right when they opened. Really cool place, lots of different lizards, snakes, amphibians and invertebrates. The salesperson pointed me to the frogs I was looking for. Would have loved 1 or 2 more color varieties but the frogs they had looked really good. Plenty of supplies for terrariums as well as live plants. Everything was well taken care of especially the creatures! Will definitely be back for supplies and food. The frog we brought home has already eaten and is settling in great!

I starting going to Gx3 for help/items for my box turtle since they are down the street from me. Every time I went in all of my questions where answered by the friendly staff. Less than a week ago I got a baby leopard tortoise from them. I named her Venus because of the "V" mark on her back, the name fits her character too. She is doing great and even eats from my hand!

Did some research on where to purchase a Bearded Dragon and this spot came up. This gentleman (didn't catch his name) took the time to teach us and explain to us everything we needed to know about the reptile + was patient and kind. A great buying experience and glad they're able to help as we are new to the reptile world. So happy with our newest addition to our family. We highly recommend for you to check out this store!!

We're usually stopping in to grab crickets or worms for our reptiles, but it's never just a quick in-and-out. Oh, and they sell pinhead crickets, which is the only place I have found that sells these tiny guys for my baby jumpers. There's always something new to look at, and a lot of times they have a reptile out, which makes it even more fun. The staff is incredibly nice and really takes their time, especially with kids. They'll answer questions, explain things in a way that actually makes sense, and if there's a reptile that can be handled, they'll let you interact with it. One thing I really appreciate is how knowledgeable they are. They don't just sell animals, they actually care about proper care. I even noticed they carry jumping spiders with the correct habitats set up, which you don't always see at other places. Helpful tip: If you have kids who are curious about reptiles, ask questions while you're there. The staff is great about explaining things and making it a fun learning experience. It's one of those local spots that feels both fun and educational, and we've honestly never had a bad experience here.

I want to start by saying the women who work here have consistently been great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and create a welcoming environment. They are the type of employees who make customers feel comfortable and respected. Unfortunately, my overall experience with this location has been disappointing from a customer service and business standpoint. On more than one occasion, I felt like I was not given the same level of attention or assistance as other customers. I felt overlooked and judged rather than welcomed, which is a terrible feeling to have when you are walking into a business ready to spend your money. During one visit, I also witnessed an interaction involving an older male employee with gauges that was very uncomfortable to watch. A customer was waiting for assistance at the counter, and instead of acknowledging her and helping her directly, he appeared to avoid assisting her and called another customer from behind her to help them first. Watching that interaction was frustrating because every customer deserves to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. I don't know the reason behind these interactions, and I won't assume someone's intentions. However, when customers repeatedly feel ignored, singled out, or treated differently, it creates an environment that does not feel welcoming. It can come across as unfair, and that is something a business should take seriously. I understand what it takes to run a business, and I know customer experience is everything. Customers are the foundation of any successful business, and every person who walks through the door should feel valued, not judged based on appearance, assumptions, or anything else. The women working here are a major positive and are the reason I still appreciate aspects of this store. However, based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this location. I would encourage people to visit other locations where the customer service and atmosphere are more consistently welcoming, respectful, and inclusive. Every customer deserves the same effort, the same respect, and the same level of service.

At this point, the people who work here genuinely feel like extended family. One of the things that makes this place so special for us is that it's not just a quick shopping trip -- it's something my daughter looks forward to. Brooklyn loves visiting on the weekends because she gets to pet the cats that roam around the store, and if we're lucky she might get to hold a bird or spend time with a guinea pig or bunny. It's such a fun, hands-on experience for kids, and the staff is always kind and patient with her. Over the years we've purchased supplies for multiple pets here, and they've helped us through several additions to our little reptile family. I actually got my first crested gecko from them when they first opened, then my daughter picked out her beautiful fire orange crested gecko, Blossom, and most recently we brought home Peachy Pete -- our adorable little "frog butt" crested gecko (he lost his tail at some point before we got him, which somehow makes him even cuter). What keeps us coming back year after year is the consistency. Everyone is knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to help without making you feel rushed or pressured. Whether we need food, habitat supplies, or advice, they take the time to make sure we leave confident. You can also tell they genuinely care about the animals themselves, which matters so much as a pet owner. It never feels transactional -- it feels like they want both the pets and the families to succeed. We almost always find what we need here, and honestly I'm so grateful they're right down the street from us because they've become such a trusted part of our routine. If you're looking for a local pet store where the staff is experienced, kind, and truly invested in helping you care for your animals, this place is a gem.
